A solid white room, is where the portal leads... The room was empty, endless and open for the two warriors to be tested by the Maako doll. Maako waits impatiently for his students to show up. He is an average height doll with spiky hair. "Damn it!!! I wish these guys would hurry it up!" He yells. |

Mito was unsure what kind of challenge this was to be. For the sake I safety he figured I was best to assume danger and. As he exited the portal he created a dark fog to obscure all sight of him and had an illusion of himself emerge from the fog dramaticall while the real Mito stayed low to the ground completely hidden by the thick black smoke. The smoke continued to roll out from its centre at the portal and continued until it went about half way between the illusion and and getting slowly thinner as it spread out. Admit it. Okay fine. You do occasionally have a good idea. The smokescreen was clever. Happy to be of service. The illusion spoke. "It seems like a reasonable assumption that you are the proctor for this test. So tell me, what is this challenge to be then?" |

Jim wandered in and walked up to the illusion, looking at the target. "Hi, I think you might be the first to meet Louis. Though, I hope not." He tensed up and readied himself. |

Maako had no time for stupid questions. He runs at a mild speed and kicks towards "Mito" obviously phasing through since he was an illusion. Maako lands in the smoke. "What's the big idea...? Are you a ghost or something?" He asks scratching his head. |

The illusion smiled Maliciously. "A ghost? I suppose that is close enough. What I am is a specter of darkness from hell itself. Now die, and let your soul suffer a thousand tortures by my hand." As he spoke slowly his voice projected louder and more violently. The fog began to swirl around his feet, rising up around him. His eyes turned from their normal black into a deep red that glowed which the light from was the only thing that could be seen as the fog engulfed the illusion. for a few seconds it lingered violently twisting around the eldritch abomination before being shot out along the floor to all sides revealing him once more. The illusion had changed and grown, its face now possessed might and sharp horns, its eyes remained glowing a deep red and its hair stretched down its back. Its face was twisted into a terrifying snarl with long and pointed teeth and its arms were tipped with frightening claws. A tail with a dagger point swished around behind it dramatically. from its back were sprouted dark wings that shot out to the side. Its regular cloths were replaced by black armour and the whole thing glowed with a dark aura. Its hand tilted up to Maako with claws out dramatically and it spoke with a demonic voice. "Come. Meet your fate..." Meanwhile the real Mito was crawling along the thick darkness getting into position. It was an elaborate show to be sure but it could result in one of two endings. He could win by the opponent fleeing in fear or he could win with a surprise attack. Either way it was best to prepare to attack. finally after the illusion had finished its monologue Mito was in position. If his opponent attacked again he would have enough time to attack him before Maako reacted but far enough away that an energy attack wouldn't hit him for splash damage. At least in theory. How was that? Perfect. I didn't know you had it in you to be so scary. Just make sure he keeps his eyes on you and we should be able to take him down. Anything you can do I can do better. Is it really a good idea to be thinking of showtunes while playing an eldritch specter? Oh yeah sorry... Edited by Mistriousfrog, Sep 12 2012, 04:07 AM.

Jim looked at the target go strait through Mito and then a type of monster seemed to appear out of the black smoke. "I have experienced scarier things." He said it mostly to himself, but looked to see Maako's reaction, becoming more curious than actually wanting to fight. |

Maako looked up as the "ghost" grew into a scary looking form. Maako's eyes widen and his smile grew. It was freaking cool. He had a confident look on his face, ready to face down against the beast. Instantly his whole body turns into pure fire, still maintaining his form and lighting up the shroud revealing the true Mito. Maako was unaware of the sneaky Mito but kept focusing on the large monster ahead of him. The fire begins to grow larger, eventually matching the height of Mito's beast and transforming Maako into a fire demon like monster with demonic wings, horns, and flame teeth. A long tail drags across the ground. "Let's do this." Maako says smiling. He flies towards Mito monster phasing through him again. "How are you doing that...?" Maako asks. He flies through him again this time punching through him. Meanwhile his tail swings and hits Jim, some of the fire spreading around his clothes and burns him slightly but doesn't physically move him. Maako looks down and sees the real Mito revealed. "Who are you little man?" Maako asks flying down to Mito. He transforms back into human form and lands next to Mito. "That thing belongs to you?" He asks looking at him. |

ohh. he saw you. now what. I've go an idea. Another Mito stood out of the darkness away from where the real one. and spoke. "It belongs to me." another one stood, "and me." and then another and another until there were 4 others. they all spoke in unison and began walking towards Maako. It belongs to us all. It is one of us and we are one of it. Meanwhile Mito took the momentary distraction to try and uppercut his opponent, hopefully taking him out in one aimed blow. Idealy he would have burned him but this guy was a flame user so perhaps fire wasn't the best move. |

