Dominic, dressed up in his button-up shirt and slacks (which he absolutely hated, but he refused to wear his comfy clothes at work) turned the open sign around at the front door to Deliquent Delicacies. It was eight a.m. and he was opening the place up. Well, the public space, anyway. Not a lot of people knew about what went on in the basement, but they really didn't need to know, now did they? Not that they'd believe it if they were told. Humans these days had a habit of only believing in what they could actually see.

The young man wiped some tables off with a damp rag, waiting for the first customer of the day. In the meantime, he had a feeling that his old friend Durza would be stopping by. He could feel the shinigami's reiatsu somewhere close. A smirk appeared on Dominic's face as he eagerly waited.

Driving down the road, Lana had her helmet and biker leathers on as she drove around looking for a place to grab breakfast. Spying a place that was just opening, Lana pulled up outside and parked her bike. She walked towards the door and slipped her helmet off, shoving it under her arm as she walked inside and looked around.

As she spotted the cafe worker, a smile lit up her face and she shook her hair to make it a little less messy as she walked towards the counter. "Hey there. Could I get a black coffee and some breakfast scones please? I'll sit inside with them though if that's alright." She remained at the counter until he gave her the okay to find a seat or until he gave her her order.

Having just found a natural portal to slide himself through into the mortal world, Durza was walking about to the "Deliquent Delicacies". Kushin was sealed in his scabbard, which was shifting with the cool morning breeze. Durza was excited today, and that was considerably rare. Durza tended to be more cynical than even the most jaded of individuals. He might have finally found a lead. He was so excited that he passed through a car while crossing the road... he was lucky there wasn't anyone who could see him.

As he got to the doorway (Because in a place where he could be seen it was just rude to walk through the wall), he saw that a woman was standing at the door, speaking to his friend Dominic. He waved to him as he walked into the place, a big grin on his face. He'd been searching soul society for any kind of lead he could find, and he might have finally found something.

Dominic smiled professionally as the young lady entered the cafe. He nodded as she made her order, then couldn't help but smile. His friend, Dirza, had just entered the cafe. Dom didn't bother to return the wave, that might disturb the young woman, but his smile was very warm. Of course, to Lana, it might look like he fancied her.

"Coming right up, miss. Feel free to seat yourself anywhere."

Lecero shakes his head in exhaustion, he had been up baking since two that morning, and even though he didn't exactly need sleep but he enjoyed it anyways. He pulled out his last batch of baked delights he cracks his neck and walks to the sink washing his hand one more time before he decided to go back to front of the store to see his costumers and if Dominic had started work yet, he knew that Dominic was a good kid so he wasn't worried. He exited out of back door carrying the platter of fresh scones, and places them in the nearby glass case so display them well.
"Morning Dominic," he then turns the customer and nods his head. "Good morning, yo... mam," he stutters around young lady as in his gigai he appears to be as younger than she is. He turns to Durza and nonchalantly nods to him in accepting his presence, obviously not able to openly accept the presence of an invisible spirit.

Her eyebrow quirked at the sight of the guy's smile but she simply gave a curt nod of her head and walked over to a table by the window, as far from the door as possible. "Thanks. Oh... those smell good." She sat herself down, setting her helmet on the floor by her feet and zipping her jacket off and putting it on the back of her seat. She was wearing a simple navy v-neck sweater. Her bag was plopped on top of the table as she sniffed the air when the scones came up from the basement. "Hey there kiddo. How's it going? Did you bake those yourself?" She was so used to asking questions and making the conversation flow that she didn't even stop to think that this may be strange or unusual for the poor kid.

Durza nodded his head at Lecero, and bowed. He did like his manners, and though the fellow shinigami looked young, he was far older, and far more powerful. Noticing that the guest by the looks of it at least wasn't spiritually aware and couldn't hear him, Durza started talking in excited tones. "I've been hitting the books in soul society for a while now, learning as much of Reishi as I possibly could, that isn't new... But I think I finally found something!" He took off the tube he carried on his back and took out a scroll titled Myths and Legends of the Spirits. It was a long scroll, with cramped lettering lining the entirety of the meter or so long scroll. "One of these myths actually deals with the place Reishi was first created... I dug around a bit, did some cross referencing with human myths, religion and whatnot and... I think I have it."

