If I promise not to kill you can I have a hug?

My favorite thing about eating gummy bears is that they don't fight back when bite their heads off

Teddies don't hug back, but sometimes they're all you have...

Joker: You know, there are three kinds of people in this world. The optomistic that find the glass half full, and the pessimistic that see it as half empty. Then there's the paranoid, and they just think someone's drinking out of their glass.

Corrigan: Huh, then which one are you?

Joker: I'm the one who knocks the glass over.

Hi Mae! Long time no see!

Quote:

Text it is based on: My Legolas Poem by The Hell Brat

The title and author's name already sound..."promising".
Author's implicated age: early teens. Wannabe goth or Hellboy fan? Or trouble-maker and proud of it?

Quote:

Love of my life for reasons untold

Like...movie and teenage hormones?

Quote:

Of our old life and our life anew,

Oh dear. This screams "past incarnation" plot device.

Quote:

Legends of immortal fear

Mae: Fear of What? The PPC? The Balrog? Peanut butter?

A voice is ringing oh-so-clear

I think it's author swooning over "Ai! Ai! A Balrog has come!" scene. Though why Legolas fangirls swoon over their lust object squealing like a little girl is beyond me. :shrugs: Guess they are that desperate for his lines.
INF would like to add that in the First Age, Elves didn't cry about Balrogs, they charged them.

Quote:

Several times over my beating heart tells me I have my love for you down to an art.

Well, she does. Obsessing about his hair and every single line, regardless of context...a sign of a true fangirl.

At least it was short. *Hands over slivovitz*. Hope you manage to steal the bagpipes from Uruk-Hai.
"I dance the dance of the fool
and pray you find me mad
for if you lay hands upon the root
you'll know me, without illusion
and find me guilty of the truth."

Heyyy Amarth!! I know, it's been ages hasn't it! I've been so busy but I was inspired to spork that randomly and decided it was an excuse to post a few times :P

Urgh, I know. haha, I thought the same! I hate wannabe goths...they're a discrace to all true goths <_< And not all goths write crappy poetry, I'm a goth and I don't.

I never got that either. Besides, movie Legolas is a bit of a wimp, ain't he.

Oh aye, thank the Vala for small mercies. Ooh, thankee! *hugs the slivovitz* I'm trying...he's rather attached to them though *scowls*

Thanks for the review :D

I think your riffs were longer than the actual poem. Of course they were more entertaining...

Just one thing:

Quote:

Erestor: What happened to correct punctuation? *sighs*
Jareth: I think we buried it a long, long time ago. *sad nod*

It's hard to correct punctuation in a poem. Those rules get thrown out the window when it comes to poetry.

Probably why I hate writing it.

Good to see you back!
You are the music while the music lasts--T.S. Eliot

"Stop the damn texting and pick up a book!"--Grandmama, "The Addams Family" (Musical)

"Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life." Walt Disney

"I wake in the loneliness of sunrise
When the deep purple heaven turns blue
And start to pray
As I pray each day
That Ill hear some word from you

I lie in the loneliness of evening
Looking out on a silver-flaked sea
And ask the moon
Oh how soon, how soon
Will my love come home to me"--"Loneliness of Evening," Cinderella

"Thank you, Lord
You have brought us
Safe to shore
Be our strength and protection ever more.

Glad you like it! As you may notice, it's still bound to some minor changes. No change is perfect right away.
