Agnia drummed her hands on the table in a constant beat and her eyes bore into Sayomi's. Unlike Sayomi's indiscriminately insane stare that offered fear Agnia's was focused. It made exactly one person fear her at a time. It was clear that she wasn't terribly pleased with that remark. If there was one thing that could get you on the Mizukage's bad side it was a lack of respect.

"Just so you know, your latest plaything ended up as such for less than that so perhaps you should watch your words."

The muffled voice cried out in protest. Clearly it was also angry about the favouritism now as well as the grievous bodily harm and severe mental scarring.
Agnia brushed her hair back behind her ears but her eyes never broke contact. She paid the voice no mid whatsoever.

"Luckily for you I have already vented most of my "fun" upon my former receptionist already so the urge to kill you just isn't there at the moment. Is there anything else you'd like to bring up or are you ready to take your new toy and go. I finally have the rest of the afternoon off."

NO.
Well, the Mizukage surely had her panties in a twist, but Sayomi dared not say so. She respected Agnia, but ever since she had become Hokage, she'd been much more stern and much less fun. Sayomi dared not to cross her, not out of fear but simply because she actually liked her somewhat. More than anyone else, that was for sure.

"Consider them watched." she replied, although she did not sound fearful at all, simply because she wasn't. A fight between her and Agnia would be interesting, she could picture either one of them winning. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that. And she was quite sure Agnia would not kill her, she was quite a strong shinobi, one of the most powerful in the village and she knew that the Mizukage would not risk losing such a ninja.

Still, she was much better than the last guy who had held the position. Sayomi hated Saisuki. He was too much a pussy for her to have even the tiniest lick of respect for him. Constantly bitching about wanting peace for the village. They were shinobi. They were trained killers who killed for a living. What could be peaceful about that?

Sayomi moved over to the closet door and smiled at the bound victim menacingly. "Well aren't you just the prettiest thing I have seen all day. I think you and I are going to have lots of fun." she grinned, before bending down and picking up the woman, slinging her over her shoulder. "I'll try and be as discreet as possible, Agnia-chan. Let me know when a mission shows up, I'm itching to get out and find some new blood- I mean, meet some new people." she spoke with a snigger, bowing slightly before disappearing with her new toy.

Agnia chuckled. Whether she liked to admit it or not she had become an awful lot more serious since she had become Mizukage. But then it came with the job. Maybe it was stress. Having to keep up an image of fear to ward off assassins does tend to kill one's sense of humour. But that didn't mean she couldn't at least take pleasure in her work. Her actual work at the very least and not this damned paperwork. A stray thought passed by her psyche.

It probably wouldn't be so bad if I didn't keep killing the ones I pay to do the paperwork.

Wow, I hate it when I am right...

Either way, at least she could get a little vicarious pleasure from Sayomi's enjoyment. Maybe that was the problem. Since getting this job she hadn't found a hobby. it was all work. Maybe she just needed to find something to do to take the edge off her work.

"Well then, off you go then Sayomi. Enjoy yourself. I'm going to try and find some way to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Maybe I'll scare some Genin. That is always a blast."

She chuckled a little to herself. That might just be the hobby she was looking for.

Agnia had indeed heard of Saisuki's return but so long as his actions were fed to her she saw little reason to bother checking on him herself. She was still buried in paperwork when Saisuki and Ikawa came in. This was her least favourite part of the day. Paperwork and Saisuki. She audibly groaned before addressing them.

"Nice to see you back in town."

It was obvious to everyone with was a formality and far from true.

"Now then, why are you here with a genin?"

Saisuki stood before Agnia with Ikawa at his side, and he stood triumphant in his terrible plan, which was brilliant to him.

"He's my pupil from hereon today, Agnia-chan. So we need an assignment since... you know..." he trailed off, he'd yet to actually introduce himself to Ikawa, and had hoped that it would come up by someone else, "We need something nice and quick, I guess. Since the Chuunin Exams are like... what... tomorrow?"

...

Fuck.

They're tomorrow.

If worse came to worst, Agnia would tell them to just go do that and use Ikawa's not getting far in the exams to stick him somewhere else, causing Saisuki to have to be in Agnia's presence more frequently, doing her dirty work.

Man that was a terrible plan.

"So given that your new pupil isn't on his way to the exams he won't be going for Chuunin then? Very well, I do have some missions, but nothing that is worthy of your time but still won't get the kid killed. A former kage and a genin is a strange combination you understand. If you would prefer to take him to the exams then feel free, otherwise you can go deal with the claim of bandits to the west. Your choice."

Agnia wasn't particularly pleased with this new development. Pupils always reflected their teachers and having another dissenter who was all high and mighty like Saisuki wouldn't be any fun for her. All the same, better not to oppose it. Despite their professional (and personal) woes Agnia respected Saisuki as a fellow high level shinobi and he could probably help to mold this kid into a more powerful shinobi himself. Besides, perhaps the student would distract Saisuki from his pestering. She pulled out a mission brief and passed it to him and then stood up and began to walk past them.

"Either way, It is about time I set off for the chuunin exams myself."

She walked out the door of her office leaving the two standing there alone.

Saisuki's eye twitched. She... didn't tell them to do the Chuunin Exams?

That was... new...

For a moment, he thought of meeting her gaze to scan her thoughts, but he didn't like her head very much. Surely she didn't like the idea of someone potentially taking after him... but maybe even that didn't outweigh her desire to have as little with Saisuki as possible as he did.

"Okay," Saisuki said rather quickly, quicker than he'd like to admit, "Chuunin Exams. Cool. We can do that." he said as she left.

He looked to Ikawa and smiled, "So it looks like you are getting a crash course."

"I will do my best." he said looking back at Saisuki, a grin began to form on his face; he didn't know what to say. Ikawa had just became a Genin and this was definitely going to be a real challenge for him, but the young teen wasn't going to let an opportunity like this slide by.

"Okay!" Saisuki declared, looking at Ikawa's eyes and passing himself into his mind. He didn't poke around just yet or make is presence known, that wasn't necessary yet. "We'll go now. By caravan. This is so that I can train you in my own special way."

He smiled at the kid, "Let's go then, Atsuki Ikawa. I am hence forth your sensei, Kuragiri Saisuki; the only Sage-nin in the world and the Former 13th Mizukage. If that makes you lucky or unlucky is only up for you to decide. Let's go."

"I shall serve you to the best of my capabilities Sensei." Ikawa responded; he gave a smile back to his new teacher. The young teen gave a nod about leaving, they had much to discuss along the way.
