The God of Conquest

How many times am I going to wish I had something to cut with today David thought as he tried to come up with a new strategy given his current equipment. Unless he wanted to hope staples would do damage the stapler wouldn't be worth much and other than choking the tie wouldn't be much better. It seemed that the time for a bold action was upon him. Without it he would simply be cautiously avoiding it until it eventually found and killed him. David watched the movement of the tail and tried to predict it. He waited for it to swing the right way and then made his move to leap onto the creatures back and try to use his original plan. Just like breaking any other animal in theory. He just had to hold on until it collapsed. |

OOC Immediately as the beast felt pressure on its back, it began to thrash wildly, and with the ability to loop the tie-noose around the thing's neck impaired, David barely managed to get it around the neck before loosing footing. Act now. (you still haven't fallen yet) |

David decided using his legs to steady himself was his best bet to avoid sudden trampling. He wrapped his legs around the creatures body and squeezed as hard as he could to try and prevent himself from being tossed off. Grabbing the makeshift reigns he had made with the tie he pushed his weight backwards to further increase his chance of staying on it. Who knows, if everything goes swimmingly I might break it like a horse and have a kickass monster to ride. he thought to himself desperately trying to find some way to look at this situation optimistically. |

Although his 'nads did not appreciate the jolt, David was on the back of the beast and was not dead. Yet. Enraged the beast began bucking, spewing fire everywhere. It felt like David was beginning to slide off the side. Neither option was getting instant results either way. You Health: 52/115 Energy: 152/170 Feral Beast Health: 112/150 Energy: 77/230 |

Even fingernails would be useful at this point. he thought to himself as he saw the short bitten fingernails on the end of his hand. Either way, though he was hanging on and keeping his balance, all it was serving to do was make the beast angrier. The heat from the flames was making it uncomfortable but he was sure that the ma movements of the beast would leave it exhausted soon. He just had to outlast it, show it who's boss.` |

David was staying on using the entirety of his energy to avoid falling off. The shaking and bucking of the beast made him feel sick and even weaker when compounded with the blood loss that had been occuring. The skin across David's hand was pale white, and a tiny bit of blood mixed with the sweat in his palm. A great tension was wound throughout David's body, although he wasn't entirely aware of it at the moment and burns were cropping up all over his arms and face. Luckily, the beast seemed to be wearing out first. David could feel its movements slowling down from his position on its back. He was thankful for that. His hand was hurting tremendously from gripping so tight and he knew it would soon blister. More important for the moment was to take advantage of the weakened beast. Now that it had slowed down and was less eratic david atempted to get his arm around its neck to cut off its oxygen supply and knock it out. |

(Sorry for not updating sooner. I haven't been on a computer for most of the week.) David got his (assuming left hand) arm around the beast's neck and began to squeeze with all that he could. Unfortunately, the beast had a rather large neck and although near total exhaustion, the thing still had quite a bit of fight in it. It tries snapping David's arm to no avail, before deciding to roast both itself and its pest. The burns were quite severe for the two of them, but it cauterized the wound some it was a take and give situation. You Health: 33/115 Energy: 98/170 Feral Beast Health: 68/150 Energy: 3/230 |

David was weary from the wounds, but he could see the beast was almost about to collapse so he stuck to it despite the pain and burns. his thoughts were becoming a little less focussed now, and it was less analysis and more pleading with the universe. It will collapse any second now... any second... oh god, please collapse any second now... |

Spoiler: click to toggle David was thrown off of the beast's back with what was left of its strength. He fell on the ground, battered and broken, but he wasn't done yet. The beast was far worse off. Music blares from nowhere filling the man with renewed strength. It was time to finish this. (This is essentially me giving you free reign to think up a crazy final attack. Well somewhat non-restricted reign. You've earned it) |

Spoiler: click to toggle David was thrown off the creatures back but as he hit the ground he could see it finally fall as well. He lay there for just a moment, breathing in and out to get back the oxygen in his lungs, accepting that the battle was essentially over. When he had gained his breath back he stood once more and it seemed almost as though he could hear music all around, egging him on. Unsure whether this was a product of his own tired mind or the senseless environment he was now part of he strode over to the beast, proud of his achievement. He had asserted himself the dominant creature, the most powerful. Now it was time to put this little fight to rest. The music grew to a crescendo as David reached the unconscious creature, clearly the powers that be expected David to do use some sort of insane method of finishing this battle now. David obliged. He leaned down and began tending to both of their wounds. Having asserted himself the alpha male he should have gained respect. Better a loyal ferocious beast than a dead one, and David didn't much like unnecessary bloodshed after all. Fatality... Friendship! |

The beast and the office all dissolve before David's eyes. They were powder, then they were no more. Too bad he still felt like shit. He was now in the all encompassing empty again. However, his wounds began to fade away. However his hand remained missing. Level Up! New Stats Health:190/190 Energy: 230/230 Attack: 5 Defense: 3 Speed: 8 Equipment Gained! Cyborg Hand: David's left hand is replaced with a robotic one that reacts much like a normal hand. It's still a bit stiff dexterity wise, but the machine is much stronger than ordinary flesh. The appendage is permanently attached to David's arm and is made of Unobtanium, allowing it to power up with David and withstand a variety of implausible attacks. The hand also has a gem in its palm, allowing it to fire lasers with a passing thought. These lasers have a 1 post cooldown, and can be buffed up by using up energy. |

David felt a little sad over the passing of Richard (for that is what he had named the beast). He had made up a backstory which he planned to project into the creature and everything. Still, he was pretty accepting of the new scenario which involved becoming a part cybernetic freak. Transhumanism never did quite sit right with him. Although he did have to admit, having a robotic had would probably be pretty useful... |

Current Character Sheet A new scene formed around young David. He was underwater, but he felt at ease, able to breathe as if it were air. He was at the bottom on the sandy floor. It was surprisingly bright and clear there. Visibility would be no issue, even though sound would be a bit distorted. From above swims a mermaid. It smiles at him and dishevels his hair as if it were an older sister. |

David observed the creatures movement appreciating its grace under water. Compared to a human's awkward pawing to move through it. He hoped that whatever was about to happen wouldn't involve more violence, he had had enough of that today. He preferred a good puzzle, maybe a sphynx challenge or something. He regarded the mermaid's smile with a smile back and a slight nod. |
