I don't find this story as bad as it is laughable. But god, you gotta love your riffs. Tumnus is a great substitute, as well as Maglor. Question Jules, what made you pick Tumnus? (PS: Yay! I have internet even here on vacation in Austria! ^^ Question is, for how long...) |

I picked Tumnus for a simple reason: he's one of my favorite characters in fantasy. The story gets worse, because the author turns Peter into a Gary Stu, makes her characters all talk in this horrible stilted dialogue, and, worst of all, tries to write elaborately but fails miserably. She uses a lot of four or five-syllable words that she doesn't even know the meaning of (i.e., she uses the word "spontaneous" TWICE in referring to kindness!), not to mention a lot of ridiculous, Sueish synonyms for colors, not to mention dumb similes that make no sense (she describes a field of flowers as smelling like a freshly-baked apple pie at one point). I think I found it especially hard to read through the whole thing, and that's why I thought it was so bad. Leanora is the most boring, personality-less Mary Sue I have ever read about. It's also pretty clear the Suethor hasn't read the books. Except for a couple of dwarfs, a water-nymph, and an elf (never mind that there were no elves in Narnia), Leonora only meets the Pevensies. From reading the thing, you'd think they ruled over a sparsely populated area. Not one single talking beast makes an appearance; Tumnus and the beavers don't even show up. It's just the awkwardly-worded, nauseating tale of Peter-Stu and his twu wuv, Leonora--of course, I use the word "tale" loosely, because the damn thing doesn't even have a plot or an ending! |

Poor Peter...Forced to fall in "love" with such a Barbie doll. That's what I'm calling all Mary Sues now. Theyr'e just as plastic, just as perfect, and come in different fandoms. LotR Sue, HP Sue, Narnia Sue... Another good sporking, I love the fact you added Mr. Tumnus! |

Plan's for Monday. I just posted the Worst Episode of Law and Order. Ever. and tomorrow is "Captain Laurina" (once I adjust to take out references to the previous MST which I'm not posting). So, if everything goes well, chapter 1 (and possibly 2) will be up on Monday. Warning though, it's long. As I said, I was the masochist who MST-ed 39 out of her 40 chapters. |

I read this MST over at LotRFF before it was took down and want to say then how brilliant it was but I haven't joined LotRFF so I couldn't. However I can now and I will. Brilliant MST, absolutly brilliant. Tumnus is a fantastic substitue and you did a grand job sporking that truly terrible story. Well done. |

Waiting For Tomorrow

Thanks for posting the complete version! I think this might be my favourite of all your MSTs - some wonderful riffs from the foursome that I still giggle over. And thanks too (I suppose) to the girl with the lonely heart for her remarkable creation.
I have to agree. She's astonishing, perhaps the most inert individual I've ever encountered. She spends her first week in Narnia in a coma, and is scarcely more animated thereafter. Other Sues seize control of the narrative, battle fearsome foes, wield mighty magics and - if all else fails - sing. Leonora just stands there, dumbly following the lead of her friends and neither doing, saying or thinking anything of note. Really, she only shows signs of life when she's falling over. It's her Sue-perpower. Watch Leonora fall over a tree root! Watch Leonora fall into Peter's arms! Watch Leonora fall off a horse! Watch Leonora fall in a river! It appears that the only narrative drive in this story is being provided by gravity. Of course, there's so much more to enjoy in this story. Notably the jaw-dropping dialogue and the interior colour schemes of Cair Paravel. Aahh! My eyes, my eyes! |

I just love how Leonora was fainted when she tripped over a tree root. *snort* Okay, I admit I'm not the most active person--I really prefer sitting down with a book to playing sports--but even I'm not that unhealthy. Seriously. Very fantastic MST. Again. |
| See, for us, there is no fight. Which is why winning doesn't enter into it. We go on, no matter what. Our firm has always been here. In one form or another. The Inquisition. The Khmer Rouge. We were there when the very first cave man clubbed his neighbor. See, we're in the hearts and minds of every single living being. And that, friend, is what's making things so difficult for you. See, the world doesn't work in spite of evil, Angel. It works with us. It works because of us. ~Reprise (AtS 2x15) | |

I'm going to remember Leonora's remarkable fall over a tree root forever. Pity that her amazing power of gravity didn't pull her off a cliff. |
