Flames Storm Flames Storm flames are considered to be the most offensive of all the flames currently known, being, in it's own right, much like fire. The ability of a Storm flame are known simply as the power of 'disintegration.' Exactly as it sounds, Storm has the ability... to, well, disintegrate. Anything the flames of a storm user touch, begin to degrade and recede, as if thrust forward in time. Metal objects will rust, cloths will whither, and even other flames will simply disappear. Typically, those of the Storm alignment tend to have a brash and reckless personality, much more of a 'shoot first and ask questions later' personality type. Example Abilities Storm Blast B Rank Flame Technique By using concentrated storm flames, the user can disintegrate the flames of other people, rendering them temporarily useless. This is a useful technique when trying to wear down an enemy Invisible Death S Rank Flame Technique By lacing sound waves with Storm Flames, the user of this technique can build up enough flames in an enemy's body to cause massive damage. If the sound-waves themselves hit the target for more than 4 posts, minor internal organs will be shattered. At 6 posts, a human without flame-based armor would be killed. Rain Flames Rain flames, while contradictory in name, are actually quite useful. It is considered by some to be the polar opposite of the aforementioned Storm flames, and is much more like water than actual fire. Rains ability is known as 'appeasement.' Rain flame, while not usually directly damaging, causes it's targets to slow down. Their energy is sapped, their stamina drained, and their overall body functions reduced as though tired. It has also been known occasionally that a member of the Rain alignment can turn their fire into actual ice, for an entirely new twist on the flame. Rain aligners are often known to be appeasers, peace keepers, and overall psychiatrists throughout the families. They are usually the calm type that lives their lives in moderation, though not always true throughout. Example Abilities Rain Shards C Rank Flame Technique After sending out a wave of Rain Flames, the user slows the molecules down to the point where they form ice crystals, becoming spikes of ice that shoot out towards the enemy. Shot in a roughly 5 foot long streak, this creates around 10 spikes, each nearly a foot long. They will fly up to 20 feet away. Aqua Bubble A Rank Flame Technique Forms a large sphere with about a three meter radius of Rain flames around the user. These flames slow anyone within them to a standstill, weakening them to the point where they can no longer move. If kept in the flames for more than 4 posts, the victim will be drained and start losing consciousness. Sun Flames Flames of the Sun alignment are likely the least combat oriented of all the flames, even more so than that of Rain flames. Sun flames' ability is known as 'augmentation,' acting as a sort of buffer for all sorts and types of abilities, including those of other flames. Sun can be used to increase a bodies speed, strength, endurance, and can even be used to heal damaged people and things. Those of the Sun alignment are usually the most active of all others, acting as a long lasting energy source and endless beacon in dark times, always up and ready to go. Surprisingly, even though their flames are less combat oriented, the users tend to have a strong punch or kick. Example Abilities Healing Rays D Rank Flame Technique By using the activation power of sun flames, the user is able to speed the healing of small cuts and scrapes. More for removing minor injuries, this technique is designed to prepare the user for more powerful versions at a later point. Light's Burst B Rank Flame Technique After flooding their body with Sun Rays, the user of this is able to temporarily increase their speed and strength, but suffer from increased fatigue. (+1 strength, +1 speed, -2 stamina) Lightning Flames Flames that come from the essence of lightning are most often seen as a protecting shield of the family. Lightnings ability is called 'hardening,' meaning just as it sounds by increasing the density and toughness of an object. They retain actual attributes of lightning, meaning that the flames will actually electrocute rather than burn. These flames can also be used more directly offensively by becoming extremely hard to strike as a sort of blade. Personality types of Lightning users are often of what one might expect of a movie star or extreme sports man. Standoffish, the kind of people that love attention and showing off, never the type to act in moderation, always the sort of 'all or nothing' personality type. Example Abilities Lightning Armor D Rank Flame Technique This technique allows the user to coat their body in Lightning Flames, increasing the durability of their armor and clothing greatly. As a point of reference, normal street clothing enhanced this way will turn aside blunt attacks at a strength of 3 without harming the user. Piercing Bolt C Rank Flame Technique By coating a weapon in Lightning Flames, the user of this technique is able to give the weapon more strength when trying to break through an enemy's defenses. Mostly used with piercing type weapons to help them punch through Flame Barriers (bullets, arrows, throwing knives). Normal weapons infused with this will punch through up to a C rank barrier with most of their thrown strength remaining. Cloud Flames Cloud flames are often considered more of a support than offense or defense, but can be used in many different ways to achieve many different results. The actual ability of Cloud, called 'propagation,' is used in the growth and duplication of things. A single sword can be turned into two. A single bullet, even mid-flight could double itself. A tree that was once a foot tall could suddenly grow to be a hundred feet tall. Those with the Cloud alignment tend to be aloof, the sort of 'free spirit' type of people, and are unlikely to pick sides in a war based on loyalty, more likely to follow their own agendas, and pick who benefits them the most. Example Abilities Expanding Flame D Rank Flame Technique By inserting cloud flames into an object, the user can cause it to grow in size. This causes it to double in size for every post it is used. The expanded object retains it's durability regardless of size, however flaws such cuts and scratches in the surface will grow as well. If used on inorganic items, the growth is halved. Engulfing Armor B Rank Flame Technique After coating their body in Cloud Flames, the user of this will absorb the flames of others that they come in contact with. The absorption will cause their own muscles to grow temporarily, giving a temporary +1 strength and speed for every A rank level of flame absorbed. S Rank flames cannot be absorbed properly and will not be absorbed or affected. Lasts 6 posts. Mist Flames The Mist alignment is an interesting one, used mainly as support, though with low offensive capabilities as well. Mists ability is known as 'construction' and is used usually as a source of illusion power amongst its users. A complex string of thought can be brought to reality, and a single idea can be brought from fiction into a deadly reality. Members of the Mist alignment tend to be the quiet and shy type. Always willing to help, though not usually willing to put themselves at the forefront of attention, much the opposite of lightnings alignment type. Example Abilities Shroud D Rank Flame Technique By concentrating mist flames around the body, users of this technique can create a layer of mist around their body that extends out slowly to engulf their surroundings. The mist is more of a concealment, and is relatively thin. Anyone inside it will appear as a dimly colored silhouette, making the use of illusions more effective for taking out people. After used, the mist will extend out 5 feet, then an additional 3 feet per post that the user concentrates. After releasing the ability, the mist lasts for 5 posts. Can be blown away by Storm or Sun flames. Real Illusion A Rank Flame Technique By inserting mist flames into an illusion, the user can make the forms "real", giving them a physical form. These forms are weak, only able to stand up to a strength of 4, but cannot be "seen through". They are, for all purposes, physical and real. Can move up to 30 yards from the user, and lasts 6 posts. Sky Flames This is the most important flame of all. The Sky flame is, in and of itself, is simply the guiding flame that all the other flames follow behind. Sky's ability, known as 'harmony' to it's users, is all of the above. Quite literally, Sky flame is every known flames abilities condensed into a single mass of power within people. Storm, Rain, Sun, Lightning, Cloud, and even Mist are congealed into an amazing display of power through Sky. Those with the Sky alignment almost always show strong traits of leadership, and fondness of their underlings. Example Abilities Absorption B Rank Flame Technique By concentrating the sky flames in their body, the user of this can then absorb attacks dealt to them equal to their own flame rank (2 D ranks for C, 2 C ranks for B, etc). For each Sky Flame Attribute taken, incoming attacks are treated as one rank lower than they are. Edited by Yasashikaze Seiken, Aug 22 2011, 08:34 PM.
