Ginjo walked to his place, grabbed the Kage's hat from his back and put it in front of him. Then he sat waiting for the others to do the same. |

"Well fruit. Guess that means we're gone too." Saisuki mused, "Oh well." he playfully said as he grabbed at Haru's collar and proceeded to playfully drag him from the room. |

Enoki smiled and nodded her head once again as the last Kage, the Yondaime Kazekage known as Kyoryu arrived, meaning that the summit meeting could finally start. There sure are a lot of Yondaime Kages. I hadn't really noticed. I like Yondaime things. I am aware. Now leave me beast, this meeting is important and I must concentrate. That didn't go down well with the Bijuu, he detested beng called a 'beast' and let her know, ripping a snarl through her thoughts before his consciousness disappeared. Leaning back in her chair once more, she awaited for the others to get settled before they could properly begin. |

Agnia briefly regarded the kazekage as he sat but it was clear her mind was on other things. "Okay then, lord Raikage. I understand that you must have an important reason to call such a grand meeting so How about we start with that." She had little patience for pleasantries as well. |

The Raikage takes his seat and takes deep breath. "As we all know, the Great Ninja War almost lead to the complete destruction of the Hidden Mist, as well as performed great damage to the Leaf, Sand, and even here, the Land of Iron. Not to mention the countless places caught in between. While it had been caused be the former Mizukage, there is a key word I want people to notice. Former." He pauses. "With the exeption of the Lord Hokage. This war was lead by former leaders, and since then those leaders have seemingly passed away, whether through battle or other means, the torch has been passed to us, the next generation. I called this meeting because it is my hope, my goal in life, to unite this Brave New World peacefully. Together, we can better all nations, not just our own. I understand that tension still exists, but now that the world has healed, I hope that through a step by step process, we can build a great future for Shinobi world." "Fruit?" Haru said confused as Saisuki grabbed his collar and began to drag him. The invasion of his personal space was certainly not welcome. He growled a bit, and pulled away. He headed quickly to his seat behind the curtain above his kage. He sat quietly and listened closely to what was being said. |

Kyoryu, listens intently to the Raikage, Peace would be nice for me to finish the reorganization, but to associate with the Hidden Mist? No, I must support this movement for the good of Sunagakure. "I concur, peace is the only way for us to proceed," he begins, I may be younger than they are but I must succeed. "I assume Lord Riakage, that you intended to draft a treaty of sorts, a more permanent and binding code to ensure that another war never occurs?" |

Enoki closed her eyes at the mention of the Great Ninja War. Her first years of Hokage were definitely her hardest, she'd had to mature rather quickly in order to be able to deal with everything that was thrown at her and Konoha. She'd missed out on just being able to be a young woman, not that she was overly upset about it. Most shinobi had to grow up in those times. Her eyes snapped open when the Raikage referred to her as a Lord, she was very much a Lady, thank you very much! Her dark eyes gazed across the faces of her fellow Kage, trying to read them, but it was difficult. Everyone was keeping a poker face, even herself. Guess it was a habit that came with the job. She waited until A had finished his speech, explaining the reason for the summit, and Kyoryu had spoken before she opened her mouth to speak. "I personally think that this meeting between the Kage has been long overdue. As the longest reigning Kage in this room, I wish nothing more than for our villages to be at peace with one another. We have each lost too many souls, and at what cost? If we cannot try and change this world for the better now, will we ever truly be able to coincide with one another?" |

"I agree on trying to create peace between teh villages." Ginjo said for the first time speaking about the actual subject that called him there. "But the real question if it's possible. A lot of Shinobi still have grudges towards other villages. Do you have any idea of how or what can we do to not force our decision over them?" Although he wasn't exactly good at politics, he knew that the secret to achieve anything with a group is making them think it was their idea. Forcing ideals to someone else WAS basically what started every war on History. "If not, I think this reunion is doomed." |

Agnia was willing to be the realist here. These idealists were ignoring the real problem. "Peace is easy to talk about but actually doing so is difficult. We are shinobi, we learn the ninja arts to defend ourselves and have done so for countless generations now. Do not think that I wouldn't want peace, but so long as there are shinobi there will be war. How can you have a builder without brick, a miner with no quarry, a soldier with no war? It is fine to talk of peace but between the villagers there is much bad blood. How do you propose to solve this? Alliances only last so long as the people who make them." |

