Yes, but it started with the revenge of the Twilight-hater a couple of pages ago.

That Tolkien read Rowling's Harry Potter series and that it's basically a rip-off. The assholes are trying to be funnier than they are.

Incidentally, I have found an author whom I consider better than Tolkien. *ducks tomatoes* His name's Brandon Sanderson and he wrote the Mistborn trilogy which are totally kick-ass.

Ted Dekker was pretty good, a bit confusing but good. House that he wrote with Frank Peretti is scarier than anything Stephen King ever wrote if that tells you anything.

ooh, now I have to read his books!! :D

If I promise not to kill you can I have a hug?

My favorite thing about eating gummy bears is that they don't fight back when bite their heads off

Teddies don't hug back, but sometimes they're all you have...

Joker: You know, there are three kinds of people in this world. The optomistic that find the glass half full, and the pessimistic that see it as half empty. Then there's the paranoid, and they just think someone's drinking out of their glass.

Corrigan: Huh, then which one are you?

Joker: I'm the one who knocks the glass over.

That was a pretty freaky book. Had all sort of weird stuff in it, and it ties in distantly to Ted Dekker's humongous bunch of series within series within series. (Remember what I said about him being confusing?)

Can we add badfics to this thread that aren't LOTR based, or is there another thread to post those on? I've got an iffy looking Star Wars fic...

I've decided that you can, but then this topic needs to be moved out of the LOTR forum, and I don't know to where.

And Encyclopedia Dramatica is a shameful waste of internet space, and I wish I could shoot every author of every page in the nuts and then in the head. The page about the syndrome of Asperger is particulary offensive, as I have said syndrome and being told that you are just an attention whore is something I can do without. My life's bad enough as it is.

Seriously, ED borders on being cyberpestering, IMHO. Should be illegal. Thing is, should they see us complaining about it, they'd just make some more offensive pages about us being WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGST and butthurt and the shit, coupled with some distasteful porn pictures and poor photoshops to boot.

I swear, wrong as it may be, I'd kill them, for all to see I don't give a damn, if I ever met the creator of it in real life. Then they can post pictures of his death on ED. They'll probably find it hilarious, sick as they are.

*fuming*

.... Makes it sound like all socially inept people have it. Assholes.

I didn't even realize it was part of the series until a character was mentioned in passing that is a bad guy in Dekker's series so....

HINT: The Circle series, The Lost Books and the books on Paradise are all related. And I heard a rumour that he's writing a new series based loosely off that... I didn't know House was a part of that though!

Those (cue words too vile to repeat on decent Internet sites like this one) would probably mock the Holocaust and the Nazis. I don't even want to think about their jokes about Emo kids and self-inflicters, both of which I used to be. Asperger's Syndrome? I don't think I've heard of that. What is it, Refie?

I did read that Google and other major search engines won't have anything to do with them, which I think is good. But they should be banned. *is angry*

Words fail to describe how upset I am right now. Seriously.

Asperger syndrome is a form of Higher Functioning Autism and it's hell to deal with, trust me. You shouldn't bag people with learning disabilities. It's not like we can help it.

How higher up autism? I have a brother who's *slightly* autistic. Spent six years trying to get him to talk and the rest of his life trying to get him to shut up.

I dunno how higher up. It's sort of a milder form of Autism. My mum is still trying to get me to talk. . .

We could just make more library threads and keep this as the LotR badfic thread.
