The only 2nd person narratives I remember reading as a kid were those 'choose your adventure' books. I hated them. I always died in them! One time, I got eaten by this creepy lady.
Smashed down the light. I will not rest till I'm king. Valinor's empty now. allied the elves and men they shall be damned. A Dark Passage, Blind Guardian.

Now truly I am king of the world. Master of fate Damned shall thy house be. Thou shall not question my power Nor shall thou defy me further. The Steadfast, Blind Guardian.

OK - I've just checked my bookshelves. If on a Winter's Night a Traveller is mainly a second-person narration, and is brilliant and witty and generally wonderful. But unless you're a world-class novelist with a lifetime's experience behind you, please don't try this at home!

Merlin: Thank you.
Arthur: For what? For lying to my father to save your worthless hide? If you ever put me in that situation again, Merlin, I will clap you irons myself.

David: Oh and John. My TARDIS... mine. Say sorry.
John: Sorry.

I love those chose your adventure ones! I always die but then I read the book straight through. That's fun.
Books contain knowledge. Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Corruption is a crime. Crime never pays. So, if I keep reading, Im gonna go broke!

They are, you get to travel with the Doctor but everytime they talk about you they say something like 'Don't do that to him'. You don't die but you get kidnapped or save the planet or whatever depending on what you do.

Yer 'cause you would have to do it in chapters and be like 'if you chose X go to chapter 5, if you chose go to chapter 6' plus it probably really complicated to write all those endings and such.
