I've decided we needed some superhero/villain action, and it's one of my favorite genres. Too many WPs right now, so here's a questline for anybody who wants to have some super fun! Fill out the following template, post it here, and I'll get a thread up. If you want to quest with a friend, get together and let me know in your posts. You can play as your own original characters, or an established character from any comic series.
- Code:
-
[I]Name:[/I] their real name. [I]Alias:[/I] Their hero/villain name. [I]Nicknames:[/I] Any nicknames they have, in or out of costume. [I]Appearance:[/I] What they look like. [I]Apparel:[/I] What do they wear? Both in costume and out. [I]Background:[/I] Just put up to their basic origins, no need for 50 years of continuity. [I]Personality:[/I] Try to be thorough. [I]Abilities:[/I] Any mundane/humanly possible skill they have. Intellect, martial arts, etc., but no powers. [I]Powers:[/I] Anything extraordinary they can do. [I]Equipment:[/I] Any items they mayhave at their disposal. [I]Origin:[/I] DC, Marvel, original, other? (So I know where to research if I'm unfamiliar with the character).

I bet you fellas missed this guy.
Spoiler: click to toggle Name: Neil Bentley Alias: Firestorm Nicknames: Fire, storm, Pretty boy, nutjob, crazy. Appearance: Dark black hair with a charming face and smile. He has a pair of goggles handy at all times in case he causes too many fires or explosions. They also serve as a good mask in themselves if he sees fit to hide himself. Neil is fit with little fat on his body, but not noticeably muscular or athletic. He looks pretty much average other than the twinkle in his eye. Spoiler: click to toggle Apparel: Red T-Shirt, Baggie pants, marel outdoor shoes. Background: He was born into a poor family, and he eventually deduced that they could not support him staying with them. He left then, promising to find a way in the big city to make a living, despite being 15 at the time. Normal parents would not have let him leave, but his parents knew him. They knew how he was wise beyond his years, and they knew his physical capabilites. He found a job at a local dojo, sweeping up shop. The master and owner was a Mr. Gunashi. He himself knew what it was like to fend for his own, for he came to America with his dog Humphrey and a bag full of dreams. He trained Neil in Aikido. Mr. Gunashi died 2 years ago, and he left his dojo, and Humphrey the basset hound, to Neil. Personality: Neil is a guy who acts on how he feels. He has his own agenda, and he is unlikely to stray from it. He is sly and smooth, and a born troublemaker. He teases people. Alot. The quintessential lovable rogue, he acts like everything is under control, because it usually is. Its very hard for him to get angry, and not many people have ever really seen him angry. Deep down he is nice, but on the outside, he seems pretty selfish. He is a very large flirt. Abilities: Very perceptive with great intuition. Knows Aikido and free running. Powers: Fire manipulation, Enhanced Dexterity, and Enhanced Reflexes. His dexterity and reflexes are 3x that of a normal human. Equipment: Lighter, necklace, sunglasses, toothpick, 9mm pistol. Origin: Original
He's definitely an anti hero. So, he is heroic more than villanous, but he makes people wonder at times.

Awesome. Need to pick a character and make the template when on a computer. Almost called Batman, but it's quite the challenge to RP him. Eh, maybe I'll do it for the challenge.

Awesome. Need to pick a character and make the template when on a computer. Almost called Batman, but it's quite the challenge to RP him. Eh, maybe I'll do it for the challenge. I just have one request if you try Batman, and I'm completely serious when I say this. Under "Abilities" put "nothing." Under "Powers" put "Being Batman."
So Ben, your guy is pretty much approved (though I would like some more detail in appearance, personality, and for you to explain what sort of limitations (if any) he has on his powers). The only thing I need to know at this point is if you would call him more heroic or more villainous, as I can see it going either way at this point in time.

