Torek watched with curiosity. He didn't understand this science too much, but it seemed like magic certainly. He had always wanted to use magic, but he never really thought he would be able to. But it seems science can be used by everyone.

Hanzo takes back the heat pad from Alyssa. He didn't think she seemed as enthusiastic about it as he was. But he just moves on.
"Of course, we'll be learning a bit of chemistry as we go on. But now, let's do another fun, pointless demonstration." He grabs the sealed flask with the previously boiling water and a small tub of ice water that was on the ground by the desk. He uses a clamp to hold the flask, upside-down over the icewater.
"Mind you, these are just small visual marvels of science. The stuff we shall be learning will be much more practical," he explains before moving on, "I just thought that at first, we should have something interesting to get you all intrigued. Now then," he takes the beaker from before and fills it with some of the ice water, "I will demonstrate how to make water boil... With ice."
He takes a few ice cubes from the water and puts them on top of the flask's bottom. After a second, small bubbles began to form in the water inside the flask. Hanzo looks about, knowing that such little action wasn't interesting. He then takes the beaker of ice water and pours the whole thing over the flask. As soon as the water hits the flask, the water inside the flask starts to bubble violently, as if at a rolling boil.
"This demonstrates how pressure can work. This is something else we'll be looking at. Even better, this 'boil' is not due to heat. To prove that..."
Hanzo takes the flask, flips it right side up, still violently bubbling, and quickly unseals it and takes a drink from it. A moment after he unseals it, the bubbling stops.
Hanzo lets out a refreshed sigh, obviously not burned by the water. "It actually cooled the water, despite making it 'boil'," he explains.

After letting that sink in for a moment, Hanzo decides to move on to the final, and most enjoyable in his opinion, experiment.
"For my final demonstration, I need a student to volunteer. One with a good arm and good aim," Hanzo says to the class.

Yuki took some more notes on the experiment that was happening, She was shocked on how ice cubs made water boil.

Isidor paid very close attention. All these things were important to keep in mind later. You never know when you need some of this information in a real life scenario. Suddenly, the teacher, Hanzo, asked for a volunteer with a good arm and aim. Isidor didn't think he was the best but he did have accurancy in his throwing arm.

After some time, with great interest, he says, "I'll do it. I'll volunteer. " Isidor rose his hand and stood up slowly. Walking toward the teacher, he didnt know what to expect. Was he to be made an "example"? Oh, god, he hoped not.

Isidor was the first one to raise his hand. Hanzo points to him and says, "Yes, you can do it. Come up to the front of the class"
He waits for Isidor to come up to the front. He then reaches under his desk and pulls out an odd thing. It is two meter sticks, taped together in a way to make a stick that is about 1.5 meters long. At the end of the stick is a lighter with a device on the part of it that keeps the flame lit. Hanzo presses on the lighter, causing it to light. The device on it makes the flame stay lit without having to keep pressing. He hands the entire thing to Isidor.
"Now then, you will be using this. Hold it from low on the stick to keep the fire away from your body. We don't want you to burn yourself," Hanzo says with a friendly smile.
He then goes over to a strange nozzle sitting on his desk. He puts a plastic tube onto the end of the nozzle. He pulls out a bottle of bubble blowing solution and dips the other end of the tube into it. He holds the soapy side of the tube towards Isidor and says, "Now then, you just need to touch the flame to the bubble when it is floating up. This will show what humans call 'combustion'."
After giving Isidor a moment to understand what he's supposed to do, Hanzo turns the knob on the nozzle slowly. A gas is released from the nozzle and flows through the tube. It causes a bubble to start to form on the tubes end. Hanzo turns off the gas when the bubble is big enough and, with a little shake of the hose, releases it. The bubble starts to float up to the ceiling at a surprisingly fast rate.

Oh great, now it's gonna explode into a ball of fire...
Is everyone really that stupid around here or is the teacher just playing around...
I honestly don't get this school... I hope it does what it promisses and teaches me how to deal with humans, not learn their ways...

