David managed to get on top of the floundering fish, but its jerky movements kept him from landing where he intended. He'd need absolute concentration, along with a bit of luck to reach his intended goal. The fish would make it back into the water in about 3 posts. I mean minutes. The violent shaking of the fish would indeed make it difficult. David decided to use the same principle as a trampoline in order to cross it. Use the jump arcs in order to propel him across the fish and land back on it as it decended. Far from easy, but David had always been better at problem solving and acrobatics than fighting anyway. The only goal was to get a solid grip on the fish's gills, at that point it would tear itself open from the floundering in theory. |

With quite a bit of effort, David managed to get a grip on the gill cover of the fish. Not perfect, but it was a place to start at. You Health: 110/110 Energy: 95/125 Giant Catfish Health: 135/135 Energy: 90/125 |

David stood against the side of the fish with as solid a grip upon the gills as he could get and pulled. The fish's floundering should theoretically assist his efforts to tear the flapping skin back and even a small tear would mean victory as the fish would drown upon re-entering the water. A battle is won by choice, not by strength and it was the choice of always relying upon strategy before action that David hoped would give him an edge against any opponent. Within his mind; David just wished that any opponent would accept that outcome of his strategies and could skip all the physical activity necessary to carry out the plan that would theoreticallty mean victory. Mind games were much more pleasant for both parties than actual effort after all. |

David actually managed to grab hold of the slippery gill inside but all he succeeded in doing before getting knocked off was creating a relatively small tear in the fish's gill, getting blood all over his shirt. David fell flat on his rump on the now uncomfortably wet lily pad. He had been so preoccupied with the fish, he didn't notice the water filling the plant. Even if he didn't get eaten, which was still a real possibility, he wouldn't have a place to stand on for much longer. 1 post til re-entry. As David was thrown off of the fish he once again wished that he had a sword to do the cutting and tearing for him. David thought about what his options were. He thought he felt a tear in the gills so at absolute least the fish should be impaired, thereal problem at this point was where to go. Even an injured fish would have him sunk if he was forced to go swimming for any extended period of time. He had three options as he saw it. Attack the fish again and hope that he could somehow find safety with it. Unlikely. Try and form a makeshift raft with the lilypad. He lacked the time and materials to do that satisfactarily so that it would float. That only left Occam's Razor. He ran towards the closest lily pad in this pond and dived into the water to try and swim the distance.

Let's see how Occam's Razor works out. Here's the theory that you will be eaten by fish before reaching safety. 1.Fish are capable of eating humans exist in this lake-True, as shown by that giant thing floundering into the water behind you. 2.Fish are willing to eat you- Probable. Fish get hungry, and although they normally prey on other animals, Wally's disappearance lends credibility to this. Now let's test the theory that you live. 1.There is nothing in the lake capable of eating you- False, as shown by the giant fish behind you. Also, the presence of that fish makes the likelihood of other big fish even more likely. There's also the probability of other aquatic predators like crocodiles. 2.Nothing will take notice of your mad dash to safety- Unlikely. The fish on the lily pad can hear where you are traveling by the splashing created by the swimming. On top of that, any animal in the vicinity will probably take notice. 3.You can outrun any fish that takes interest into eating you- Very unlikely. The average human swims roughly .8 kmph a speed outdone quite easily by most fish. Even with enhanced strength, you won't be going too much faster 4. You are heading towards land-Technically true since land is probably in all directions, but chances are you aren't taking the most direct route. 5.You will have the stamina to make it onto dry land and not drown- Unknown. You couldn't see land at all from your lily pad though So yeah. You make it all of 500 feet before a giant serpent swallows you whole. Current Character Sheet And then David was in this massive void. It wasn't possible to tell if the place was bleached white or a dark abyss. It was just... empty other than him. Then a tap comes from behind. It was Morgan Freeman, dressed in a snazzy white suit. |

Surprisingly, David was unimpressed. After the series of events that had thus far occurred, having Morgan Freeman show up in a void of darkness didn't even register. "So... Given you stick out like a sore thumb in that suit I assume that you are important here right?" |

"Yes, I've been hired to narrate the stage directions that have been given to me. But first, I have a brief appearance here to tell you that you are dead, and currently reside in purgatory. Before I leave, know that you are about to face a series of trials. And the exit is that way." Morgan Freeman points to his right. And like that, he was gone. All non-dialogue text must now be read in Morgan Freeman's voice. |

David sighed. If he had to be killed by a giant fish couldn't what came afterwards make sense. Deciding that following the arbitrarily set direction is probably smarter than venturing off into no mans land in a void beyond logic and sense David followed the directions he was given. He quickly became bored with the lack of really anything other than darkness and began paraphrasing Morgan Freeman movies to pass the time. "I'd like to tell you that life and death are logical. I'd like to tell you that..." Edited by Mistriousfrog, Mar 18 2013, 11:04 PM.

Round 3 David soon found himself out from the ever encompassing darkness in the ordinary office. However, strewn across the room were the bodies of various men in suits. A feral beast with a blood caked maw climbs over a nearby cubicle. It looks over to David and snarls. Enemy: Feral Beast Health: 150/150 Energy: 230/230 Let's Rock! |

This is a strange progression thought David. terminally ill guy to inescapable sea of monsters to lovecraftian beast. David decided that without some sort of weapon odds were that the would fall victim to the claws like all the other bodies here. He looked around the office for anything that could be used to fend off the creature. |

There was a stapler and... a discarded tie or two. Meanwhile, the beast hops down from it perch on the cubicle and begins moving ever so slowly towards David. |

David grabbed a stapler and tie and ducked down into another cubicle. Maybe he could find some way to choke it or staple its eyes or something. First though, he would have to figure out this things intelligence level. The pile of bodies might help in that respect. David thought that hiding his scent among the bodies might throw the creature off a little. |
