Orientation [Day Zero]; Why don't you take a seat right over there?

In the courtyard stood a large wooden stage, in the center sat a lone podium with a microphone attached to it. A few chairs were laid towards the back of the stage; a place for the teachers to sit and wait for their turns to talk. Before the stage were many other chairs, neatly in rows, and one for each student to sit in. The teachers were all seated accordingly, were ready for the students to arrive, and it was about time for the orientation to begin.

Teacher Seating: Gretchen->Gene->Arthur->Jennifer->Tad->Lilith

Arthur sat in his chair on stage. 'Damn, I hate waiting.' he thought to himself. The teacher turned his head over to Gene. "So, how do you think the students are going to do after seeing their tests against the dolls?" he asked his fellow co-worker. The mage had his left leg over his right and had his arms crossed as he sat.

Benji hadn't had to much trouble finding the courtyard, and sat down in the back row of chairs, as far right as he could. His hand still resting on his holstered pistol, he took in the staff on the stage. The Headmistress, two female teachers, two male teachers, and a janitor. Benji was pretty sure he was wrong about the third man on the stage being a janitor. Still his right eyebrow rose. Raising the left instead would have irritated his scar too much.

Gene was lying back in the seat with his hands behind his head. He barely tilts his head over to Arthur as he asks that generic question. Gene was already dreading having to give that giant wall of text of to the kids, and his coworker decides it's a good idea to ask the most common of questions. Dammit, why must this be discussed? To be honest, he kinda lost interest half a minute into the fights. Gene wasn't about to say that, so he just shrugs in response.

Jess arrived and took a seat away from Benji, not by a specific reason, just because having 2 gunners next to each other sounded unpractical... Specially if there was anotehr surprise from part of the teachers.

Speaking of the teachers, looked like everyone was there, which meant this was an official introduction... Although, after seeing what some of them were capable of, the life of the students could be in danger.

Jennifer was rocking back and forth in her chair, still dressed in those green clothes from earlier that day. She seemed annoyed and ecstatic all at once, a talent of hers that had confused many individuals in the past. Her current peers in the faculty? They've learned to live with her strangely mixed emotions. The students? No idea what to expect, and surprise was something of a specialty of hers...

"Tch. If they can't get here in the next couple of minutes, I say we kick their asses. Heh. Or give them an applause. It's not like I'd never skipped school before."

Peter walks up to the courtyard and sees the set up.
He sits down and starts looking around at the setting.
If he hadn't lived with Bo for a while, he would have felt out of place from his previous city life.
At least he seems early.

Kamiko and Makenzie enjoyed a lunch before meeting in the courtyard. She was satisfied with her meal although some of the meat was overcooked. She arrived at the courtyard finding a stage with the teachers sitting down and seats for her and Makenzie to sit.

"Hey Makenzie, let's sit over here kay." Kamiko says pointing to a seat.

She walks over to the seat and sits down.

Lilith, sporting no nail varnish sits on stage in her assigned area. She nods and smiles at each student as they join the rest of the academy in the courtyard for a brief orientation.

"Let's not bore the students with a long introduction, you will have the time to fully go over what you need in your class, just give them a basic outline." She says

Krosa enters into the courtyard and takes seat near the end of the row, not exactly sure what to expect he decides to prepare for anything.

Mito arrived nonchalantly but his expressions hardened when he saw Gretchen at the end of the line of staff. As he found a good spot for himself and Jim to sit he kept his eye on her. He was still convinced that she was responsible for his sponatneous combustion before. Yet still he had no why. For now it was probably best to study her, figure out what exactly she was capable of. He knew she could heal and presumably ignite flames from a distance but that was it so far. An unusual combination so there had to be more to it than that.

You still have no reason to think she did it Mimi.
Just because I can't prove it doesn't mean that it isn't true.
*sigh* fine, keep your suspicions then, just don't act on them. I don't want to end up getting killed because of your paranoia.
I'll compromise, I won't act until I have proof.
Urrgh! Fine! Just don't come crying to me when you become the human torch again.
But we aren't...
I know we aren't human. it was a joke. Humour, you remember that right? Seriously, you need to lighten up.
Hmmph, whatever.

Lance found his way to the courtyard after a few minutes; it wasn't that hard because of all the signs everywhere to tell him how to get there. He felt more comfortable in these clothes then his usual armor set, maybe because it was a change of pace. The young man felt the wind on his finger tips as he walked; he gave a smile as he approached the seating arrangement. Lance took a seat in the back, crossing his arms, and leaning back in the chair a bit to get more settled.

Arthur watched as more students arrived, he was curious what they were like outside of combat. He had watched them through an orb on his desk, but he wasn't that impressed. There was much for the students to learn, especially about magic. Then again, he was somewhat like that when he had first come to the academy to learn. The mage sighed and waited, he just wanted to give his quick speech and get the hell out of there to go back to his desk or probably to do something fun that would entertain himself for a while.

[marq=Left]Transition[/marq]

The paladin looked up at the teachers, there were two more than before. He cringed a bit, feeling as if they would probably be scary like the other two. Lance sighed and tried to be more patient as he would need to wait for the others to arrive before the orientation would start.

NO.
Delilah wandered into the area, appearing as if in a daze. She was deceptively alert however, just enjoying herself and the surroundings of the school. She hadn't managed to really speak to any of her fellow students except for her roommate Makenzie, but she hoped over time that others would approach her. For now, she would let them have their space, despite not having the most experience in social situations, she knew that the first day of something like this was overwhelming and she had decided to back away from everyone.

If they wanted to talk to Delilah however and approached her with intentions for a converstion, she was more than happy to oblige them.

"I guess I'll start us off. Pain in the ass."

Jennifer stood up and approached the podium, staring down at the students for a moment. Then, just as before, she instantly changed appearance, and with it, personality. Now she was shirtless (wait, what?) wearing a padded chest piece made to resemble a muscular man's pectorals (oh, ok). Her shoulders were covered in various blue tattoos, while she now wore a red cape with a high collar, a rather unique insignia emblazoned upon it. To top off this new ensemble, Jennifer now wore very long, pointed orange sunglasses and held an extremely long katana.

"Alright, listen up kiddos, because the one and only indomitable spirit of manliness doesn't like repeating himself! My reputation travels far and wide as the amazing and totally badass leader of Team Dai-Gurren! Consider yourselves privileged to be able to bask in my glory! Me! The mighty Jennifer Hanson! Though you can call me Kamina! I'll be teaching you all Focus, which means I'll be pushing you all to keep on pushing! Most of you will probably need hospital attention after each one of my classes, but that's just more motivation to keep up that manly fighting spirit!I won't let any of you stop until you are the students THAT PIERCE THE HEAVENS!"

She thrusted her right index finger upward dramatically at the climax of her speech, somehow setting off multiple explosions behind her. Jennifer turned round and took her seat again, shooting a look at the other teachers that seemed to say, "Beat that!"

Benji was to say the least, very confused. The first teacher to speak was clearly insane, and not a good insane either. Mind you, it explained the Headmistress' attitude with him earlier. She had to deal with Ms. Hanson far more than he did.

Mito just rolled his eyes at the maudlin display before him.

Still think I am too self involved?
Yes. But she might be worse. I mean, if she wanted us to take her seriously as a celebrity maybe we should have heard of her before. Or better yet, she could settle on a single persona to be the famous one.
when the goodie goodie is pointing out you are ridiculous you know there is a problem.
Can't you appreciate the fact that we are agreeing without being snarky?
