This desk is located within the Ninja Academy, where shinobi will come to in order to receive most of their missions from the Hokage. The Mission Assignment Desk is located within a huge, wide-open space with six windows and high ceilings with two stick-like lights. The ceiling also has the kanji for the word 'shinobi' printed on it. There is a long table where the Hokage and other ninja sit when distributing the missions. On the front of the desk, there is a white banner with the kanji that says 'mission assignment this way' and at the top is another banner that says 'everybody, do your best'. |

Aurora saw her squad into the Academy building where Genin squads were atypically given their missions. She stood behind her group of three, which had lined up in front of her as they awaited The Hokage to come and give them a list of Missions. "Whatever it is that Hatake-sama might have," Aurora said to them in a quiet tone, "I'll leave it to the three of you to decide. But try not to go too complex, okay?" Keisuke nodded. Of course he wanted a challenge, but he had to make sure that he could accomplish the task at hand. |

Youkou bounced a bit from excitement, trying to hold herself back in front of the Lady Hokage but failing miserably. "I'm up for anything," she said, trying to keep her voice down. |

Korin was eager to get started. His preference was to do a C or even B rank mission but considering his team had yet to establish a bond nor any support systems it would be tactically advantageous to do a D rank mission or two while they worked out how to properly mesh their abilities and personalities. He simple stood with his arms crossed. Despite the eagerness he actually looked a little bored. He didn't look Enoki directly in the eye, it wasn't obvious that he was averting his gaze just merely staring off, lost in thought as though he was bored as per usual. He was still a little annoyed about the transfer. |

The Big Bad Wolf
|
Shortly after his run in with the Hokage earlier in the morning, Kanta finished up his patrol and changed back into his ordinary clothing, a simple solid gray Kimono and bandages over his eyes. Without his helmet holding his hair back, his bangs fell forward a bit, though it wasn't something that bothered him too much. He had more important things to do, like checking with the Hokage to see if any new bounties had been added to the bingo book, or as he prefered to call it, his to do list. However as he reached the door, he found himself greeted to a paticular sight. A full squad stood in front of the assignment desk, perhaps one of the new ones, most likely recieving their first mission. He glanced over them rather quickly; Their Jonin he recognized immediatly, Aurora Uchiha, he had seen her first at the ninja academy long ago, not strange seeing that she was only a year younger than himself. She was certainly skilled enough from what he had seen of her over the years, for an Uchiha atleast. She seemed to have a fair bit less chakra than he had remembered... A shadow clone? Of course an Uchiha wouldn't be bothered to teach their own students. So who has the misfortune of being taught by a reject, even among her own kind? He wondered to himself as his eyes scanned through the students, taking note of their traits as he did so. The first had black hair and eyes, quite possibly another Uchiha. What a fitting fate, the weak teaching the weak. The second would be rather forgetable were it not for his bright hair colour, he was probably from one of the lesser clans. Kanta felt pity for the boy, for he could surely show potential if was was taught by someone with some skill. The last he looked over was the young konoichi, who from a quick glnace, looked rather similar to himself. Dark hair, pale skin, hell, she even wore a Kimono; But what stood out the most, was her pure white eyes... Wait, pure white eyes? A closer look at he girl sparked a memory of his from years ago, the memory that he should not have forgotten. The young member of the branch family, Youkou, who had been spared the branding of her kind, thanks to the compassion of his elder sister, and to a far smaller degree, himself. She had been the first step in Kanta's goal to unite the clan, a goal that he held very dear to his heart. It was unjust, to see that his hard work was to be wasted. The true potential of the Hyuuga clan was to be shown in the young girl, but it would truely be for naught if she was to be taught by someone inferior to herself. However much Kanta wanted to confront Aurora, he would have to wait until they took their leave. He had upset the Hokage once already today, and to do that a second time would only be a mistake. He would wait by the door and follow them when they passed him. Hopefully neither Youkou nor Aurora would recognize him before they had left the building. |

