Not sure what the context of these videos are, it seems like it's a tv show or at least an internet show.* Anyways, fans voted who would win in a fight and then these people put it into live action. First one however is just a street race between batmobiles. Gandalf Vs Darth Vader Batman Vs Wolverine Lara Croft Vs Nathan Drake *Apparently it's a web series since I found the website There's an episode 5 and 6 because the website currently has episode 7 poll up, but I don't know where to find them Superman vs Thor is the current poll Edited by Rasen, Dec 15 2012, 05:51 PM.

This is quite amusing and in truth it is actually fairly reasonable. I agree with most of the results, particularly the batman one. |

I'm sorry, but there is no way in hell Vader beats Gandalf. Vader may be a very powerful force-user, but Gandalf is literally a demi-god. I'm also dubious about Wolverine being able to beat the Bat. I mean, sure, he wins in a straight up brawl, but batman doesn't fight in a straight up brawl. Ever. Edited by Lithas, Dec 15 2012, 06:07 PM.

If Batman were to immediately enter a fight like that, he'd lose to Wolverine. Give him a chance to learn from his opponent and Wolverine's screwed Now, I'm okay with the Vader fight. Because...what does Gandalf ever do? Coming back from the dead is damn impressive, but in battle? |

Gandalf is a Maiar, which puts him at immortal-being (which is something Vader wants to be but can never get to mind you) level. He has access to magic which can destroy legions of soldiers, as well as magical-shields which can block out attacks from the likes of Sauruman and the Balrog. Oh yeah, the Balrog, did I mention that he fucking KILLS THE BALROG? That seems a bit important to mention to me. Ok, I can see why you would still argue against this at this point, but there's another thing to point out: Vader is still inherently good. You can't really argue against that, in light of the movies. Gandalf's little trick with the illusion magic (which I'll admit Gandalf never used in canon... aside from some voice imitation) should have done something, but he shrugged it off entirely in this. |

The Gandalf vs Vader one I could go either way to be honest. After all this is Gandalf the grey so his power is still fairly limited while Vader is theoretically at the height of his power. As for the Wolverine vs batman one I am sure wolverine would win. They are using the dark night trilogy batman and if the bane confrontation has shown anything it is that this rendition of batman is prone to overconfidence. With that in mind it is pretty believable that he would attack the criminal murderer without all that much research thinking he could win. In an unplanned fight batman has no chance against wolverine, the combination of metallic body and healing prevents batman from ever doing any lasting damage. And in all fairness, once he knew he was outmatched it was clear that he did everything he could to escape but was incapable due to Wolverines healing and brutality. |

Vader can't even use force lightning, so kinda iffy on the Gandalf fight. |

I agree with that. When the very first action shown is an impossibility it does throw the whole thing into question. |

Another worthy note is that, aside from a few pieces of machinery, Vader is still human. He can totally die just like any other human. Gandalf, on the other hand, appears human but is not (as mentioned by Luke that he is a demi-god (even though Gandalf is technically a demi-demi-god)). He also has a real demi-god that he works for. So, having a divine presence watching over you is a huge buff, as is not being human but deceivingly appearing so. Vader would not know Gandalf is inhuman, and thus the power would take him by surprise. Also, while Gandalf's power is completely unknowable, Vader's is fairly within the grasp of one's mind. He has a very limited palette of skills. Gandalf, on the other hand, has an unlimited palette. Thus, Gandalf wins, no dispute. |