Batman Name: Bruce Wayne Alias: Batman Nicknames: Caped Crusader, Dark Knight, World's Greatest Detective, Matches Malone Appearance: Black Hair that is cut short, Blue Eyes, 6'2, 210 pounds.* His body is another tool to fight crime, and he keeps it sharp. He has a muscular body that he worked into peak physical condition. It is agile, fast, and strong; perfect for what he needs to do, whether it's fighting, climbing buildings, or dodging gunfire. While he has such large body, he isn't clumsy with it, and more often uses it for to sneak around and work in the dark. The parts that probably stand out the most are his jaw and his wide chest area. Scattered around his body, although centered around his back, are the scars of battle. Each one holds a different memory, and showcase his dedication. Apparel: Out of costume: Expensive suits, shoes, ties, and similar attire In costume: It is a multipurpose suit of armor with many components. It's overall design is meant to strike fear, but each individual part has a purpose. The head is a dark blue mask that loops from the back over the head to the nose. It has white retractable lenses over the eyes, and pointed ears. It stores a comlink in the ear. There is a dark blue cape that comes from the neck of the mask. It has many points on the bottom and is used for many purposes. It hardens upon a slight electric touch, meaning he can use it for unexpected attacks on opponents and glide with it. It also is meant to distract enemy gunmen. They might mistake the large mass as his body and harmlessly fire at it. His chest and arms have grey armor with a symbol of a bat.** The symbol is also meant to draw fire. His is head is fairly unprotected, but someone going for a quick shot is drawn to the armored chest instead of the head. The lower arms and hands have dark blue gauntlets. There stores many tricks. The sides have three sharp retractable fins that he can use for purposes other than fighting. He isn't out to maim anyone so he partially retracts them for combat. There is also a mini computer linked to the bat-computer in one gauntlet. The knuckles are metal to increase punching power. Also, knock out gas can shoot from the wrist. Going down, there is a yellow utility belt housing many gadgets. It also has a homing beacon for his vehicles. A black underwear type look is then followed by grey legs and then his boots that come up to the knee. The boots are hard for defense and increase damage when kicking. In the heels are a lock pick and knife for when/if he is captured. The overall suit also sports insulation and resistance against mild heat, cold, and electricity. Finally, the mask sports an electric shock that will stop anyone from unmasking him when he is unconscious. Background: 8 year old Bruce Wayne had a great childhood, being the son of the great Thomas and Martha Wayne. However, after watching a Zorro movie at the Monarch Theater, Thomas and Martha were gunned down at the hands of Joe Chill during a random street crime. Young Bruce vowed to devote his life to fighting crime. He left Gotham and for 12 years trained every aspect of his body and mind until he returned to Gotham. He soon realized he needed more than power and needed to strike fear into the superstitious and cowardly lot; he took the persona of a Bat. Meanwhile, his company, Wayne Enterprises had great success, which gave him plenty of funds to invent an armory of gadgets and vehicles in his war on crime. At first he worked alone (Excluding the help of his loving butler, Alfred Pennyworth), fighting gangs and cops that went after him. But once Jim Gordon (Who had helped Bruce out after his parents death) became commissioner, he had a fairly friendly working relation with the police. Together they took down gangs of Gotham. Many so called super-villains made their appearance around this time. Barbara Gordon, daughter of Jim Gordon, was inspired by Batman and her father. She became Batgirl and worked with Batman. This wasn't a complete partnership at first, but slowly Batman accepted her. Some time later, he witnessed the murder of the Flying Graysons and took young Dick into his home. Dick soon found out about Bruce's alter ego, and convinced them to have him becomes Robin the Boy Wonder. Over time though, the two parted ways and Robin went out to become Nightwing. Missing a partner, Batman made a poor choice and chose a poor kid, Jason Todd, to be the new Robin. Shortly after, Joker (Batman's greatest enemy, and someone he feels personally responsible for making) took the life of this kid, and later paralyzed Barbara Gordon. Batman blamed himself for these events and continued to work alone. Eventually, Tim Drake worked