Tulkas?
Merlin: Thank you.
Arthur: For what? For lying to my father to save your worthless hide? If you ever put me in that situation again, Merlin, I will clap you irons myself.
Merlin, Series 2

David: Oh and John. My TARDIS... mine. Say sorry.
John: Sorry.

No, no. Another hint: The guy whose name begins with T and to whom the quote was said was a Noldo. Now who of the Valar messed with the events in Beleriand before the War of Wrath?
"Ha! Wonnige Glut! Leuchtender Glanz!
Strahlend nun offen steht mir die Straße.
Im Feuer mich baden!"

Smashed down the light. I will not rest till I'm king. Valinor's empty now. allied the elves and men they shall be damned. A Dark Passage, Blind Guardian.

Now truly I am king of the world. Master of fate Damned shall thy house be. Thou shall not question my power Nor shall thou defy me further. The Steadfast, Blind Guardian.

No. The final hint: The quote was said to Turgon in Nevrast.

Strahlend nun offen steht mir die Straße.
Im Feuer mich baden!"
- Siegfried, Act Three, Scene Two.

Yep, it's right. Ulmo said this to Turgon just before the latter departed for Gondolin. Your turn to pick a quote.

YES! Can't believe it took me that long to get that... wow, feel like an idiot!

Right:

"The doom lies in yourself, not in your name."

Hmm. Was it Gwindor (to Turin in Nargothrond, after Gwindor told Finduilas Turin's real name)?

Well, I have a monstrous memory when it comes to quotes, details etc. I have read. Bu thow about this quote:

"Get thee from my gate, thou gangrel, jail-crow of Mandos."

Again, this is from History of Middle-Earth, but it's most probably exactly the same as in Silmarillion.
"Ha! Wonnige Glut! Leuchtender Glanz!
Strahlend nun offen steht mir die Straße.
Im Feuer mich baden!"
- Siegfried, Act Three, Scene Two.

Ooooh I know this one! Now I've just got to remember it...
Books contain knowledge. Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Corruption is a crime. Crime never pays. So, if I keep reading, Im gonna go broke!

Score! :):) I love that quote. It's one of my favourites. :)

Right:

'Why hast thou done this? Why dost thou attempt a thing which thou knowest is beyond thy power and thy authority?'
