[size=5]Smoky Corn and Potato Chowder[/size] (serves: 4) 1½ C. milk 1 can of Cream Corn 6 oz. Cubed cooked ham, or Smoked sausage 1 can Whole Kernel Corn 1 can Whole potatoes 1 C. shredded smoked cheddar, swiss, or gouda cheese __________________________________________________ Stir milk into cream corn in large saucepan. Add ham or sausage, potatoes and corn. Heat through, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese until melted. Garnish with onion slivers if desired. Made this one with some Hillshire Farms Beef Sausage, and some smoked Gouda. The smoked gouda didnt melt as nicely as I would have liked, however, still was good. Perhaps add a couple of dashes of liquid smoke to this to make it a little smokier. Something else to try is hot sausages, or links. This will give it a nice, spicy kick. Revord |
