A little bit of a game, a pinch of presumption, and a dash of ranting. . . the picture that someone posted earlier of a man being sent to the doghouse over some interaction between him and his wife brought me to thinking. . . Well. And an article that was on Yahoo! titled, "Make-up and Fashion Trends That Men Would Rather Women Not Follow." (Red lipstick was one of them. . . ) Was kind of curious to what advice and words we would say to the opposite gender on what we'd rather them do or not do. Like, for example? Something I would advise to men? Pick up after your damn self. Something I would tell the opposite gender? You don't have to go to the extent that I, and other women, do to make ourselves look and smell great. . . but a visible upkeep to your experience speaks WONDERS. Even if you're single! Scrub a little bit here and there, make sure to brush your hair (it's amazing how many guys I know that don't even own a comb) - and people will notice. But, you see what I'm trying to get at with this whole post? A few rules, though. 1. Don't be overly rude. A little bit catty is fine because of what we're discussig here. . . but if you're out-rightly flaming someone? Nope. Don't post. 2. Don't follow up someone's post with, "Oh, I'm a girl/guy and I don't do that." No one cares if you're the one exemption to the rule. 3. TRY to have to fun. It's supposed to be silly, intrusive, and a little bit vulgar. Let's get a little bit of ranting out! 4. If you're easily offended by the stupid things your gender does - you probably shouldn't post. If you can dish it but not deal with it, then don't post. Please try and have fun.

Here are a couple of things for both genders: Be your own self! Don't act like something you are not inside. You will end up only fooling yourself. Next thing is don't be too full of yourself. You may think you are the best thing since sliced bread was invented. Good for you. Got news for you. No one cares. Get over yourself. Everyone is epic in their own way. The sooner you realize this the better off you are. You see, true beauty like anything else comes from within. Edited by Darklight, Apr 5 2011, 12:34 AM.

Gender bending is a myth... we created gender roles to control each other.. Well at one point it was a survival advantage, but, I think we have the technology to ignore 'survival advantages'. This happens regardless of gender, but, I wish some people (mostly middle school-high school range) didn't learn 'reality' from movies. Although, it is slightly hilarious (or you hope for humanity's sake, its a troll) when someone tells me 'I'm going to join the football team/cheerlead squad so I can get sex or have a relationship with the top guy/girl. Although i think, this is more of an age thing/what society expects you to know after awhile... more gender specific i guess.. i personally hate how women are typically looked negatively at if they have leg hair, yet, a man can walk around without that worry? Although, I personally, dont give a fuck and I'll shave my legs when I want to lol |

@ the leg shaving comment: Yeah. I completely agree with you. It's kind of difficult for me to say, "Well, I started shaving because I hated hair in the first place, no one made me do it . ." because there's a line between what you perceive from others and the beginning of a habit. If hair was an okay thing to have on women, would I have ever even felt the need to shave in the first place? Regardless, shaving is fine by me. My advice. BASS IS NOT COOL PEOPLE. STOP GIVING IT PRIORITY OVER THE ACTUAL MUSIC. |
