These are my last words, everyone: WHY ARE THERE SO MANY F****** SUETHORS IN THE F****** FANDOM!!!!! AND WHY DID THEY HAVE TO F****** KILL ME!!!

Can someone please make up a nice epitah(sp?) for me?
If I promise not to kill you can I have a hug?

My favorite thing about eating gummy bears is that they don't fight back when bite their heads off

Joker: You know, there are three kinds of people in this world. The optomistic that find the glass half full, and the pessimistic that see it as half empty. Then there's the paranoid, and they just think someone's drinking out of their glass.

Corrigan: Huh, then which one are you?

Joker: I'm the one who knocks the glass over.

Sure!!

Here lies Mae
A valiant sporker
Only to die by reading a horrible Sue
May she rest in peace
In a heaven free of Sues and Suethors

There seems to be a lot of them lately.

'Imagine a sound, too deep to hear, too deep to be anything but felt. Deep enough to shatter worlds. That is the sound of the grief of the people who live in "if," those beautiful, terrible people who can be anything and everything as long as they are Nothing. Poor Mae, we will hold many wakes for you.
I am currently taking donations, for Everton FC. I am afraid that our chairman has forgotten to cough up. So if you could hand me a penny and I will dance for you :P.

I am the monkey and you hold the box, so be nice with that. I don't want to dance like that!

Very nice. *nods*

I love how even though she hasn't gotten any proper flames, she still has readers classifying the CC as 'bad reviews'. *snorts*

Well, I got a reply to it, too:

Quote:

Okay...Holy cow. I'm not so full of myself that i cant improve. At least i let
people know ahead of time that i'm horrible writer not to expect master
pieces. I love Tolkien's story about as much as you i'm sure, if not more. I'm
not turning a blind eye to the negative comments, because you don't know that
i an fact trying to work on this and thanks to everyone telling me to rethink
my blasted fanfic, i am now in the process of changing it since most reading
it loath mary sues. I'm not however going to reread all the books to to make
it better that much better. Call me stupid if you want but it took me nearly
three weeks to just read the first one and even then i didn't fully understand
it because of the way he writes. There is no reason to be rude. I am just
writing to have fun. But if you don't like that fact be happy enough that i am
working on it. If want to read the NEW version of it Be looking for the story
By Chance. Ok?

My reply:

Quote:

I was not being rude. I didn't sugarcoat my words, that is true, but I had no intention of ripping you or your fic to shreds. I was giving constructive critisism, there is no reason to get worked up. It is good that you are willing to improve. That is more than can be said of other authors out there. Perhaps you should try and find a beta reader. These are helpful people that you can send your chapters to before you test them, and they filter out any spelling mistakes and point out things that could be done better or perhaps should be changed. This your choice though, but I advise you to try and find one, you have nothing to loose.

You don't have to go back and reread the books just to write. Even I don't do this, I admit. But there are other, quick ways to look up facts, such as wikipedia or other sites. The internet is full of information, grab as much of it as you can! Also, writing for fun is not a bad thing. In fact, you should write first of all because you enjoy it and like doing it. If you don't like writing there's no point in doing it, since it'll only come across as forced. So by all means, you should have fun writing. But, and do not take this as an offence, writing for fun is no excuse to write bad. I'm not saying your writing is terrible. I just mean that some bad authors out there who can't take people saying their story is bad say that "It's just for fun, so it doesn't have to be good!". No, it should be good. You must always try to write to the best of your abilities. That way, you'll feel satisfied when you finished a chapter, and doing your best will show in your chapter. And if readers see you're doing your very best, you'll have more chance for good reviews. Some stories are not masterpieces, but still get lots of good feedback because the author is obviously doing his best, is friendly to all reviewers (even those leaving bad reviews) and is willing to improve. So don't feel bad if you can't write a masterpiece. I can't either. But that doesn't mean we can't try our very best. If we do, we'll still get good feedback, even if what we write is not a masterpiece! ;)

Keep trying and willing to improve, and soon enough you'll get good reactions even from Tolkien purist. A word of warning though, sometimes stories that are written excellent and are true masterpieces get no reviews at all. Why this is so, I have no clue, but it doesn't necesarily mean your story is bad. I know it is fun to get reviews that tell you you're doing great. We all like praise. But there'll always be people who don't like it, and we have no choice but to accept that. It's good that you can do this, really.

Good luck with your story and your writing, I mean it. :)

Regards,

Refia

Thank you. I have added author's notes and revised some in my first chapter and fourth chapter. I only seem worked up because this day has just started out horribly, but i will not explain. Lol i dont want to bore you. Anyway, I have someone who is wanting to help me finally shes been writing since she was 11 and shes a great writer. So anyway. I hope you read the new one. Its called By chance. I am in the middle of moving so i would give it a couple of weeks. ;)
Thanks for your advise.
