Considering the movement of all the people fighting around him he was surprised anything in his peripherals was able to draw his eye but he looked for the source of the annomally all the same. He found his heart rate was rising. Doubt and the unknown was far more threatening than any individual assailant to David.

As David's eyes sweep the battlefield, all he'd see is the chaos of battle, but something would begin to draw his attention and right as he was about to pinpoint what it was he was looking at, the thing would be gone. However, each time he would notice again the thing seemed to be closer than before. |

David couldn't tell whether whatever was causing the feeling of unease was purposefully hiding from him or simply getting lost on the fog of war. Either way, it seemed evident that they weren't actually causing him problems for now. He checked over to Shana once more to make sure she was still alright. |

Everyone was avoiding Shana for the most part. Mostly due to the literal trail of bodies she left in her wake. Which meant that she was now actively moving forwards to attack new enemies. Unlike the guards that David had seen, it looked like the former mermaid was enjoying herself to some extent. It wasn't a crazy slasher smile, but she was at the very least somewhat excited. And now that he was really looking, it became evident the forces of the Triad were really beginning to whittle down to nothing. It looked like there were roughly 75 people left. But it was hard to tell in the thick of combat. |

Clearly she was less hesitant about killing people. David knew that he had probably killed a few but he had done his best to try and simply incapacitate rather than kill in the battle. It served both his conscience and was tactically superior as an injured person was a burden on the army while a dead person was simply a lost man. Either way, it was clear that he didn't have to worry about Shana. In the back of his mind he questioned how she became skilled with a sword when from her underwater home such a weapon would be virtually useless but for now it simply wasn't worth examining. He had relaxed enough, he looked for someone his next combatant to take up arms against. |

David spotted one guy who was purposefully trying to stay in the back for as long as possible while simultaneously blending in with his comrades. |

Staying out of danger but drawing close with comerades. Perhaps an officer giving morale. He crouched down for a moment and then took off at high speed as he decided to charge straight at him in the hope to catch the man off guard with a sudden kick. |

"What the-" The man was sent flying from the kick, crashing into at least five other guys. A couple guys who were close to the hang-back-man turn towards David, attempting to catch him in an improvised cross slash of an axe and sword You Health: 189/205 Energy: 297/380 |

David recovered from his kick quickly and continued attacking those around him targeting those who were attacking him first. Using the two swords in his possession he aimed for the arms of the people going for him in an effort to disarm and incapacitate them. |

Well there was an obstacle in David's path to the mens' arms. Namely, their weapons. |

The weapons they had chosen would be wielded in an overhand fashion. That tends to leave a wide space underneath their hilt where they were vulnerable. By using his superior speed and attakcing underneath where their weapons could guard he would theoretically be able to strike them without them being able to defend themselves. |

Well it was a bit of a risky maneuver so this will be decided on chance. Factoring in speed and reaction times, a D20 will be used to decide this. Anything below a 5 will result in a failed attack. The lower the number, the worse the attack comes out. That includes if the attack actually hits. EDIT: David barely manages to avoid the blades of the axe, and ends up hitting the men in the gut with the hilts of his swords. However, the two victims ended up getting in a good shot of their own, in the form of their arms hitting the cyborg on both sides of the neck, a vulnerable area. The two men collapse, grasping their stomachs. You Health: 171/205 Energy: 276/380 Dice Roll(s)

That was more damage than he had taken from anyone else in the battle so far and yet David was happier with that encounter. There had been no fatalities but the men were removed from combat. Hopefully he could keep up this momentum of non fatal incapacitation. He glanced around to check if there were any more assailants. |

Off at 9 o' clock, David saw a bit of movement in his peripherals that was different from that fleeting thing from before. This was definitely coming at him. |