"This is why we will start with the young. I have designed a plan for the children to be the leading force in this change. They do not know war, our bad blood is merely history to them. If we at the very least show the illusion that we're peaceful, they will cooperate when they take over." It was time to get into the specifics of the plan. "You spoke of my plans of a treaty? Well, this is what I prepared. The rank, Chuunin, will be redefined. I want it to be no longer in the hands of the individual villages, but decided by all. There will be a "Chuunin Exams." Genin from around the ninja world will gather to prove their worth through three trials. If the majority of the Kage deem them worthy, they will become Chuunin. It's a simple set up, but it's the show I'm concerned with. This environment will be considered entertainment and open to the masses. The world will see the 5 Kage gathered for merriment as well as business. And it really will have business applications because our young will be able to impress all the potential clients in the crowd, and people will begin to rely more on the Shinobi. Profit and Peace" |

Haru listened intently to the discussion. As usual, Agnia had the right idea. They were shinobi. What would they do without war? Where would they all be without war? And how would they even begin to eliminate such a thing as war? As long as shinobi exist, there will be war. As long as alliances exist, there will be war. As long as differing ideas exist, there will be war. Haru knew this. Agnia knew this. Why was it so difficult for the others? There was no way he could ever see long lasting peace. It is not profitable. And it is dangerous to their very existence. Haru looked at Saisuki without saying a word. He was waiting for the old man to whisper something ridiculous to him. But then Haru realized something. This was the first time he ever took a good look at the old man. He seemed familiar. Of course, it could have been because he was the last Mizukage. But that wasn't it. It was more than that. It was a strange sense of deja vu. Like they had known each other before. Like they could have been colleagues or even teammates. But Haru knew that wasn't possible. He could never rely on someone like him. The old man was intelligent, more so than anyone in the world. Haru held no illusions of that. The things he had done, they had reasons. Well thought out ones. But it was based on the idea that shinobi could survive in a peaceful world, a wrong idea. Something not even the great Saisuki was immune to. He respected the old man. He just couldn't bring himself to believe they ever could have worked together as allies. But maybe. Maybe in another life. Haru moved his attention back to the Kage. He did not want to linger on the old man. He had most likely already lingered too long. He prepared himself for a jab, or some sort of veiled insult from the childish old man. When the Raikage suggested their be a Chuunin exam, Haru smiled. Now this was an idea he could get behind. If the exams were to pit the villages young against one another, as Haru assumed, it would certainly be a grand show. Having the shinobi of the Mist slaughter the genin from the other villages was a grand thought. It would be a great show of power. The names of the Mists most powerful young ninja would spread to every village. Perhaps he had misjudged the Raikage. Anyone who could suggest the slaughter of children at the amusement of a crowd certainly had a bit of a ruthless streak. (Okay, to anyone confused, I referenced the fact that both Saisuki and Haru were characters in the first RP I ever played in. Sorry that this came out of nowhere.) |

Saisuki actually managed to keep still and quiet, and was very attentive. He'd been standing perfectly still, unmoving in the slightest. His eyes were even shut. Was he asleep? While on the one hand, that seemed very in-character for him, he had previously been far too excited to come here; would he really just sleep the chance away? Suddenly he snapped awake. Or rather, not awake, just opened his eyes a bit raptly and flinched ever so slightly. "Tanuki..." he softly whispered, where only Haru had a chance of hearing him, moving his gaze over to the place the Raikage would be seated. Well, he was seated there, but there was kind of a curtain in the way. He then turned to Haru and smiled, "Chuunin Exams? Sounds like fun." he whispered. How'd he know that if he was asleep? Haru was about to ask the old man about what he meant by tanuki. But when Saisuki mentioned the Chuunin exams he got a bit excited again. "It certainly does," Haru whispered back, trying to hold back his excitement. "A chance to show what our young ninja are worth." He paused for a second, remembering what he had originally planned to ask. "Wait... what did you mean about by 'tanuki'?" |
