After Akallabeth my favourite parts of the Silmarillion are the tale of Tuor and the scene in which Finrod meets Men for the first time. It's a pity that the latter scene is quite brief.
"Ha! Wonnige Glut! Leuchtender Glanz!
Strahlend nun offen steht mir die Straße.
Im Feuer mich baden!"

Okay, now I'm definitely going to try to get the book. :) Too bad that I don't like reading books on PC. I prefer lying on the bed while reading ^^"

You can get it quite cheaply from most second hand book shops.

Actually, I live in Russia, in Moscow, and I haven't seen any second-hand book shops here, at least not in the districts I live in or often go to  I guess I'll have to look in a normal one

Really? Damn! I don't know what I'd do without my second hand bookshops! I'm sure there's one somewhere. ;)

Meh, it depends on the book you're getting.

(All in American currency)

At amazon, the first one that pops up says it's 11, and some change. While a used copy is 3,49 plus 3,99 shipping. While at Ebay, when typing The Silmarillion, you find one for 4,99 plus 3,99 shipping. oh, just saw another for 2,99 and 5,50 shipping.

Hmmm, it's pretty even then? And of course it depends where you live for postage.

The copies I found on both amazon and ebay appear to be in good condition. I got my good version from ebay for about 60 American.

Well, I don't trust internet-ordering... Never ever bought something in an internet shop  Besides, it's kinda... more secure to hold the book in your own hands when you buy it. So thanks for the ideas, but I'll look for it in a bookshop :P

Oh don't worry Tio, I've ordered the Bionicle Legends book series from Amazon and it was very fast and trustworthy. :)
