Julius did not smile nor show any real emotion as he was lead through the gate. The guardwoman's response was expected, as was her refusal to allow the other non-humans plus 1, into the district. Her subsequent prying into the their business after they were out of earshot was also par for the course. Julius allowed Owen to speak first but quickly came to realize that the guard new even less than they did about the mission. It was..an irksome fact. With a slight cough and a mental reminder to keep his tone professional, Julius gave the woman the answer she was looking for.

"My group and I have come to the Garden district to see Sir Amadeus Solum. We have been tasked with retrieving something very important to the man. Beyond that I cannot say, Ma'am. I must also insist that the rest of my team be allowed to come with. We are under direct orders to operate as a unit if one of us fails, we all fail. And the price of failure, ma'am, is the destruction of half the city if we are not allowed to continue are investigation unimpeded. Understand that I mean no disrespect to you or your station. I am merely operating under the orders of Captain Xathes. Thank you, ma'am."

Once again Julius was sure to stare the woman dead in the eyes. There was no lie in his words, no ulterior motive and he wanted that conveyed as clearly as possible. This woman was tough to be sure, but not beyond reasoning with...he hoped.

Jacob smiled and laughed a bit. "Ya gotta love racism.." He said under his breath. He then looked at the group around him and smiled, He waved them over, out of guard earshot. "Alright, you lot are with me, and I have an Idea or two." He gave a smile. He was really trying to look pleasant, but it just wasnt something that could happen for him. He cleared his throat a bit and began to talk.

"Way I see it, your all stuck with me. Which is good, Im big, and know my way around.. most places. Now here is what we need to do. Get where they think we belong. The sewers." He smiled a bit and looked to the ratman. "Skitters, I know this place looks strange, but the veins of this city is our home, and no matter how rich you are, shit still stinks. Can you use that nose of yours to find us a manhole?" He asked with another Nice smile.

He then turned his attention to the fairy "Alright wings, you can do me a favor too. Sometimes, under the under rail stations in little vents that lead to power breakers. I am going to assume that this place might be a grid junction. If I could get you to squeeze into one of those holes, I could get you to cut the power. That would give the guards something to look at over us. Unless you get caught that is." He chuckled at the thought of a fire fight in the garden district.

Jacob then turned to the poor human that got cast out with him. "Now for you, master craftsman. I hope you have some of your tools with you. Or at least know the workings of these manholes to help us out. See, most of them in the higher districts seem to have locks on em. Little latches and the sort, most are hard, even for me, to break. Maybe you could fashion something to bust it off, or open it?" Jacob nodded a bit and figured that was a good plan.
"Any questions?"

Isolde perched on top of the light pole. He peered down on the city like a large pigeon garbed in a garbage sack. He narrowed his eyes down at the two military men from their group as they left with the woman. He scoffed at them.

"filthy filthy man deserter things! although he was content that they were gone, he felt a little sorrowful. For in those two gentlemen Isolde saw something. Something he valued. i never got the chance to eat those man things. He thought, with a heavy heart.

His attention snapped to the big brute. He was pointing at him, and saying something.... Almost.... Like an order.

Isoldes hair stood on end "filthy man half breed thing! Give ME ord-" he stopped in mid sentence, his whole body froze when the words "sewer" and "man hole" came into play.

He whipped down the pole in one single liquid motion. He hit the ground lightly and shot out from it. He was sniffing the air, feverishly, like a big filthy blood hound, searching for a way in

Berek gave the half giant a considering look. He'd been brash and angry earlier, but he seemed thoughtful now. Guess he and Berek were quite similar in a lot of ways. He placed a hand on Jacob's shoulder and nodded. "That's better than what I was thinking." he admitted. In truth he was still contemplating. "And I'm sure the locks will break if I apply proper force to the weakest areas. I'll follow and look for any locks to be broken."
He took out his hammer and hefted it.

