I don't know. Not me, that's for certain. I know when I started out, I did a few things I saw constantly in the stories I was reading that now I would never dream of doing. (And yes, that does include in-story author's notes. *Hangs head in shame*) I think they're just imitating the "popular" stories and no one has corrected them so far. |

Apparently. Actually I think it is more a cross between of "imitation is the highest form of flattery" and "well, this seems to go over well with the readers, so I'll do it too and get more reviews!" |

Loved the sudden appearance of Trac(e)y at the end. Great MST, story is getting worse.
Well we discovered last chapter that Rivendell was actually heaven so...
Singing: Everybody dance now. Du, dur dur du!
Oh what a suprise. Not. Although I don't think the Weasley Twins would want to dance with a Sue. |

The ending of this chapter was a homage to MST3K. In one episode, they did an English-dubbed Japanese film called "Prince of Space," which had these villians that looked like chickens and couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. A few episodes later, they did another film called Invasion of the Neptune Men, which was clearly meant has a sequel to Prince of Space in Japan but not treated as such here in the states. But it was so much worse than Prince of Space, they wished for the villians from that flick back. And lo and behold, the chief villian stops by to try and conquer the Satellite of Love but encounters an adoring group. And I don't think the Weasley twins would dance with a Sue either, Sian. |

Not to mention, at which point did Elrond become a Vulcan? Shorty after he became a moron, I suspect. It's the pointy ears, isn't it?

You know I was thinking the same thing. I was reading it and thinking 'Since when was Elrond really Spock? (The half human thing)' then I thought 'actually Vulcans are far to logical to fall for Sues' |

Lol, loved the homage there! Brilliant usage! Nearly spat my tea on the computer screen. Hmm...I wonder if anyone has done a Lord of the Rings/Star Trek crossover before...Spock vs. Elrond. The never ending battle of the pointy-ears.