Lecero looks the young lady, and replies "I bake everything here, every morning one of the perks of ownership." He then looks to Durza, and makes an eye movement telling him to head towards the back room a place where he could speak to Dominic in peace. "Dominic, I can handle the store for a while, why don't you go into the back and get another bag of coffee beans, we're almost out of the light blend," he figured this would give the kid a chance to speak with Durza without drawing attention to himself.

Dominic went to work making the young woman's coffee as Durza started blabbering on excitedly. It was all Dom could do to keep from laughing outwardly. Once the cup was ready, he brought it over to Lana, alone with the rest of her order. It was then that his boss suggested that he head to the back for more "coffee beans." Dom nodded, hiding his excitement.

"Good day, miss. Enjoy yourself." Dominic smiled warmly at Lana before turning back and heading through the door to the various back rooms. Once he was secure, he leaned against a stack of crates, and spoke to his friend once he entered as well.

"Ok mate, so let's try this again, just with a wee bit less excitement and without me servicing a pretty girl, aye?"

Durza took a deep breathe and tried to speak coherently as he himself went into the backroom. "Well, in my short life I've only had one goal... And that is finding the secret of creating Reishi. Well... 12 years and a "Frequent Visitor" card for the Soul Society library have paid off. The scroll I pulled out gave me a location which I researched in human lore... If this is correct... I know where the first Reishi particles were created." Durza's restraint broke completely as a huge grin broke onto his face. "You do realize what this means right?!" He asked excitedly. "This is world changing, earth shattering news!"

Dominic just chuckled at Durza's news. Hopefully this time he was right and it wasn't some sort of wild goose chase. After all, it wouldn't have been the first time. Still, he loved accompanying his friend on these wacky and zany adventures. It was like the games he couldn't play when he was a kid, except it was real instead of imaginary.

"Well hopefully it's somewhere on earth, right? Because we've been over how I can't follow you back into Soul Society and whatnot. Where will we be headin', mate?"

Durza smiled. "Well, I hope ol' Lecero pays you well... because you're buying a ticket straight to Israel." From the plastic tube on his back, Durza took out another document, this time a map of the area. "Right here is where we gotta go." He said, pointing to a dot in the Negev desert. "This is Mitzpeh Ramon, translated it means "Ramon lookout", it's a very small town, barely even a village, has a nice hotel, newly built and everything... also possibly a secret portal to a previously undiscovered part of Earth. That my friend, is where we're heading... Don't worry, it won't be like the doughnut store incident..." Durza looked slightly embarrassed at that. One time he had thought that he would find a hollow's secret base in a Chicago doughnut store... turned out "hollow doughnuts" were merely hollow on the inside...

Dom looked over the map and thought about it. A trip to Israel, eh? Could be nice. He'd have to study up on his customs. He handed the map back to Durza with a nod and a smile.

"I certainly hope it is, mate. I still can't show my face in Illinois, not after I blew up that wall with my spear. Hollow donuts indeed." Dominic chuckled and scratched his forehead a bit.

"So when did you wanna bugger off, eh? My shift's only just started, can't run out this quickly."

Durza nodded. "It's fine, I'm good chilling here for a while anyway, I usually lose my mood when I'm in Soul Society." Being in Soul Society meant being alone, usually, and being alone meant Durza would naturally become more in touch with his inner world... there weren't many happy thoughts in there. "I figure we gotta split in about 6 hours, closest flight is in 8."

"So, pretty lady eh? Got the zanpy in your pants in shikai?" Asked Durza with a smirk, trying to keep himself from thinking too much about his inner world.

Dominic stare silently at Durza for a moment. Two moments. Three moments. Finally, he let out a groan and banged his head against the wall.

"Uuuugh... Really mate? Really? Just... Uuuugh."

Dominic recovered himself and shook his head. He leaned up against the crates again. "No, Durza. She's a customer that came in seconds before you did. I just served her some black coffee and scones, that's it."
