![]() This base was hidden in the cliff side off the outskirts of the main city. Surrounding it was jamming signals that would protect the occupant from any detection. Inside was everything that someone needed to keep in track of someone. Had a computer room, kitchen, one bed room, one bathroom and of course, a shooting range. That's normal right? It wasn't meant to impress, it was meant to be used to check the happenings of the world while keeping the occupant safe from being seen or found. All it needed for bats and you could call this the bat cave. |

Gabriel walked into the computer lab of his hidden base - though to him it was more like home, if he wasn't here then he was off in 'The Rock Solid Platypus' melting faces and destroying bases - wearing nothing but a pair of jeans and cowboy boots. He was covered in grease and rotary fluid, glistening with his own sweat, which oddly enough wasn't that unattractive - for a man in his late thirties, he still had the body of a 25 year old soldier. His feet carried him over to the large glass desk against the far wall, outfitted with three computers all displaying different information - but just before sitting down in the comfy leather office chair, he pulled a small white towel from his back pocket and gave himself a quick wipe down as to not get any oil on any of the furniture... His fingers began to dance across the keyboard, pulling up command prompts - and before too long he had hacked back into the UNF data system. "Let's see what the boys are up to today," he muttered to himself, kicking back and relaxing a little. As if by some magic one of the computer screens light up brighter than the rest, becoming almost surreal in it's display as it activated it's interactive hover touch display... |

What Gabriel found was something rather intriguing. It seemed to be a report on a reason attack in Speria City of all places. It noted how the Ordo Sanctus came in from out-of-area regions and swooped in, attacking the city. Damages estimated is unknown, causalities ranged within 306, and to top it all off experimental tech was taken. This was all bad news. There was also reports, prior of an attack on a Research Facility in Priscus. It must be linked to the attack in Speria. The Ordo Sanctus had upped their game a whole bunch. |

Gabriel nodded in acknowledgment to the news reports he was reading, more so to himself than for any real purpose. If the OS had upped there game he was sure the UNF would follow - and in the same step, more destruction, and more unnecessary death. Still his fingers continued down the page, rolling the page down to the damage and causality estimates - and as his eyes scanned each line he could feel his very blood boiling... 306... And how many of them were just civilians caught off-guard?... |

Suddenly, an email confirmation pops up on screen. "You've got Mail!" In a traditional Ancient tone that has long since been etched into the epitomes of time. "Hello, I have come to you in a form of a confession. I have been working with Cave Robbers for the past few weeks. You can arrest me later but there is something more important! M-my boss is about to do something horrible! She told me to send out a contract with a mercenary to destroy a town! I can't do this anymore! I have family there! Please, you have to save the town! I took some money from my boss and forwarded to you. If you stop him, I 'll try and give you more ... if I'm not dead by then. Thank you ..." The email ends a.) A job's a job b.) seems like too much trouble |

[pushes chips all in - Totes A] Gabriel nearly jumped back in his seat as the email message popped up - the damn message tone scarring the ever living daylights out of him, but at the same time snapping him out of his blind anger. Sure the message was a little shady, and even mentioned the fact that said sender was a known criminal - a destroyer of lives, but one thing was for sure, Gabriel believed in second chances... As he finished reading the email, he gave a slight grunt or maybe even a sigh - it was hard to tell really, he was both interested and disappointed at the same time; but as they said, a job's a job, and this one saved lives... at least he hoped... His fingers danced across the key-screen, typing up a quick reply just before he got up and strode out into his garage - it was time to suit up, and hopefully fix one wrong thing in this world... |

The reply was away and his loyal partner in crime was waiting for him to launch. Everything checked out. All systems green. Fuel completely refilled. Destination was already being located on screen. It would take about 30 minutes to get their tops. |

Upon reaching the base, it was the dead of night. The door was wide open and broken down, along with wires everywhere. It seemed that someone had attempted to steal something from the base. Whoever it was, had to have known Gabriel was here. Valkinai trail marks on the ground, leading toward an old ruin. |

Conner rolled up to the hidden base in a long bed Jeep that had plenty of storage space. Gabriel was riding shotgun, while three unnamed red shirt mooks were cramped in a two-person back seat. Conner slowed to a halt at the sign of tracks, raising his eyebrow. Once they came to a complete stop, he hopped out for a look and was not happy when he came back. "Looks like someone already fuckin' knew you were here! They have a valkinai and everything! Looks like only one track though, so we can kick their ass so hard they'll be shittin' out their mouth. Let's go." |

Just as the dust tossed up from the tires of the jeep was beginning to settle shit seemed to already hit the fan - and Conner put it oh so eloquently... But that was neither here nor there, his point was all too valid, as the realization that someone had discovered Gabriel's hideout sank in. Oddly enough the unexpected teaming up between them seemed to have saved his hide in more way than one... "I fucking hate unannounced guests..." Gabriel muttered as he hoped out of the jeep and loaded his Desgar-22 Lisbin Auto-rifle. His finger flipped the nub switching it into semi-auto and he carefully shouldered the gun staring right down sight... He didn't give notice to the three 'nameless red shirt mooks' or what they might be doing, but instead his peripherals locked onto Conner, following only a few steps behind him... |

Conner traced over a bit of the track with his fingers and stood back up. He glanced at the Jeep and snapped at his minions within, all of whom came tumbling out. "Salvage whatever you can from in there, leave it out here. The new guy and me are gonna tear out some throats for fucking with my new equipment." He waved Gabriel on as he jumped back into the truck and started it up again. He waited, though quite impatiently, for the man to get back in before heading off, following the trail. "Nice boomstick. We do this shit right, we can get that other suit. Maybe strip it for parts and weapons, enhance our suits. Maybe get your Platypus out of the stone age too. Keep a sharp eye, I assume you can spot well if you've got a rifle." |

Gabriel tried not to pay much mind to Conner's remarks, he was already getting use to the man's general demeanor, but still, it did rub him in just such a way. Quickly he tumbled back into the jeep, although this time opting to ride in the bed of the vehicle. "As long as you don't drive us off a cliff I think I should be fine back here, at least this way I can spot a bit better than out of a little passenger window - and never you mind my aiming, we're ganna have our hands full trying to take a Valk down from on foot..." And with a quick hop and a slap of the hood, Gabriel gave his go ahead. |

Conner showed up with the Mega Suit, now nearly fully repaired. Excellent. Conner was here for one reason: The stuff his people were supposed to be salvaging. If they found some more stuff, good for them. He'd pack it all onto the Mega Suit and they'd be off happy. Well, happier. If they didn't find anything, Conner would just turn around and leave. Yup, it'd be up to them to find their way back. Or go someplace else, Hell, he didn't give a fuck. |

"S-sir! You're back!" One the men exclaimed as they saw the Mega Suit. "We actually found some useful stuff, sir!" He scurried over to a set of boxes. Inside was stashes of money, that would be useful indeed. To the other side he went and picked up a few papers. Upon closer inspection these were blueprints for Valkinai ideas and add-ons. Finally, something rather important looking. It was communicator with a message light blinking. It couldn't be turned on because it belonged to Gabriel. Means someone either had a mission for him or something is up. This should probably be delivered right away. |

"Oh, nice!" Conner called through the Suit's loudspeakers, before giving them the order to load it all into the Mega Suit's cargo area, in the lower back. Like Hell he was going to help with that peon work. Once it was loaded, he had them ride in the cargo and took off. |