Jim felt the slight burns, but took almost no notice to them, flashing a shadow for a moment, then back to 3-D and walked towards Maako. "So what are you exactly? An elemental, or an elemental user?" |

Mito tries to catch Maako off guard, Maako's face turns into fire causing Mito's arm to slip through his face and burn slightly. He suddenly turns his face back to normal and smiles at Mito. "Don't be stupid, I know exactly what your powers are idiot." He yells. He reaches back and punches Mito square in the face, a slugging homerun punch, knocking Mito far backwards causing him to land on his back. He turns to Jim. He knees Jim in the chest then hammers him down to the ground, and steps on his back hard. "Quit all the yammering! Let's fight, come on!" Maako says kicking Jim in the side causing him to roll a certain distance. He smiles and turns his hand into a fire blade. "I am Fire itself!" He yells. |

Jim turned into a shadow as he landed on the ground and went some distance before heading back he became 3-D then ran towards Maako. He created a vacuum with no air for about ten feet behind him, thinking that it might affect Maako. Right before reaching Maako Jim went 2-D to go into his shadow if he had one and dodge any attack, still followed by the small vacuum.

As Mito landed he felt the pain of that. That really was most inconvenient. There goes his first strategy. Abandon fear. Lets go with grid lock. okay The demonic figure transformed back into a teenage girl with blonde hair, rose's normal form and began to fly into the air above them all, looking down on everything. relaying a birdseye view of the battlefield to Mito. The darkness and mito clones vanished leaving the white space once more. Lets do this. After jim finished his attack Mito stood back up and began a plan anew. As Mito stood he tapped into his power once more and created 32 box grid of 4 metre high walls that rose from the ground. While anyone could pass through these walls freely they were unable to see through them. The only one who could see all the boxes freely was rose up high and she used the hive mind to relay that information back to Mito. |

Maako turns his feet to fire, the fire spreads and bounces to the side rapidly avoiding Jim's incoming attack. A bit of the vacuum tugged at Maako's fire causing it to disperse and for Maako to roll out of control on the ground. As he rolled a bunch of grids started rising around him, he bounces through about three until he stops and lands on his face. He stands up holding his face. "Geez... that kinda hurts..." Maako says. He looks around. "What the heck... I can't see through this thing. He's trying to buy some time. What a coward." Maako yells. Maako turns his arms to fire and creates fire wings. He begins to flap and take flight above the grid lock looking around. He sees the Rose illusion and approaches her. "So are you another one of his illusions... what are you looking at?" Maako says staring down. |

Jim returns to 3-D and looks up at Maako and waves to him. It seemed that he was at least affected by the vacuum and that gave Jim some hope. He waved to Maako and spoke to him. "Hi, my name is Jim. I am a shadow of sorts. Who and what are you?" |

"He can fly?!" In unison Mito and Rose spoke in shock. We need another new plan. Distract him, I think it is time we team up with our fellow on this one. Got it. Rose looked up form the grid and faced Maako. "I'm not like his other illusions. I can hurt you if need be." This wasn't strictly speaking true but the whole point was a momentary distraction. She held her hand out to the side and it slowly extended and became more metallic developing into a sword. Once it was fully formed she launched herself at Maako at full bearing back to strike him with the blade. In reality she would pass right through him but when she got close she plannedto act as a flash bage grenade using the veyr extent of her abilities to flash super bright and loud hopefully momentarily stunning him. Meanwhile the real Mito used created a roof on the grid to hide himself from Maako's vision. Now he couldn't see the grid system any more either but he knew where Jim was anyway. He ran through the walls to Jim. When he passed through the wall appearing next to Jim he spoke quickly. Time was limited, it wouldn't be long before Maako realized he could just ignore Rose because she was inconsequential. Hey! Not the time. right sorry. "Listen, we don't have much time. Whatever you did before it seemed to be the only thing that affected him so far. It won't work on a direct assault so I'm going to distract him and then you trap him in whatever that attack you did was." Edited by Mistriousfrog, Sep 13 2012, 07:48 AM.
