Yay! Another MST! Valar, it fells like months... Oh no, Boromir vs Aragorn? This should not be good. Aragorn had better win. And it better not end up being slash! I was curious about why you didn't put an introduction on, you usually do. |

Thank you. I admit Iīm starting a new MST a bit early; I still have three weeks before I go back to the States. But I was going crazy without MSTing, so I thought Iīd get a headstart. I didnīt put in the intro theme song because I already have one written out for my third "season" of MSTs, none of which is posted on this site. So Iīm going to have to wait until I get home to put in the theme song. |

I'm happy to have another of your great MSTs on my humble little forum Jules. It's already been added to the library. ![]() I wonder, even though Phantom's Ange is apparantly writing a good an Elf's love, would you still MST "Middle-earth's last hope"? Not asking you to do it, just asking if you'd be willing someday. Imagine the horror on the prisoners faces. *evil grin* |

Great MST Jules, great to think you missed MSTing that much. |

Well, I did come across some bad fics on the computer here, but I mainly missed writing down snarky comments about them. But yeah, I am mental.
I have three MSTs ready to post that were posted on lotrfanfiction before. Two of Doivenyaīs infamous Wheel of Time lemons and Bardīs troll--at least I hope itīs a troll--about the Mary Sue that fell in love with Galion. And finally, Iīm planning to MST the sequel to "The Tale of Eilinel". Iīd love a party! Itīs tempting to do "Middle-earthīs Last Hope," but now that itīs good, Morgoth would never send it to the prisoners. |

I'm not convinced yet MELH turned good. Sure, it's written well, but was it written by PA? Especially when "A Demon's Love" is as horrible as always... I'm really not convinced yet. Still, if PA really turned good *gasp* We'll need a new worst-mary-sue-writer... |

I donīt believe itīs her work either, but in MSTing, you have to make fun of the writing itself. You canīt write a whole MST in which the author is just accused of plagiarizing over and over again. |

I'm not entirely convinced yet either but since we can't find anyone whose work she may be copying from, we just have to assume she's taking a class/putting some work/actually listening to a beta. And in the Angey thread, I did try to get people to nominate writers for Angey's replacement, but we couldn't think of anyone who is currently writing that lives up to how bad Angey used to be. |

You could let them spork one chapter before Melkor finds out that it's now good. The confusion would be worth it. |

At Journey's End
|
I liked this MST. The story is quite original in a way, I mean, in badfics Boromir usually tends to be only the stock-villain, but in this his (movie-verse) resentment of Aragorn gets the main role. To give the author credit, it's at least a bit original. Otherwise, not a good story. My favourite lines:
Please do, Aragorn! Edit: After carefully reading the intro (it wasn't there when I read the MSīT earlier in the day) I hereby take back every positive word I said about the original story or its author. Denethor may have been many things but he wasn't a paedophile. No way. The riffs, however, are still great. |

Oh, God, if you think the least mention of paedophile!Denethor is bad, wait ītil we get to the fifth chapter. It was just so unspeakably horrid it almost made me cry. And I didnīt even like Denethor when I first read it. If the author actually explored Boromirīs resentment of Aragorn in the movies, it would make an interesting fic, as well as an interesting psychological study. The author could go into why Boromir is so upset, what the sudden entrance of a king upon the scene would do to Boromirīs respect for his father, how he would feel about somebody from the north whoīs apparently destined to rule over his people, how he would feel about having the lordship of Minas Tirith snatched away from him. And then said author could develop Boromirīs growing respect for Aragorn: is it grudging or quick? Does Aragorn have a serious talk with Boromir about this? Does he learn to understand what Aragorn has been going through? Unfortunately, Luinil Telcontar does not go into any of this. Instead, she turns Aragorn into a creepy rapist who "teaches Boromir a lesson" through spanking. She has them have sex through the tritest set-up in the world: Aragorn has to heal Boromirīs wounds. And despite the fact that Aragorn repeatedly humiliates Boromir and wants to rape him, the author keeps saying that he "loves" Boromir and that heīs STILL better than teh ebul! Denethor. So a fic that could be good, interesting, and original is thrown out in favor of a slashy character-slaughter. It drives me up the wall. |

OMG, Aragorn tries to rape Boromir, nay does rape Boromir? Well all I can say is that at least Boromir isn't the rapist for once, everything else gobsmacks me. |