out who Batman and Nightwing are, then approached the former Dynamic Duo. He insisted Batman needed a Robin with him, and he managed to convince them to make him the third Robin. Also, Barbara had found a new role as Oracle, and stands as one of Batman's lead information experts. During this time, he also became a founding member of the Justice League of America (Although only a part-timer). Personality:"People think it's an obsession. A compulsion. As if there were an irresistible impulse to act. It's never been like that. I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." "...can't have a back door, Alfred. Might be tempted to use it." "For supposedly being such a loner, you carry a lot of ties" Batman is calm, serious, dedicated, and almost fearless. He is a very disciplined and intellectual man who is a great leader despite preferring to work alone. At first it was mostly due to thinking he had to work alone, but over time it became the fact that he doesn't want to risk lives. His one fear (Though some may argue against it) is that he will lose another loved one. This can also contribute to the fact that it is very hard for him to fully trust someone, and he may come off as cold until then. He also has a habit of taking any failure as personally his fault. For example, he believes Jason's death is his fault. He also even holds some sympathy for his enemies, for example he understands Freeze is only trying to help his wife, and there are henchmen who only need a steady job to support a family. He will never use a gun and holds a no-kill policy. Abilities: Nothing Powers: Being Batman Equipment: Batarangs (Variations exist), Grapnel Gun/Batclaw, Sharp fins on gauntlets, Mini computer in Gauntlet (linked to Bat-Computer in Cave), Non-lethal explosive gel, Line Launcher, Smoke Pellets, Cape that hardens on a special electric touch from gloves, lock pick, detective vision (Retractable Lens on mask), remote gun jammer (Only works twice every hour), cryptographic sequencer, comlink, vehicles, computers. Origin: Detective Comics * **

You get the feeling that you wrote to much? Then I'm afraid we have very different standards here. Batman is the most popular superhero to date, is extremely rich and detailed, and comes from a colorful setting. When it comes to really important characters like Batman or Spiderman and the like, I need a thorough profile as a means to show you have a thorough understanding of the character. A single sentence appearance that is rather vague does not represent this, nor does a personality with choppy wording.
I'm not saying no, Trent, but it does need much more detail if you want to play Batman.

I just meant because he's such a popular character, it seemed like describing him in a lot of detail was overkill. However, now that I see you want more, I will work on it. Edit:Did pretty much as all I can for attire. Will now add to backstory. I personally suck at personalities, so I'll save that for last Edit2: Backstory is done. Going up to where Tim becomes Robin. No Damian.
Okay. I think I'm done. If they're something lacking, just tell me and I'll add more.

I actually wanted to play a character myself, so if anybody is willing to mod for me as Terry McGinnis, a.k.a. the future Batman, a.k.a. The Tomorrow Knight, make your claim now.
Spoiler: click to toggle Name: Terrence McGinnis Alias: Batman Nicknames: Terry, Batman Beyond, The Tomorrow Knight Appearance: Terry is a young man of fairly average height, standing at five feet ten inches, and made of lean muscle, coming out at 170 pounds. Though strong and very acrobatic, he isn't bulging and retains a somewhat slim figure. He is of Caucasian descent, with very light skin, and round facial features, while he maintains a set of broad shoulders. Terry's nose is short and sharp, and his brow ridge curls back greatly. His jet black hair, an inheritance from Bruce Wayne, is kept at a short medium length, curling to an end just above his eyes, which are blue. Apparel: Terry's civilian clothes are a bit different from his teenage peer's. For pants he sports a set of gray-blue jeans that went out of style forever ago, and a white or black tank top or short sleeve shirt. He is rarely seen without his brown coat. The new batsuit is streamlined and is almost completely black. The ears point upward a good few inches, while the mask is designed to express the same emotion the wearing is emitting beneath it. On the chest is a large, red bat, the symbol of Batman, while a black and gray belt wraps around his waist. Background: The story of Terry McGinnis begins long before him, and even his parents. To understand Terry, we must go back to the glory days of the