Recipe For Disaster

About Us

Welcome to the year 3000, when man has finally discovered that he is not alone. Rather than fear this strange discovery, however, he has decided to embrace it. In fact, one man in particular has actually decided to stake out a corner of space for his own: for a fast food diner franchised from Astro Burger.

There's one catch however: no one wants him to have it. They've determined the restaurant is doomed to fail, and have not done anything to prevent it. On the contrary, there have been rumors that some of the employees themselves have been sabotaging the poor diner. But those are just rumors.

The roleplay focuses on the various employee's efforts to either keep the diner afloat or to drive it into the ground. Thievery, equipment sabotage, and various calls to the health department are just a few of the ways that the spies are trying to make sure that this Recipe For Disaster is put down for good.

Your character can be a regular, a worker, or a spy. Both alien species and humans are acceptable. Turn them into a shoulder to cry on or a two-faced double agent, anything goes here.

April 14th, 2012 -- Updated rules, specifically regarding activity policy.

April 3rd, 2012 -- Welcome to RFD, Sprocket Sauce!

March 19th, 2012 -- Deleted inactive members. Everyone who has not logged on in the past three months is now gone.

March 18th, 2012 -- After giving it some serious consideration, I have reopened new alien species creation. Humans are highly encouraged however, just to get more of a culture clash flowing.

February 29th, 2012 -- Decided to halt species creation for any other aliens. Members must now pick from the ones that are created or just make a human. We need to populate these races before any more will be created.

February 12th, 2012 -- The layout has been changed. This is a temporary update to the last one and will be soon replaced by a newer, better skin when Frosted Shadows can find the time for it. For anyone who is freaking out: The Cbox has been moved to the bottom of the board.

Welcome to Recipe For Disaster. Right now you are viewing our forum as a guest, so some areas may be off limits. We are a play-by-post roleplaying board involving a little fast food diner, strapped to an asteroid, floating in space. It more or less focuses on the characters' relationships with one another rather than the food itself. So many plots have the potential to develop within this open-ended board, if you have the imagination for them. If you think something is missing or just want to toy with an outlandish(or entirely mundane XP) idea, then feel free to make a suggestion. We also have canons open for you to claim, and hurry because they're going fast!

About Us

→	What We Are We are a roleplay board about fast food in space. Before you click that little red X, let me explain. This doesn't necessarily focus soley on flipping burgers, this focuses on a deeper subject: the bonds that are forged from being forced to work with one another. Your character could be a gossip, a shy guy/girl, or maybe that crazy party animal that everyone wants an invite from. You have the power to create your own races, and planets if you wish. Your characters can also be regulars that visit the restaurant to get their daily Thripinil Sandwich. In the year 3000 anything is possible, just don't forget to say 'Would you like fries with that?'
