For those of you who live in a cave, there has been an ever widening recall on pet food products that have been manufactured with a product called Wheat Gluten. This is a mainstay in food production both for humans and for pets. Wheat gluten is used a lot in the making of bread. I have used it for breadmaking myself as well. The tainted gluten is coming from China according to sources close to the investigation. It would indicate that the cheaper bread products are going to be the ones primarily affected if this should turn into a broader issue. My advice: spend a little extra on bread and get the name brand bread. Revord |