Justice League and the original Batman, Bruce Wayne. Bruce was a paragon for all normal humans, an inspiration for justice, and a curse against evil wherever it lie, despite not having any of the special advantages his colleagues of the JL had. He was considered so great, so important, that the world simply could not go on without a Batman. To this end, a woman named Amanda Waller formerly in charge of Project Cadmus got to work on a new dark knight. Project Batman Beyond began with gaining a sample of Bruce Wayne's DNA, not a difficult feat in his failing age, and copying his reproductive data onto nanites. These micro-machines were injected into the body of Warren McGinnis where they went to work completely altering his reproductive material, replacing them with that of Bruce Wayne's. Warren and his wife Mary, who had been found to be a psychological match for Thomas and Martha Wayne, soon bore their first son, Terrence. Fast forward years later, and we have a young teenage Terry McGinnis. He's intelligent, but not amazingly so. He's strong, but not a muscle man. He's quick and agile, always on the run from the police for his petty crimes. He's tough, hardened by the gangs he's run with. There was something missing though: A direction. Bruce Wayne had been set upon the path of Batman the moment his parents were murdered before his very eyes, but Waller decided to honor the legacy of Batman by not having Terry's parents killed. Instead, they had been divorced, and Terry didn't know what to do with his frustrations. He took to the streets, had some fights, and followed his friend Charlie into trouble. Trouble that eventually landed him in juvenile hall. Terry only served three months, but that time really got to him. He became worried that he didn't have enough good in him, that he was still some angry punk, and he desperately wanted to make up for past sins. A few years later and Terry's worst nightmare would come true. After an argument he had had with his father, he stormed out. It was the last time they ever saw one another. Terry had a brief fight with a gang of Jokerz, street thugs named and styled after Gotham's most infamous criminal, when he wandered onto Wayne Manor property. Terry helped an elderly Bruce back into his home, and once there, stumbled upon the batcave. Enraged, Bruce threw Terry out, who went back home to find his father's murder scene. It didn't take Terry long to come to a decision. The young immediately went back to Wayne Manor, struggling for a chance to talk to Bruce again, finally winning the cold man's audience. While Bruce could empathize with Terry's situation, he was stubborn and insistent that he could no longer be Batman. Terry took his chance and stole the batsuit, heading out to avenge his father himself. In a cutting edge batsuit, McGinnis quickly found that he was more than a match for the thugs he fought off. During the encounter, Bruce switched off the suit's power remotely, but Terry was able to convince the old man to give him a chance to prove himself. In the end, Warren McGinnis's murder was avenged and Bruce came to accept Terry as an heir. Personality: Terry is a very complicated young man. He is emotional, but can also think rationally and be quite the intellectual. He can be quick to anger if you know the right buttons to push, which can be quite detrimental to your health. However, he knows about his own bad tendencies, and his strive to do better, to be better, is what led to him continuing the legacy of Batman. Usually, Terry is quite friendly. He loves conversation, is quick to make jokes (usually of the snarky variety), and is genuinely interested in the well-being of others. He dislikes bullies, both because they take advantage of others and because they remind him of his own past, and is quick to jump in and take care of them. Abilities: - Physically strong, able to press lift 170 pounds.
- Athletic, able to run, sprint, and dash quickly without tiring.
- Agile, is able to perform minor flips and swings.
- Master street fighter, though he lacks the discipline of more rigid martial arts.
Powers: N/A Equipment: The new high-tech batsuit, with multiple features including: - Mechanically enhanced strength by a factor of 10
- Increased flexibility
- Retractable lens allowing for aid in sight, picking up clues, and recording
- Personal communicator

For reasons already discussed I'm still a bit hesitant about this, but... I'm kinda in a slump and need something to do here so I guess I'll give it a try. Can't end up that badly I suppose. Anyways, copy/pasta the old profile for spidey from EH. I'm pretty sure it fits all the criteria needed, though I can edit it if need be.
