Ok, so here is the scoop. I was at the Puyallup Fair the other day (Its a big county fair around here in Western Washington) and was browsing some of the food vendors (Of course!) and found some neat stuff I picked up. I got some gourmet seasonings, and this cool tool that I am currently trying out. Ill let you know in an update how it turns out. Anyhow, its a stovetop grill. I know, it sounds cheesy, but for $30 at the fair ($20 off regular price) I thought it would be worth a shot. To see what I got Heres the link. If it works out ok, Ill post about it, as well as some recipies for it (Im sure you could use a standard grill with these recipies with some minor modifications)

EDIT:

It works good! Takes a little getting used to, but its going to be handy when its cold and rainy out (or for those of you who are back east, snowy) If you look at the picture included in the link above, there are slots. Cook meats above those slots. I cooked some boneless porkchops in the center, and it seemed like it took forever (I think that is probably why mine took longer to cook.) Even with the longer cook time, they came out pretty good. The only thing I think I wont be able to do is a brisket or pork butt. But for something that is going to be quick and easy, and relatively easy to clean up and store, this is probably one of the best spent $30 Ive had in a long time.

Anyhow, Ill include some recipes later on. Its time for us daysleepers to go to bed ;)

EDIT (AGAIN :D)

There are a couple of recipes I put in the Quick Meals Section. Honestly, these recipes are pretty easily done on a regular grill as well as the one Im currently using on my stovetop. I think the main difference is going to be the fact its more comfy in my kitchen this time of year than it is outside. While it isnt going to snow, and in Western Washington, it rarely snows much if at all, it still gets pretty cold and damp.