Enoki entered the room, mildly surprised to see she had people already waiting for her. Giving Aurora a smile, she moved to take her seat behind the desk along with the other various jounins who usually helped her out. She moved in closer to the table, picking up a scroll and reading from it. "Now what do we have here... Squad Eight's first mission." She looked up from the scroll to give the three genins a warm smile. "Now as this is your first mission, don't get your hopes up and expecting to take something challenging. That comes later, when you have fleshed out your skills, trained hard and mesh well together as a team. For now, here are the missions I am offering you, so take your pick of the three." She threw three small scrolls at Aurora, to give to her team and discuss. Request: Find the missing pet. Client: Madame Haruna. Rank: D. Details: Suki-chan, the beloved pet cat of the Daimyō's wife, has gone missing (yet again). Your mission is to locate the cat, secure it and bring it back to Madame Haruna to receive your reward. Reward: 500 Exp; 10,000 Ryo. Request: Paint the Academy fence. Client: Noboru-sensei. Rank: D. Details: The paint of the fences surrounding the Academy are fading in the sun and begin to chip and peel. Your mission is to repaint all of the fences from top to bottom. Reward: 100 Exp; 5,750 Ryo. Request: Do a day's farm-work. Client: Itsuki-san. Rank: D. Details: One of the farmers just outside the walls of Konoha, Itsuki, wants to visit his daughter who has recently given birth, but cannot leave the farm unattended for too long. Your mission is to do a full day of various tasks around the farm. Reward: 350 Exp; 7,500 Ryo. (If you think the Rewards are a bit ridiculous, I used this as a guide for the money amounts for each rank) |

Keisuke looked qt the three scrolls in Aurora's hands and noticed the one about the cat. I've heard stories about that cat from others shinobi and kunoichi. It's said to be pretty vicious at times, and I was also told why it leaves. She smothers the cat alot. Oh well, a missions a mission. That might be a good way to start working on teamwork. "Sensei, I think we should do the one with the cat. Might be a good way to flesh out some teamwork skills." Keisuke input. |

Youkou thought for a moment. "I agree with Keisuke-kun. It would be a great way to establish a dynamic!" She giggled. "And with Korin-kun's shadow abilities it will be easy!" |

Looking at the missions to be decided upon Korin found it fairly easy to decide. The cat seemed to be the least time consuming and also had the highest reward. That certainly seemed like the ideal one to choose. The others seemed to agree and they were right that shadow imitation was perfect for capturing targets, even animals. He nodded in agreement with the other's choice. Rather than walking over to sign his name on the mission sheet he used his shadow to pick up a pen and sign his name. The signature wasn't perfect but considering how he did it with that it wasn't bad. This was something that he did regularly. Learning how to write neatly with the shadow had taught him better control and preciseness with his shadows. |

Keisuke walked over to the scroll and signed his name on it. Perfect. Great choice by us. |

Aurora smiled and slowly made her way to the desk, signing where her students had signed thus completing the team's selection. Also made sure to leave the other two scolls that had been tossed their way on the table. "Very well then, that's our mission. Let's go outside for a moment." she said to her team softly and with a smile. She slowly left the room and to the outside, though not exactly any farther as she waited for her team. Aurora danced her legs from the tree, "So which mission'd they pick?" she asked herself as she hopped down from the tree and walked up to herself. They were dressed completely differently, just like this morning. The Shadow Clone smiled "The Cat Retrieval Mission." Aurora gasped, "What? Really? With their abilities, that'll definitely be easier than any of the other missions they might have given, like painting fences or being farmhands! I had no idea!" The Shadow Clone tilted her head and raised an eye-brow. Did her original really not realise that? Actually, no, she probably didn't, being as casual as she was today. She sighed, and looked at her original self, "I assume you sorted it all out then, right?" Aurora looked around momentarily, before bringing her hand to her stomach, "Yeah, everything's fine. It ain't goin' anywhere. We've nothing to worry about." The Clone chuckled a bit as she handed back the money purse to her original, "Talk your ear off, did they?" "Uuugh..." Aurora gestured, slumping down slightly as she put the purse away, "Like no tomorrow." The Clone nodded in acceptance of all she'd been told, "Alright then. If family matters are all sorted, I'll leave them in your hands now, okay? They're your students after all." Aurora nodded as the Clone made a seal to despell itself, which it had. The Knowledge then filled Aurora, and she clicked her tongue, 'I forgot to teach them wall-walking.' Edited by 『 』, Jul 7 2012, 10:07 PM.

As they left the office they had a little while before they had to set off. While the others grabbed their equipment Korin decided to head down to the training field for some last minute prep. If they were to be catching something then he should work on his imitation. Especially given that it cailed him when it counted against aurora. |

Keisuke met Aurora outside and realized Korin wasn't there. Then he smirked. Must've went to do more training. Honestly, I'm not surprised. |
