Another great MST! I'm glad to see Quatres back, I missed him. *Huggles Quatre* Why does her father hate It? He loves the other It, or so I think so why not this one?

Oh boo-hoo daddy angst. I think Rivendell should have the 'Rivendell Mental Institute' where they throw all the Sues so their screams can not be heard..... *Starts a proper evil laugh*

Oh and it's good to see Quatre is back to MSTing *also hugs him* it was nice to have House and the Doc around but I missed Quatre's comma protection *holds up a 'Commas are your friends' placard*

Fishpaste, if you were a father would you love a daughter whose reaction to whatever you said would be "You are being an asshole"? At least I would have hard time trying that.

Sam’s Pov.
Mac: You know, I hold out hope that one day, this “Sam’s POV” leads to a lovely tale about Samwise Gamgee and the Shire.

I'd like that too. But seeing as we're dealing with Suethors here, it would probably involve Sam enjoying some hot Frodo lovin' away from the prying eyes of that stupid, spiteful Rosie Cotton. Probably best if we keep Master Gamgee well away from all of this ...

I turned back to see Elrond’s eyes. God those eyes – they held such pain. He was in pain because of me.
Jareth: You know what, I don’t think so. He had a lot of other things to be in pain over rather than a sixteen year old with mental problems.

Sam, the whole of the fandom's in pain because of you. Don't go thinking that Elrond's special! :P

Dramatic tension's slipping - time for some wangst!

Quote:

“Is there anything you feel you need to talk about now? Are there any problems from your past or present?” Elrond asked.
Sai: Well there’s opening a can of worms!

We sat there in silence for a few minutes before I looked up, “Do you think my daddy loves me?”

Yes, that'll do the job.*headdesk*

Once I'm done betaing it. Hold on to your hat.

Frankly, I don't think he particularly cares for the Other It. I think the Other It is usually better at darting. After all, if It hadn't opened her big mouth, Other It would've been wailed on just as hard as It, in my opinion.

I see some slight flaws in that one. My best friend and her dad have the same personality and temper. So when they get into fights--watch out! But he still loves her and she's called him an "asshole" more than once. In this case, I don't think either mom or dad have an parental feelings toward the girls, probably didn't want them and for reasons Krillball will probably never go into, didn't abort or give them up.

Yeah, I agree in part, Mac. But in the story it sometimes seems Sam is purposely provoking her father. Let's take the last incident, for instance. And I spoke only from my own experience. As a teenager I never called my parents "asshole" or anything else nasty (not that there were any reason, in any case.) Well, that doesn't mean I was the best-behaving boy ever... I only was usually too clever to be caught and thus get into a row.

I see your point. Krillball does write it that Sam's provoking him, though she wants us to see Sam as the complete victim. And I got into fights with my parents and I never called them assholes. In fact, when I read that line, I gasped. My dad isn't violent, but I knew I would be in for it if I called him that as a teenager.

Ah, Sam's constant victimization is grounds for complete sympathy. She has an abusive father, a bevy of mental health problems, general absence of a brain... Oh Sam, I feel so bad for you. *sniffs*

Anyway, this chick is provoking the fights with her dad. And her language is filthier than a truck-driver's. But more than any of this, I just hope, that one day, Krillball learns how not to make a mockery of mental health issues.

I noticed how often she resorts to cursing. She must think it makes her Sue look "cool." I just wish she would stop it.

Well, the Sue got a new mental problem. Does she collect them or what? Brilliant MST, Mac.

Cursing has a time and a place. She hasn't learned that at all yet and it's rather annoying.

I now believe that Sam is suffering from some form of Munchhausen Disease. She keeps thinking she has these mental problems just so she can get attention.

And Ari, you're right. Cursing does have it's place. And it's not in every other word.

Eselin walked over to me and gave me a hard yet friendly look. She smirked then went back to her work. “What are you planning on doing today Sam?” She asked. I watched her for a moment before responding.
Erik (Sam): The usual. Whine about how pathetic I am, cut myself, whine some more, let myself be treated by Elrond so he can boost my self confidence. You?
Sai: Point Erik.

Ten million points, Mac! :D Now we have such a perfect summary, do I have to read the rest of the fic?

Quote:

Sam got up and pulled the side of her pants down.
All:

Um. Uh, yeah. Did Sam just moon Elrond there?

Quote:

Elrond quickly got up and sat down beside Sam. Without thinking he wrapped his arms around her and just held her in a comforting embrace.
All: REMUS!
Remus: Why me?

Gandalf tried not to smirk. They looked like lovers comforting one another. They looked perfect…
*All lose their lunch*

Ditto. Bleaugh!

Quote:

I admire you and I,” Elrond cut himself off before he said something foolish.

Sigh. I think we're rather too late for that, Elrond ...
