What's wrong with Hufflepuff? They are hardworking, good people who care more for the people they know and love than power and glory. They're probably my second favourite house after Ravenclaw.

I seem to like potions quite a lot, I'm still trying to figure out which is the best but so far the sleeping draught appears to be the cheapest.
Being put in Hufflepuff is like the Sorting Hat is saying, "Well damn! You aren't good at ANYTHING... but I guess you ARE nice."

Trying to convince yourself that Hufflepuff is a good house is like a 500 pound person trying to convince himself that he isn't that fat.

It's a darn sight better than Slytherin, I'd rather be called not particularly good at anything than inherently evil.

Potions are good once you get the hang of them. Sure the cauldron can be a pain in the arse and the wand is initially hard to find but I'm better at it than spell casting and that's all that matters to me.

How can you like the values of Hufflepuff more than Slytherin, and still be that prejudiced? Kindhearted my ass. You're housist! The most famous wizard of all time (Merlin) was in Slytherin! So sayeth J.K. Rowling.

Slytherin isn't inherently evil, it's simply the house of those who seek power. The distinction is that Evil people are oft motivated by lust for power, whereas there are plenty of Good people who can desire power for benevolent reasons.

I would say I like the values of Hufflepuff more than Slytherin. Kindness and equality over power and subterfuge. That's not to say the Slytherin values are inherently evil, though, and are important for certain matters. Unfortunately, those that value power and subterfuge do tend to be easily corrupted. Being brave or intelligent don't really lean toward good or evil themselves and are just in how those virtues are used. Hufflepuff, however, is the only one that implies inherent goodness or justice.

I wouldn't mind getting put into any house if I joined up. I see a lot of all of them in me.

DAMN. Stupid potions! Mistletoe berries are fucking annoying! The bottle just waves around and the berries fly everywhere. I ended up adding three instead of two, and ruined the potion. >_<

My issue with potions is how long it takes for an ingredient to be "added" I'll drop in a slug, and then start stirring only to find out that the 60 minutes I spent brewing were wasted because I "did things in the wrong order"

You can say Slytherin is evil if you want. But it's only that the greatest of wizards are of Slytherin house, and unfortunatly, that leads to even cruel wizards to be brought into the house.

Besides, they're still better than those selfish Ravenclaws.

I think there is more evidence of slytherin being selfish than ravenclaw. lytherin seems to have most of the negative traits asosciated with it, despite not being inherently bad.

Not at all, Slytherin House supports brotherhood and teamwork. That's why they nearly always win the house cup.

And the other houses don't?
Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor. They've all cheated at some point or another.
