The God of Conquest
Name:
Erika Alduin (eh-rick-ah al-doo-in)

Age:
15

Personality:
To say Erika is an odd duck is an understatement. Since childhood she has always seen the world in a way that other people simply can't follow. Her train of thought doesn't follow any recognisable track and derails constantly to the casual observer.

Despite this Erika is far from unintelligent. Perhaps not academically but her observation and intuitive learning border on genius to the point where many believed her to be psychic when she was young. You would rarely know it from the brief conversations she usually shares though.

Erika tends not to talk about herself in great detail. Most conversations with her tend to be superficial due to her 'weirdness' turning people off to her. Those who break beyond the initial turnoff of absurdity will find her to be incredibly kind and generous. While her friends are few in number the bonds she builds with them are strong indeed.

At the core of her character is a drive to be unique and stand out amongst everyone else. This doesn't mean she wants to be superior nor draw attention to herself, merely that she has an obsession with the unique. She abhors those who try to force her into something against her will and may object to things that are mainstream simply on the basis of them being a task for the sheep. This desire to escape from the system which creates all people equal an identical in her mind has left her without long term goals other than to resist becoming the legacy that her adopted family had tried to make her become.

Appearance:
Erika's most striking feature is her gaze. Her eyes are a dull green that seem eternally trapped in a state of a strange blend of curiosity and indifference. Only on a blue moon when something truly out of the ordinary to draw her interest occurs does this gaze change.

Erika has dark red hair that falls down to her neck but it is eternally messy from a lack of upkeep. Though she is less than average height you are unlikely to notice i due to the strands of hair that sick up above the main volume of it. Despite common exposure to sunlight, Erika's skin remains very pale. Her skin tone and eye shape clearly denote her as a foreigner. She is half English and half Japanese.

Slight in appearance Erika lacks many of the features of traditional attractiveness. Her bust size is rather small and other than the iconic gaze there is very little about her which draws the eye to her. Despite her rather petite look though she is surprisingly strong and agile.

History:
Erika comes from a family that has just this generation come into a fortune. Her father was a chemist who had built a business from the ground up by sponsoring research into certain treatments and amassed considerable wealth in the process. She is not related to this family by blood but rather an adopted daughter. Her father's eldest son was deemed unfit to carry on the family legacy and so a child believed to be a genius in Erika was adopted for the sake of creating a legacy. Because of this Erika officially has an arranged marriage to her stepbrother for the sake of maintaining this family but it is an arrangement she has no intention of upholding.

It was at a very young age that Erika was for all intents and purposes bought from her original family. She has little to no memory of them. All she knows is that her adopted father paid her biological parents a rather large sum of money for her which they would have starved had they not agreed to. She has never had any real contact with them.

Erika' entire reason for Adoption was that Arin was simply not enough. For that reason the two were always compared to one another. While Erika held a steady lead in almost all facets of life, she simply lacked drive. Eventually as she reached the end of middle school it seemed her grades were dropping and Arin who worked far harder was raising. Eventually when a true heir was to be chosen, her father chose Arin over Erika. She has still never admitted to anyone that she actually aided him in being chosen due to having no interest in simply being a legacy.

While her brother was sent to one of the finest private schools in the country, Erika was instead sent to Kurosaki for high school education. She keeps in relatively close contact with her brother and they write to one another at lseas once a week. In order to lay low and give her brother the greatest possible chance at fulfilling their father's legacy Erika's marks have always remained consistently less than his by a small margin.