Vergil was getting bored by the whole class.
He was an extremly inteligent man, and so far, he had learned nothing he didn't know beforehand. If there was anything Vergil knew about humans was their ways and personalities. He had experience in such things... Besides, he was half human himself.

Isidor was handed the taped together meter sticks and held it carefully. When it was light, it didn't seem to phase him so much. For some reason, it felt familiar and very comfortable. Now for the interesting part. He listened carefully to Hanzo and looked at the process of the tube being connected.

"Now then, you just need to touch the flame to the bubble when it is floating up. This will show what humans call 'combustion'."
He said as the tube was held toward Isidor. What was going to happen? How big was the bubble going to expose itself?

He got the answer when the bubble came out and began to rise to the cieling. "Whoa! Whoa!" He was a bit startled by how fast it rose but he focused as it rose. "Okay! I can do this!" Isidor steadies his hands and tries to aim the flame toward the bubble before it escaped him. Whether or not he connected remained to be seen.

Despite his best effort, Isidors moment of surprise lets the bubble go too far. It hits the ceiling and pops. Hanzo looks up at it and says, "Don't worry, we can try it again. You'll be ready for it this time."
He dips the tube in the solution again and creates another bubble the same way as the first. This bubble comes out quite a bit bigger than the last. Hanzo had forgotten about one thing though, the gas from the previous bubble wasn't gone...

Yuki saw Isidor volunteer, she also saw his was starting to get shakey. "Just calm down Isidor, your not going to get hurt, steady your hand." YUki said camly hoping it would work.

"Right." He nods and focuses his sights on the tube where the bubble was going to come out.

Isidor was NOT going to let this bubble escape. His hand steadied, as Yuki advised and Isidor knew, he aimed the flame at the bubble. It was bigger than before, so maybe he wouldn't miss. Why did he have bad feeling in his stomach, though?

Any moment now... Kaboom
Vergil was already expecting it, and so, he certantly wouldn't be surprised of even flinch...
Perhaps, even if he wasn't expecting it, he wouldn't flinch, after all, he's as cool as someone can be.
Maybe it's not that bad... Maybe it'll knock some sense into this bunch of fools

The fire collides with the bubble. The bubble pops, erupting into a ball of fire. Hanzo smiles and nods at the fireball in the air. But right afterwards, a lick of the fire hits the ceiling before disappearing. This causes the methane from the previous bubble to light, causing fire to erupt along the ceiling, reaching over some of the closer student's heads.
"Whoops..." Hanzo says, "I forgot about the other bubble's gas... At least it was only one bubble. One year, it reached all the way to the other end of the room. Oh well, you did good young man. That was certainly combustion of methane gas. You can sit down now."
Hanzo takes the meter stick device away from Isidor, putting out the lighter and sitting it on the desk. "That is all I'll show you today. Tomorrow, we will start on some more practical things. I hope that this has gotten you a bit more interested in the human science. You are dismissed when the bell rings."

And not a fuck was given
Rebbie watched the whole class with her elbow on the table. She rested her head on her hand and with her other hand she took notes. She underlined the part about keeping track of the methane gas when using it. "Will catch on fire.... And shower those below it...." She whispered out loud while writing. She had no plans on using methane gas in the future anyways.

She closed her notepad and exhaled. The class was shorter than the last one, but still fun. She stretched slightly and wondered which class was next.

"Ack" Allysa yelled out as the fire erupted. She dove down onto the floor to cover chuck with her body. She stayed in that position for a bit until she realized it was safe. She then regained her composure and returned to her seat. "I don't think I much like this human science" she said.

Yes, yes, methane gas, fire, etcetera etcetera.
He sighed. At least this class was about to end. He had his hopes up about science, that they'd actually teach, you know, science, but it was just simple experiments, fit for a class of second graders.