Spoiler: click to toggle Basics Name: Peter Parker Alias: Spider-Man Nicknames: Spidey, Web-Head, Wallcrawler Age: 15 Gender: Male Canon/Original: Canon Alignment: Hero Portrait: Appearance: Peter stands at about 5'10" in height. He has a thin, lithe figure, though his muscles are easily hidden under his shirt. He has hazel eyes and brown hair which is kept relatively short. More into ThemSkills: Science Nerd - Peter Parker is an extremely intelligent individual. He has exceptional skill and a great interest in science. Inventor - Peter has some skill as an inventer, creating his own web-shooters. Photographer - Peter works as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, and as such has some skill at photography. Sewing - Peter created his own costume and makes all the repairs to it, requiring some skill at sewing. Powers: Powers Spider-Sense: A sixth sense of sorts that alerts spider-man to danger. It manifests itself as a tingling sensation in the back of his skull. He cannot discern the nature of the threat by the sensation, but he can discern the severity of the dangere and in what direction it is in. Combined with his enhanced reflexes Spider-Man can casually dodge attacks up to and including automatic-weapons fire, provided there is sufficient distance. His spider-sense is sufficiently well-linked to his reflexes to the point that a threat can trigger them even when Spider-Man is asleep or stunned. His spider-sense also helps him preserve his secret identity since it alerts him to observers or cameras when changing into or out of his costume. The spider-sense doesn't react to those who Peter does not consider to be a threat, such as Aunt May. Spider-Man can choose to ignore his spider-sense, and distraction or fatigue diminish its effectiveness.Even whithout the use of his eyes Spider-Man can still use his Spider Sense to help him see by sensing the direction the danger is coming from.
Wall-Crawling - Spiderman has the ability to cling to other objects such as walls and cielings and walk (or more often crawl) on them.
Superhuman Strength - Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength enabling him to press lift approximately 10 tons. Spider-Man's physical strength is sufficient to lift and throw objects as heavy such as a semi truck with ease.Spider-Man's physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound.
Superhuman Speed- Superhuman Speed: Spider-Man is capable of running and moving at speeds that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. He is capable of catching up to an accelerating car while on foot, though he prefers traveling via web-slinging.
Superhuman Stamina - Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for several hours before fatigue begins to impair him.
Superhuman Durability - pider-Man's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. He can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an opponent with super strength, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort.
Superhuman Agility - pider-Man's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Spider-Man is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats.
Superhuman Equilibrium - Spider-Man possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.
Superhuman Reflexes - Spider-Man has enhanced reflexes, about 40 times greater than the average human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack
Regenerative Healing Factor - Spider-man has a limited healing factor. It is not great enough to factor into a single fight, but it does allow him to recover from most injuries such as broken bones within hours.
History: When Peter Parker was only six, both of his parents died in an airplane crash overseas. With both his parents gone, Peter went to live with his aunt May and uncle Ben. They raised him with love and care, treating him like their own son. So Peter grew up with his aunt and uncle and then attended Midtown High School. He was doing well there, becoming a high honors student; Ben and May were so proud of him. Then came the day that would forever change young Peter. It was during a class feild trip. They were watching a science demonstration on radioactivity. During the demonstration they where shown a particle accelerator that was being used in the process, but unbenknownst to the rest of them a spider was caught in the accelerator's beam. The spider then bit Peter as he was watching the demonstration. Naturally he shrugged it off, thinking of it only as a simple spider bite. It wasn't until on his way home when he jumped about thirty feet onto a wall to dodge a speeding car that he realized something was different. He found that he had gained super-human abilities such as super-strenght, speed, reflexes, and the ability to cling to walls. It took no large leap in logic to realize that the spider bite was the cause for his newfound abilities. In order to test his new powers, Peter decided to enter a challenge to enter a ring for three minutes with a professional wrestler. Donning a mask to hide who he was in case of embarassment, Peter enterered the challenge and easily won. A tv producer, impressed by Peter's performance, offered him a segment on tv