The stone collapses under the intense pressure David put it under. Gabriel just stood there with his mouth wide open. Shana looked at the event before staring out at the sea again. |

David felt it was best to clarify the results a little so as not to alter the data. He was about o explain the magical enhancement which was likely responsible for a majority of that strength rather than the hand when he remembered that there was a good chance Gabriel was related to the Black Knight somehow. Best to let him think the robotic hand was his only asset in the scenario that he was forced to do battle with it. Left a lot less room for planning ahead. Besides, the specs for the robotic hand would still be accurate even without the comparative study of David's natural strength. "I suspect it is because this hand doesn't rely upon muscle pressure. It can break the normal limitations a human body sets itself." |

Gabriel realizes the position he was in and set upon making his massive astonishment not quite so obvious. "Ah yes. Something that doesn't rely of human muscle would ah... be able to surpass it...erm yes. That's makes sense. Well, I was going to move elsewhere, but I think I should focus on finding out the limitations of your hand's powers first. I'll be over here." Gabriel walks behind a nearby rock and falls on his posterior. He'd need some time to recover. |

"Seems reasonable. I couldn't tell you in terms of newtons, but I suspect it is over ten times a regular person's potential. There is a reason I can only pass myself off as a warrior." David stood back up back up and looked out at the sea, it was quite beautiful. He had never been a beach person, but something about how normal it looked, reminded him of his own country and was calming. |

As David stood there, a noise makes itself apparent. It sounded like a horse galloping. |

That'd be the knight he thought to himself as he turned to look at where he heard the sound coming from. with any luck, he will be about as good as Monty Python's rendition |

What David forgot was that the Black Knight in The Holy Grail was a total badass that never gave in. And last time I checked he was not King Arthur. However, it was not the Black Knight. It was a dirty, but official looking man on a regular brown horse, dressed for endurance. He slows down to a stop right next to David. "'Xcuse me, but do ya know where Roan is? I don't have much time to lose." |

"Certainly my friend, though I'm not sure they will be eager to let you in. Either way, head straight for that hill and then keep going and you should see it before long." He pointed to the hill that Gabriel had brought them from. It was another assumption, but if he was in a hurry and had a specific town in mind it was likely that he was some kind of messenger. |

"Thanks," the man then rides of in the equivalent of a sprint over the hill. Soon the sound of hoofbeats fades into nothing. |

David decided it was best to ask Gabriel about it. "So do you have any idea what that may have been about, he was certainly in a hurry." |

"Well it could be one of a few things. Either it could simply be a personal message to a villager from a metropolitan area, it might be a new decree for the government to know about, or... it could spell trouble for us all. And judging from the hurry the man was in, I fear it might be the latter." Gabriel pushes himself off the ground and dusts off his clothes. "In any case, we might want to return to the village. The possibility of calamity outweighs the benefits of continuing my research. Besides, by time I return, your clothes should be done." |

David sighed. This seemed pretty typical of his luck. Although, if Gabriel is connected to the black knight as David suspected then it is probably good that he knows the least about the superior technology in David's hand as possible. This could get interesting very quickly when the only person David had met was potentially related to a blight on the land. Either way, without more information there was little he could do for now. He went to get Shana so they could return to Roan. |

Shana was still sitting there staring out at the ocean. She hears David walk up from behind and looks at him with an expression that approximated to,"What do you want?" |

He put his hand out to help her up signifying that it was time to go. In his gut he felt he twinge of regret once more about taking her here, it seemed cruel to put a symbol of what he had taken from her so close to view. David hadn't ever been one to beat himself up much and had tended to just accept life as it happened but he couldn't escape the feeling that he had wronged her greatly, even if it was accidental. |

Shana sighs (somehow sighing just seemed to be something that came naturally. Or maybe she learned it from the great amount of sighs surrounding those dealing with the city guards?) and gets off the ground. Gabriel urged them to follow and set off for Roan with great urgency. |
