"It's Over!"

*The trio enters to see Mackenzie smiling at them*
Hawkeye: The epilogue?
Mac: The epilogue.
Hawkeye: Bring it on!

James Daniel Brown was married to Amelia
Mac: Amy is not a nickname for Amelia. They mean two different things.

Nicole Richards a month after his little sister came home from war. The wedding was attended by several members of the 4077th MASH.
All: WHY?
Hawkeye: I could understand me, but I highly doubt everyone would make it.

Among those there were BJ, Peggy, and Erin Hunnicutt and a fourth unborn Hunnicutt.
BJ: A baby, already?
Hawkeye: You sly dog, you!
Mac: But if they returned a month ago, chances are, Peg and BJ would be suspicious—Peg would’ve just missed her period.

Also there was Mr. and Mrs. Charles Emerson Winchester III.
Charles: Oh Jonas!

Margaret had accepted his proposal the day the war ended.
Mac: But they wouldn’t have married so quickly. Hawkeye’s the elope to Vegas type, you’re the big wedding type.
Charles: Indeed. Mother would’ve insisted on a large wedding with a reception at the club following.

Jimmy’s best man was Hawkeye Pierce.
Hawkeye: What, he has no best friends of his own?

Much to the delight of all the guests at the wedding reception (and Kate), Hawkeye was the one to catch the bride’s bouquet and Kate the garter.
Mac: That’s not how it works…
Hawkeye: Wouldn’t I have caught the garter and Kate the bouquet?
Mac: Yes.

Jimmy left on his honeymoon fully aware of the upcoming question Hawkeye would ask later that night.
Hawkeye: Oh Jonas, I’m proposing.
BJ: Congrats!

Hawkeye and Kate Pierce moved to Crabapple Cove, Maine where they started a small practice and raised their two children.
Mac: Aww, you’re living the American dream.
Hawkeye: Finally.

They experienced triumphs like when their daughter Danielle got married to her high school sweetheart and grief when Colonel Potter and Daniel Pierce both passed away.
BJ: I hope those weren’t in chronological order.
Mac: Point BJ.

Jimmy also passed away but not before seeing his children grow up and start families of their own.
Charles: What fell him at such a young age?
Mac: She makes him sound like he was old.

He held on just long enough to see his nephew, James Pierce, earn a gold medal in the Olympics, running track.
Hawkeye: Pretty much…And they all lived happily ever after!
Mac: Point Hawkeye.
BJ: And it’s over!
Charles: Let’s get out of here!

Lucius entered the mess tent. “Not so fast,” he said, smiling. “The story is over.”

“We know,” Hawkeye replied. “That’s why we’re trying to leave.”

Mackenzie chuckled. “No, what he’s referring to is the points ceremony. He’ll reveal which of you three had the most points.”

“And what happens to the person with the most points?” BJ asked.

“He gets a prize,” Lucius responded. “And I’m afraid that won’t be you, BJ. You came in last with three.”

“Darn,” he said. “Though Mackenzie didn’t have any.”

“I’m still in the middle of another story back at his house. I’m frozen and therefore couldn’t award myself or be awarded points.”

“Good explanation. And Hawkeye isn’t the winner either, he had four. Meaning our winner with seven is Charles,” Lucius said, nodding to the winner.

“Me?” Charles squeaked. He then chuckled. “There is justice! I was forced to marry Margaret in that thing and now I win.”

“Swell, Charles, what did you win?” Hawkeye asked.

“I think a vacation in Tokyo would do me some good,” Charles said.

“Done,” Lucius said. “Come, Mackenzie.”

“Aww, can’t I stay?” she pleaded. “One more go at Rosie’s. Please?”

“Fine. But be back tomorrow.” Lucius left and the others went to the bar to celebrate.
