First Day of School (Class 1A)

It was an average classroom, 2A. Taking up most of the left wall was a giant window, covered up by blinds. There were 30 or so desks arranged neatly into rows, facing the teacher's desk, behind which was a blackboard for the teacher's personal use. It was still dark due to the time only being 6:30 in the morning, but the blinds would've kept any rays of hopeful sunshine out if there were any.

Class begins at 10 am (-6 GMT) on 6/18/12.

Frent had gotten up early and was taken to school very early because his parents believed that people should always be at least five minutes early. Unfortunately, that included taking him to school before their work so he had been dropped off at school and left to find his classroom. He put his stuff down at the corner desk by the windows and close to the back of the room. Having good eyesight, he wouldn't be bothered by the distance unless the teacher was very quite. Sitting down, he slugged his backpack onto the desk and slumped his head onto it, waiting for others to arrive.

For Mamoru, the first day of the school year was always one of his best. Although being on vacation had been wonderful, he had to admit that school could, at times, be a lot more interesting. Mostly because of his devious little pranks that made each day just that little bit brighter. And a new year brought a new class, along with new teachers and new classmates; therefore new victims.

He wasted no time entering the classroom, noticing immediately that he was not alone, and had not reached the room first. That didn't deter him however, as he quickly moved over to the teachers chair, 'modifying' it before anyone saw and ruined this classic but hilarious prank.

Once he was finished and satisfied with his work, Mamoru walked up the aisle between desks and made his way to the desk on the right of the back row, his preferred spot - far away enough from the teacher at the front of the classroom, and far away from the window so anything he did wasn't as visible.

Frent watched with interest and just decided to see what would happen.
"I wonder how that is going to go."

Mamoru sat down on his chair and leaned back, lifting his arms up as he laced his fingers together on the back of his head. Hearing the other boy's comments, he quickly glanced over to him before his attention shifted back to the front of the classroom.

"Should go smoothly, as long as the teacher doesn't suspect a thing." he replied offhandedly, hoping his classmate liked a good laugh and therefore would keep his mouth closed.

Frent caught the hint.
"Yes. It should be. I haven't had a good laugh in a while."

Looking around the rest of the classroom, Mamoru couldn't help but notice just how quiet it was. He knew he hadn't arrived super early; did that mean the other students were simply late? Most likely. He found himself wondering just who would be in the class, if they would all be strangers or if at least one of them would be a familiar face.

Letting out a rather loud yawn, Mamoru closed his eyes, hoping something semi-interesting would happen soon.

Frent looked over to the other student and then wandered over, extending his hand.
"Hi, I am Frent. What is your name?"

The two were soon joined by another young girl, her light brown hair bouncing in a ponytail. When Rei entered with a cheery smile, she expected there to be more people. There were only two. Oh well! Rei glanced around the room and zeroed in on the desk in front of the two kids already in the room, hoisting her bag over her shoulder and walking over to it. "Hello~" she greeted the others.

Mistunari had gone through his regular morning routine, but somehow still managed to arrive a bit later than he had expected. As he walked into the classroom he looked around the room, taking note of the few students who had already arrived. Apparently the first day of school wasn't that important to the rest of the class, their loss. Taking a middle seat, he stared blankly at the front of the room.

Mamoru cracked an eye open as he heard footsteps approaching him, and soon realised that the other boy had come over to introduce himself. Surprised with the gesture of the hand extended to him, Mamoru sat up properly and clasped said hand with his own, shaking it accordingly. "Nice to meet you, I'm Mamoru..." he began to speak, until he noticed another figure entering the room from the corner of his eye.

It was a female student, and a rather pretty one at that. Mamoru couldn't help but follow her movements, almost as if he were transfixed by her presence. She headed straight for them, and he quickly remembered that he was still shaking Frent's hand, and quickly withdrew his own. "Hey there." he replied to the newcomer, his charms finally making an appearance. Not over the top, but there was certainly something dashing about the smile that appeared on his lips. "What's your name?"

It wasn't long until another boy entered the room, much to Mamoru's disappointment. He was determined to get a girlfriend this year; he'd been unsuccessful the school year previous. The newest boy sat in the middle of the room, pretty much blatantly ignoring them, which caused Mamoru's charming grin to fade into a confused frown.

Rena comes running into the class room without really looking around the class. She just stops and tries to catch her breathe.
"Woo, safe."

The other students walked in right before an aging, frail looking man who could be estimated to be in his mid 60's or so. He had white hair, well he had white hair in the few places it existed, like his eyebrows, or that donut around the mouth goatee. Luckily, he had all his teeth, not that you'd be able to tell that beneath his somber frown. The one thing not ancient on this man were his clothes. He was wearing an extremely nice tweed suit in a muted grey. Normally, gray would be impossible to make more drab, but the old man seemed to do it just by existing. He had a slow shuffling gait, the kind that would take minutes just to cross a street. He shuffles over to the front of the room and clears his throat before addressing everyone.

"Good morning, class." He says in a relatively high-pitched voice to the students before him. "I am Yamamoto. Starting from today, I'll be your homeroom teacher." He slooowly walks over to the blackboard and takes a piece of chalk, writing his name out on it. He turns around to face the students again.

"That's the only time I shall write it, so make sure you remember it." He walks over to the booby-trapped chair and takes a seat, falling victim to whatever Mamoru had set up.

Rei had just enough time to reply to the cute boy talking to her before the teacher walked it. "Rei," she told him. "Ichira Rei. It's nice to meet you!" When Yamamoto addressed the class, she gave Mamoru a cheery smile and turned to face the front.

Mamoru found himself grinning back at the girl who had introduced herself as Rei, finding himself unable to resist the cute smile that appeared on her lips. It wasn't long until another girl arrived, a blonde who said something about being safe before the teacher arrived.

Poor Yamamoto-sensei. The man was in for a tough year.

The grin on Manoru's face widened as the teacher sat down. It was only a matter of time before he would attempt to stand up again and find himself glued to the chair.

He leaned back in his own chair, feeling rather satisfied. If the events of the morning could predict how the rest of school was going to, it was going to be an awesome year,
