I'm also announcing some things here. One is, while Pirates are prominent in this RP, I have made a big world on land for you to explore and quest in too. The City of Darkwater is 40 miles inland, with quarreling Lords and adventure just waiting to happen, for instance.

Alright. Intial ki questions. There'll be a few.

1. Is it possible to hadouken?
2. How hard is it to hadouken
3. What exactly is ki?
4. How does it work?

Think of this like dragonball, except really really really powered down. There is no 'visible' energy (unless you are powerful enough to emit an aura, and believe me...I doubt you ever will be.) but the closest thing to a Hadouken is the "Empty Force" technique, or Quigong. It's not so much of a kamehameha as it is this. It's like a punch, only the energy is manipulated out of you. And it is VERY difficult to master. Mainly Grandmaster Monks can do it.
Ki is the life force of your body. Unlike magic, it only comes from within. Hope this helps.

Well the Hadouken is channeling the force of a punch and releasing it from your palm. So it's essentially punching somebody from a distance. So what you described is pretty much the same thing. But invisible.

So how is it controlled? Force of will? Proper Breath technique? Flexing?
Does the ki take on different properties depending on who it's wielded by? Like if a Death Knight had access to ki, would it feel different from a pious monk?
Can you make the ki take on different properties? Like how Ryu has the Fire Hadouken and Lightning Hadouken along with his normal variant. Or how Jackie Chun defeated Yamcha with a blast of frigid air.
There may be no aura, but can ki be felt even by non-users when it's being stongly utilized?

Flexing does nothing. Proper breathing, your state of mind, your training, and your belief (as in, in order to use ki, you need to have confidence in yourself. There is no try. Only do.), and your force of will, is what people use to manipulate ki.

Everyone has ki in their body, and everyone uses it regardless if they know it or not. However, those that can manipulate and master it are what make Monks. And yes, a DeathKnight's ki would be very dark indeed. Mainly experienced ki users can sense someone else's aggression or peace of mind from their ki. 'Good' and 'Evil is much harder to decipher, but it's possible.

New ki techniques are being developed but, no. None yet.

Subtly, yes. But you'd need to be extremely powerful and well trained to have some peasant girl/boy feel it.

The flexing part was a joke. With the Death Knight thing, I mean like if they had received monk training and could use ki as a monk does. You still answered the question, I just wanted to clarify.

So currently ki is mostly used for pushing your body to the limits. Make your skin hard as iron. Have your bare hand cut like a sharpened blades. See like and eagle and smell like a hound. Am I correct?

Oh yeah, ki can also be channeled through things?

No, you can't imbue a weapon with ki because it is not living. Perhaps you can have a friendly mage invent a spell for that, but you can't do it yourself.
It makes your skin tougher, your hands like weapons, and you can use your senses to their potential...potentially. Generally it takes a great deal of training to do that. Most often, a ki user merely senses an adversary's ki than sees him in the distance (although that of course, still takes discipline.)

*Annie Raises Hand* Pick me! Anyways, Speaking of inventing spells, would Annie be able to do that?

Inventing that particular spell? She doesn't have the know how just yet, but she might in the future. You can easily have her pursue that. But only the most intensely mystic weapons have lives of their own, so if you want a weapon with both life energy and sentience it will take a LOT of magical power and skill.

To Those posting in the Trident Joint thread, they'll need to post that they entered the cave, how they did it (probably half climb, half step down), and if they brought fire.
