I am currently taking donations, for Everton FC. I am afraid that our chairman has forgotten to cough up. So if you could hand me a penny and I will dance for you :P.

I am the monkey and you hold the box, so be nice with that. I don't want to dance like that!

With Celebrian being the worst?

I'd rate it a seven. It still has the lulz factor.
You are the music while the music lasts--T.S. Eliot

"Stop the damn texting and pick up a book!"--Grandmama, "The Addams Family" (Musical)

"Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life." —Walt Disney

"I wake in the loneliness of sunrise
When the deep purple heaven turns blue
And start to pray
As I pray each day
That I’ll hear some word from you

I lie in the loneliness of evening
Looking out on a silver-flaked sea
And ask the moon
Oh how soon, how soon
Will my love come home to me"--"Loneliness of Evening," Cinderella

"Thank you, Lord
You have brought us
Safe to shore
Be our strength and protection ever more.
A Thiarna dean trocaire
A Chriost dean trocaire
A Thiarna dean trocaire
A Chriost dean trocaire"--Heartland, as performed by Celtic Thunder

It was sickening. . . but compared to Celebrian- a 7
If I promise not to kill you can I have a hug?

My favorite thing about eating gummy bears is that they don't fight back when bite their heads off

Teddies don't hug back, but sometimes they're all you have...

Joker: You know, there are three kinds of people in this world. The optomistic that find the glass half full, and the pessimistic that see it as half empty. Then there's the paranoid, and they just think someone's drinking out of their glass.

Corrigan: Huh, then which one are you?

Joker: I'm the one who knocks the glass over.

I hate to admit this, but I watched the Bakshi version out of curiosity to see what it was like...I barely managed to not die while watching it. It was beyond pathetic......I laughed when I read the summary on it, that summary put everything perfectly together, haha. I was constantly between choking in disgust, gaping in astonishment, and laughing at the idiocy. A perfectly crap film I'd say, and I was so happy to watch PJs proper version of it :D

Oh well, thats the end of my little tale....

I know it is possible to survive watching it, But yeah WATCH OUT! That film is so deranged you could suffer brain damage--I was just lucky to have come out unscathed.

I just heard recently that Legolas's voice was the same guy that played C-3P0 in Star Wars...Oh gasp..

And stoned Elrond, Gollum the deranged frog idiot, Aragorn the complete twit, that sorta thing....ehehe.

And I meant to say Raskin/Bass, in my last post sorry. Although I watched 2 deranged cartoons...It said that one of that one cartoon was made by Ralph Bakshi????? Or are they the same thing? I really am confused here : :o

Ya, I heard the Bakshi one only goes till after the battle of Helm's Deep, not further.

Does anyone know if these 2 are the same?

Get the stones ready for throwing, since I rather liked the Rankin-Bass film when I watched it half a year ago. Granted, it was far from perfect, but there were some effective scenes, such as Gollum's attack on the slope of Mount Doom. The Orcs were ridiculous, though, and the Witch-King made me almost die from laughter, what with his cheap 70's disco-synthesizer voice and LED lights for eyes. And Aragorn seemed to be a major dick in that version, somehow.

As for Bakshi's version, I know it's crap, but it has nostalgic value for me since I was nine or so when I first saw it. You see, when I saw it in the TV in the mid-90's it was the first time I even heard of Tolkien or his works. The Nazgûl and the Orcs are quite effective in that version, too.

Melda, the two films are not the same thing. I read somewhere Rankin-Bass bought the rights for the Return of the King only when it was pretty clear that Bakshi couldn't get money for completing a second film. In fact, there's a gap the size of half the Two Towers between where Bakshi's film ends and the Rankin-Bass adaptation begins.
"Ha! Wonnige Glut! Leuchtender Glanz!
Strahlend nun offen steht mir die Straße.
Im Feuer mich baden!"
