If some of your fondest memories include road-tripping across the U.S. while flipping cassette after cassette of your favorite tunes, the next sentence will make you very sad.

According to the New York Times, new cars will no longer come with a pre-installed tape deck.

Apparently, there was still cars that had tape decks as a feature till last year. I always thought tape decks died out a long time ago. lol

I didn't know about the cassette decks either. Walmart does still sell cassette adapters so they can plug in a cd player.

My 2004 Escape doesn't even have them, yeesh.

My last car had a tape deck with no antenna for the radio. The radio seemed impossible to remove, at least to me & people who tried to take it out.
The only music I could listen to was crappy music from the 90's bought from the thrift store.

I current car has a stereo with a CD player & I can hook up my mp3 player to it + regular radio of course.

My old car could have a tape deck optional, my current one has a CD Player, Radio Player and AUX Port.

Okay, did you toast marshmallows and make smores? I mean if you are burning a bunch of stuff why not?
