I don't know much about coding but here is what i do know. Follow this tutorial to learn the basics to coding. Post tags. Starting a tag with [ ] and ending with [/] you can alter the posts in terms of the following. Bold text. example
Italic text. example
Underlined text. example
Change font. example
Change size. example
Change color. example
Make list.
Align text. example
Board tags. In the headers are four board tags. Board Header, Navigation, Board and Stats Placing a code under one tag will cause the code to appear in that place on your board. Example. The scrolling text code you see above this post was placed underneath the navigation tag. The scrolling affiliate box underneath the post was placed under the board tag. Hex values. Hex values are codes that represent colors, although usually associated with skinning it is sometimes used in coding. each color has its own six letter/number hex value. a hex value chart can be found by clicking here. Span styles. Span styles are similar to the post tags except that they work in the board headers instead of posts. Instead of using [] [/] you use <> </> Combined with hex values they are often used to change the group colors. Example. <span style='color:#CC9900'> or if you want the strike-through effect. <span style="text-decoration:line-through; color: #555555"> Code conflicts. Sometimes if you try to use two of the same codes at once, the second code will start to write instructions to the first one. If this happens, none of the codes will work. Example. The PM style staff application form in this forum requires a code in the footers in order to make the option choices recognisable. For this reason, we do not have a PM style GFX request form because it will conflict with the staff application form. |

Using <></> tags is HTML and used in CSS [][/] is used for BB codes on the forum, eg making stuff underlined or whatever in a post. |
