The following is an outline of Salvage rules. Since Salvage is a fairly new activity for us, we fully realize that tweaking may need to be done as we move forward & reserve the right to change the rules without advance notice if we feel it is in the best interest of the shell to do so. If/When changes are made however, every possible effort will be made to notify everyone of changes & make sure that members who have accumulated points prior to the change are not left feeling as if their effort was wasted. Members should gather-together (prepared) @ Aht Urgan Whitegate at 7pm CST - if you arrive later than 7:30pm CST, we reserve the right to leave without you. "Prepared" shall consist of the following: 1. A level 70+ job (with appropriate equipment/tools to perform the job) 2. The Temporary Key Item "Remnants Permit" - Purchasable from an npc for 1,500 assault points 3. A minimum of 1 reraise item (such as a scroll of reraise or a "reraiser" - enchanted items, such as a reraise gorget, are NOT acceptable) 4. Sanction (with appropriate regen/refresh bonus) 5. Echo drops (for any job that casts magic/ninjitsu) 6. Front-line jobs are required to bring 1 hipot tank (with 5-10 hi-pots already dispensed & ready for use) 7. Mages are required to bring 1 hiether tank (with 5-10 hi-ethers already dispensed & ready for use) 8. Food, regardless of quality, is encouraged. Members will be required to attend at least 4 of the 8 most recent Salvage events in order to remain on "active" status. Those who do not make it to at least 4 of the 8 most recent salvage events will be moved to "inactive" status. "Inactive" status will allow us to determine who sits out on a run if we have an event overflow, as well as provide an additional means to narrow down who is allowed to lot on drops. An "active" member, as long as they have sufficient points to purchase the item being lotted would be allowed to lot on items they have marked as priorities before an "inactive" member, regardless of how many points the "inactive" member has accumulated. *Consequently, new members will also need to have attended a minimum 4 weeks of total attendance in order to receive any type of priority status on lotting. Salvage is very often a time intensive event. There are only 100 minutes to achieve the goals set out for the run with no time extensions as there are in dynamis and limbus. In the interest of saving everyone's time and hard earned Assault Points / gil / XP there are certain things everyone should and should not do in Salvage to make the runs go as smoothly as possible. 1. Lot or Pass cells ASAP - As we defeat mobs in Salvage they will drop "cell" items which unlock the "pathos" status effects you incur when you enter Salvage. Every run we will have a basic idea of the order in which cells will be given out to members. When a cell drops the person in charge of cell distribution (at first probably me) will call a member for each cell, that member should lot for their cell as soon as they can and all other members should pass any cell they are not called on to obtain. IF IN DOUBT PASS. The cells can be traded / bazaared so if you were supposed to obtain a cell and accidentaly passed someone can trade you it after it's been droped to their inventory. I cannot stress enough how important this aspect of Salvage is. 2. Do not use the teleporters unless asked to. When one person uses the teleporters to go to the next floor the entire alliance is moved and there is no going back; therefor, one person will be assigned to teleport the group for each floor to ensure we don't leave the floor prematurely. 3. Treasure chests will drop in Salvage with temporary items that one will recognize from Besieged events. These are usualy very powerful meds and as such should be held by a member who will make the most use of them. Under most circumstances these items won't be called out in the LS or Party chat to go to certain characters, but if you check the chest and either don't know what the item does or don't need the item (white mages don't need Barbarian's Drink for example) please do not take the item and leave it for someone who needs/can make use of it. 4. Share your meds. Especialy Hi-Potions. Hate and damage controll can be a tricky issue in Salvage if certain party members haven't had certain pathos removed. Some front line characters may run out of Hi-Potions at some point in the run. If you have some spare Hi-Potions please bazaar them for 1gil so other front line jobs can keep themselves healed. Salvage Rewards 1. 1 attendance point will be rewarded per member per event attended 2. In order to receive any type of priority on drops, members must submit a "priority list" of the gear that they would like to receive from Salvage. The list should be numbered to reflect each piece's value to the player in respect to the other pieces on the list (most important = #1, 2nd most = #2, etc.) 3. Once a member has received one or more of the items that are needed to synth a piece of gear on their priority list, they may NOT re-submit a new priority list that places that piece of gear as a lower priority than it originally was at the time they received the drop. 4. All members will receive the lvl 15 drop of their #1 priority item at no point charge (if a member already has that drop from a previous shell, they may receive the lvl 15 drop of their #2 priority item, etc. instead at no charge) 5. The point-cost of drops will be as follows: lvl 15 drops will cost 2 points to lot lvl 25 drops will cost 5 points to lot lvl 35 drops will cost 10 points to lot 6. In order to participate in a lot, members must have ALL of the following: a. A job (lvl 70+) that can equip the item b. The required amount of points to purchase the item c. The highest (or tied for highest) priority level for that specific drop of all members participating in the run d. The highest amount of points when compared to other members who are tied for the highest priority level on that item, or within at least 9 points of the person who has the highest point total & priority level on the item. I.E. If two members are going after the same item, both have it listed as the same priority #, both have enough points to purchase it, but 1 has 10+ more points than the other person, the person who is 10 points or higher will be allowed to lot exclusively, rather than be forced to lot against the other person. 7. If no one lots, everyone who does not have the corresponding job leveled will be asked to pass the item & it will fall to one of the remaining members on it's own 8. In the event that there is less than 1min remaining in a run, the leader will normally declare that no points will be charged for casting lots on items, however this situation will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. |