Varidia was looking at the half-giant in surprise "That... is a surprisingly good plan. better than some I have heard. Didn't think you had it in you Big-guy! I'll look."

Getting into the air, Varidia went to look for a vent to get into.

Owen had a quiet word with his companion in the Cab.

"Forgive my ignorance friend, I know not whether my superiors had no information to give me, or if I am supposed to be in the dark as to your mission. But I'd like to know more since we have a moment. I wonder if I should have got the ballistic plates out of the locker for this..."

When they arrived, the head of Solum, security detail greeted them respectfully, though making it clear that they again had an obstacle. Owen opened a pocket in his vest to procure his ID documents, doubtless Julius would follow suit.

"I am Corporal Owen Cantor of the City Guard, and this is Julius Sinclair of the Military Forces. We are under orders to speak to mister Solum."

Berek regarded the guard and nudged Jacob. "We might need a distraction." he told the Half Giant in a whisper. "I don't suppose you know how to dance or sing?"
Usually the artisan was quiet but...he could make jokes.

Varida was looking at the vast tangle of wires, not knowing which to pull. eventually she said screw it at started pulling a bunch of random ones. All they needed was a distraction after all. After pulling a crap-ton of the wires out, She GTFOed and when to a pace to see what happened and hopefully not be spotted.

Jacob smiled down at the Smith. "I already sent it off. If bugsie found the vent, and did what she could with it, we should be getting quite the song and dance." He smiled and waited, looking at the guard and simply waiting. "And if skitters found a sewer entrance, where I think he might.... we will have our way into that fancy human district in no time. So just sit tight a moment. Were baking a cake right now. Wander with me a bit, do me a favor and give me some things to hold, we dont want the guard thinking, your listening to my ideas now do we?" He had his face turned as he talked and after he finished thinking he scratched his head for a long while, he slumped slightly and his eyes looked glazed over.

He then paced a bit, walking even a bit sluggishly. So it would look like the crafts man might be telling him what to do. He nodded several times and pointed. "Hamma!" He said happily. He figured human racism and disregard for half breeds would help him though this. It had in the past.

Curses, foiled again. Isolde cursed all the man things that his beloved sewers were so close yet far away. Begrudge rly, with a flick of his tail he returned back to the fold.

Isolde bounded over to Jacobs heel. He stopped and gave Jacob the bad news.

"filthy man train is blocking our sewers. Isolde could get to sewers, but man things will have trouble.

Varidia knew what was happening as soon as it started, and reacted quickly. Instead of flying up and away like she would have done herself, she made a Portal and used it to take part of the tracks out.She then used her Ice Missles on the tracks after the gap, to try and make a extra layer of protection between them and the Train. Then, in case that all failed, she flew up higher and to the side, so, even if they died, she had a chance.

Jacob looked around and saw the fairy cast her magic. "You killed us you dumb flying little tart!" He cursed as he saw part of the track disappear. It was hard, but still manageable to get away from a train. All the fairy did was ensure a wreck, and wrecks were unpredictable. There was no way to tell where the Tons, and Tons, of metal would go. Weight with its best friends Momentum were about to play havoc. No amount of ice would stop that weight.

The Half Giant moved quickly. The sides would have been the best place to go, for a normal train. Yet this thing was going to cause some major damage. They needed to find a maintenance shaft, a small alcove in the side of the wall they could hide in. Those were normally reinforced and might, key word being might, stop the train. At least long enough for them to run down the thing. At least the Distraction went okay. Though now he was worried about what trouble he was going to cause his surface partners. The guards knew they all showed up together. "Run! Skitters, we cant see like you, find a maintenance duct, anything! This is going to cause a big mess!" The Half giant ran, pulling the human craftsman with him, if he wasnt already running. He hoped the ratman could see better than him.

Berek turned his head to the Fey and gave her the best 'what in the hell' look he could pull off. This was so ridiculous it was almost funny, and he turned and ran from the train, staying near the sides of the underrail so he could dodge if there was an opening in the train's crash.
