No, I havent forgotten about the forum. In fact, I visit it several times every week. Life has been pretty crazy lately. Those of you who have known me for a while know that my work schedule has been brutal for the last few months.

Another thing going on is my wife was diagnosed with celiac. Here is a link to a site with a good description of the disease. The only treatment for it currently is a wheat free/gluten free diet. For the last 2 weeks, my wife and I have been on this diet. I dont have celiac, however, I am completely dedicated to supporting my wife in any way necessary in the treatment of this disease. Its not fatal, however, it does inhibit a persons quality of life significantly if not treated. Since being on this diet, we have both experienced a much better sense of well being as well as increased energy, better rest at night, (or day for me :P) and a noticeable reduction in size.

So, sometime in the next week or so, Im going to add a new section to the forum specifically for gluten/wheat free recipies. We have found a wealth of knowledge on the internet, and many recipes that are absolutely fabulous. So, keep your eyes open, as well as your mind. Its really a good way to go in terms of eating. Oh, and one more thing, BBQ is still ON!

My sister-in-law has a gluten intolerance. She doesn't have to go completely wheat-free, butthe less wheat the better for her. She's also vegetarian, so it actually makes protein harder to find, since so many fake meats have gluten in them.

Yeah, we found that out ourselves. Many products such as Garden Burger, and Boca, and various others are not gluten-free. Unfortunately, this is the "glue" that helps hold those products shape. Without it, it would just be a mass of meatless debris :)