which Peter accepted. So Peter created costume and his web-shooters, Peter made his debut tv appearance as "The Amazing Spider-Man." After the show he encountered a man being chased by a security guard. Although he could have easily stopped the man, he didn't. After all, it wasn't his job to stop criminals; he was just a performer. Peter quickly forgot about the incident. Then one night Peter returned home to find his dear uncle Ben dead, murdered by a burglar. Learning that the police had found the burglar holed up in a warehouse, Peter went into action. Peter went to the warehouse and easily captured the burglar; however, he was shocked to find out that it was the same criminal he had let pass him only days earlier. He was stricken with grief, knowing that if he had only stopped that criminal before his uncle would still be alive. So with his uncle's words, "With great power, there must also come great responsibility," Peter decided to use his abilities to help people and became the superhero he is today. PersonalityLikes: Science, web-swinging through New York, witty banter Dislikes: letting people down, the weight of responsibility, having to keep his two lives seperate Fears: Losing those he cares for Habits: Engages in quips and witty banter while fighting villains General Personality: Peter Parker could well be described as a nerd. He loves science and exceeds in nearly every academic aspect. He is also rather shy and quiet at times. These things have led Peter to be a bit of a social outcast with his peers. However, when he dons his constume he changes greatly. Perhaps it has to do with the anonymity of wearing a costume, but he tends to be more outgoing as Spider-Man. He also becomes quite the smartass, often infuriating badguys with his witty remarks. For better or worst, Peter tends to heap a lot of responsibility onto himself. Whether it's helping his aunt May by getting a job or trying to save every innocent person he can as Spider-Man. He certainly lives up to the words of his uncle Ben, though sometimes he puts too much on himself causing himself a lot of stress. At times he can be his own worst enemy, plaguing himself with feelings of grief or doubt. At the end of the day, it's the thought of those he cares about most that keeps him going. AccessoriesClothes and Apparel: The spider-man costume consists most of the colors red and blue. His head, chest, upper half of his arms, entire forearms, hands, lower legs, and feet are all covered in red with black web-like patterns. He also wears a red, black web adorned belt and there is a red spider symbol on his back. The rest of his costume is plain blue. There is also a black spider symbol on his chest. The eyes of his costume are white (which he can of course see through) and surrounded by black. There isn't anything really special about Peter's normal attire. He tends to wears jeans or Khaki pants and a t-shirt. Inventory: Web Shooters - A device of Peter's own creation, these devices are worn on his wrists underneath his clothes. Their function is to shoot out web fluid at high pressure. Web Fluid - A fluid created by Peter. On contact with air it creates a tough, flexible, adhesive fiber. These webs are capable of holding about 120 pounds of weight. These webs dissolve after about an hour in contact with air. Peter carries several containers of web fluid in his belt. Camera - As a freelance photographer for the Daily Bugle, Peter always carries a camera with him to capture himself in action.

Eh, I'm bored and I have nothing better to do.
WIP Name: Folka Albark Alias: Ialbodaboath Nicknames: Since that first thing is way too hard to pronounce or write everyone calls him in-costume the Crimson Shura. Appearance: Folka is relatively tall at around 6'2", with a lean build. He looks a bit willowy in fact, like it'd be easy to knock him away if you hit hard enough. Heh. Folka has large, bright green eyes that burn fiercely. Topping it off, Folka has bright, nearly blood red hair that slightly resembles fire if you squint and tilt your head properly. Apparel: Folka has no costume. Yet. Instead he just wears his normal clothes. He wears too many belts. TOO MANY, I think there are six total. That's x6 the amount of belts people usually wear at most (outside of cosplay). Other than the belt overdosing, Folka wears tight fitting black pants that tuck into white boots that go up to knee height, with 6 straps total with a green oval buckle at the end of each. For a shirt, Folka wears a sleeveless black undershirt looking thing that'd be perfect for workouts, over that is this white... thing with a green inside and a large collar that goes up to about eve level. On his forearms Folka wears bronze arm guards with black studs on them. Here's a pic: Spoiler: click to toggle Background: Just put up to their basic origins, no need for 50 years of continuity. Personality: Try to be thorough. Abilities: Any mundane/humanly possible skill they have. Intellect, martial arts, etc., but no powers. Powers: Anything extraordinary they can do. Equipment: Do fists count as an item? Origin: DC, Marvel, original, other? (So I know where to research if I'm unfamiliar with the character).
