Darkness shrouded all. The sun, ever fickle in the winter seasons, had yet to break the horizon. Alviss had spent the last hour meditating on his thoughts and focusing his ki as his master had taught him. Like usual, his thoughts where blocked by what he could only describe as a massive wall of black cloud. It seemed that anything that happened before returning form Japan wasn't valid, and even tiny details were given more importance. Sighing lightly, Alviss stood up and searched for such an identical trait amonst the few memories he did. With a single chop, he began. And again. And again. Soon, Alviss would be going through his hand placements nigh automatically. Little did he know that he would be getting a few visitors. Each strike into the crisp black air brought back another blank flash into his head. Alviss's training was the only thing that provided him with some semblance of reason, of sanity. Having so many blocked memories certainly proved to be a good test for his mental focus. Alviss's furrowed brow would be a sure sign of mental strain. The flashes were bad enoiugh; the fact that they actually brought physical pain certainly didn't help his cause. He fought on with overtly apparent difficulty, determined to complete his morning exercises. Edited by Yasashikaze Seiken, Sep 19 2011, 02:46 PM.
