HEY! Hows everyone doing? so ive been doing some writing for the next few turns to come and i thought this would be a good way to collect some input from people. Anyway im just going to list down random thoughts or ideas ive been milling around and if you guys want i would love for you to respond with your thoughts or feelings on them, just so i can get a batter handle on how to progress things. Ill probably do things like this more often depending what kind of response i get. So for now Here goes: mechanical limbs drugs conflict wars raids player driven plot- Being tested somewhat with the Break and Entry quest-line. fixed plot branching quests singular quests golems mechanized battle armor other races (not particularily elves dwarves) organizations/guilds forced quests (everyone or someone would have to participate, i guess there closer to events) zombies ghosts vampires Just post thoughts, concerns, comments, ideas, anything really. The input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Edited by Akara, Sep 6 2011, 09:30 PM.

mechanical limbs - cool, but implement them later so the emphasis is still on magic for a while ![]() drugs - could make things more complicated, plus these are children. how would kids acquire drugs on a guarded island in the first place? conflict - wouldn't be complete without it ![]() wars - not too many, please, and not for a while. raids - please no, unless it's for the plot. player driven plot- Being tested somewhat with the Break and Entry quest-line. - yes please. fixed plot - not too fixed, but sure branching quests - yes, but don't make things too complicated for yourselves. singular quests - don't we already have these? golems - iffy, but could be cool. maybe introduce them in a war? they do have runes all over them. mechanized battle armor - see mechanical limbs. other races (not particularily elves dwarves) - i guess organizations/guilds - yes, of course forced quests (everyone or someone would have to participate, i guess there closer to events) - yes, but you might wanna wrap this one in with the war zombies - eww, not on the island ghosts - could make an interesting quest vampires - prepare for a war between vampire and non-vampire students ![]() And, I don't want to sound picky or ungrateful, but the game feels as though it's a little slow at the moment. I don't know if it's because we're just starting out or something, of it the dice decide, but it seems like the study and training actions take too long to be completed. If there is a reason for this at the moment and it'll speed up later, do tell, but don't take this in the wrong way. Edited by Jakpott, Sep 7 2011, 12:36 AM.

Thanks for the input, but you are right things are a little slow right this second. That mostly has to do with myself and Akara getting back into the swing of things and getting everything worked out. We also dont want people to gain super powers right of the bat. Personally i do want to start picking things up a bit quite soon and thats partially why im asking for how you guys feel about these topics because i have some interesting ideas to go along with them. Perhaps soon rather than later we could pick up the pace for studies and training or maybe give players acess to more at one time? Anyway any other thougths are always appreciated

mechanical limbs - as long as they work as a normal arm along with also having a passive spell, such as exchanging mana for more s, or ag, or dex drugs - Some such as the ones berserkers used would be nice, along with a brewery ![]() conflict - Yes wars - One or two, giving chances to learn new spells raids - See above, but more often player driven plot- Being tested somewhat with the Break and Entry quest-line. - 'ts alright fixed plot - Not too fixed, more flexible branching quests - Yes, especially with a spark method, a brute force method and an intelligence method, branching out depending on the method used to complete the initial quest. singular quests - Yes. golems - OF COURSE, especially if we could use them and make them with our spark, so they would have similar powers. mechanized battle armor - Hollowed out golems! other races (not particularily elves dwarves) - Sure, but everyone is human right now :V organizations/guilds - YESSSSS forced quests (everyone or someone would have to participate, i guess there closer to events) - Some zombies - Yes, but the slow moving kind that is not too overpowered. ghosts - Let's talk to the dead! vampires - Nah, a bit too limited with sparks. Imagine blader's character being a vampire. Couldn't use her spark at all, maybe even my character too. |

mechanical limbs - yes, but should need extra modifications and risk failure when being used to channel magic. Machines and magic traditionally don't mix too well. drugs - Sure, we're students conflict - Yeah... wars - Sure, but with who? raids - See wars player driven plot- it'll happen by itself once people get more powerful fixed plot - blargh branching quests - isn't it all made up as it goes along? singular quests - see branching quests golems - should exist, but not be too easy to maintain. Limit to maybe a couple per mage? (No armies led by individuals) mechanized battle armor - Same as first question (machines) other races (not particularily elves dwarves) - yeah organizations/guilds - yeah forced quests (everyone or someone would have to participate, i guess there closer to events) - as major plot advancements only, otherwise their significance is eroded zombies - summonable, but weak ghosts - summonable, maybe infesting some areas (unquiet spirits?) vampires - Why not? I'd be pretty damn good at killing them ![]() |

mechanical limbs - Very FMA influence here, lol. I think they would be awesome to introduce! Would make this a little more steampunk. drugs - Perhaps leave them free for students to create them, but no self respecting legal shop would sell them. Also makes for great enemies, drug dealers. conflict - More like scheming. Openly conflicts should only break out during trials and since we're still humans, we can refrain ourselves from attacking someone at random. wars - Only at the end of the RPG. raids - Cool, cool stuff. player driv en plot- Being tested somewhat with the Break and Entry quest-line - Awesome enough if someone decides to make it. fixed plot - Will more or less already happen, but it's always nice to have us a purpose here. branching quests - Does not need the moderators to make them, I see branch quests more as player involvement. singular quests - Cool golems - AWESOME! mechanized battle armor - Same as mechanical limbs, not much difference other races (not particularily elves dwarves) - Dwarves would hate us because we use magic. Elves would be our superior in magic and thus the headmaster should've been an elf. Only as enemies I would see them introduced. organizations/guilds - School organisations should exist, yes. forced quests (everyone or someone would have to participate, i guess there closer to events) - Yes please! zombies - Only if it's a byproduct of someone using a necromancing spark ghosts - I don't think that's a good plan. vampires - No more Edward Cullen please. |

Mechanical Limbs - Of course! Drugs - Of course! Conflict - Of course! War - Of course! Raids - Of Course Player Driven Plot - Strike a balance between being player driven and fixed. Player's actions should be able to alter the course, but the experience is richer with some kind of pre-planning. Fixed Plot - See above. Branching Quests - Of course! Singular Quests - Of course! Golems - Of course! Mechanized Battle Armor - Of course! Other Races - Of course! Organizations/Guilds - Of course! Forced Quests - Of course! Zombies - Hell Yeah! Ghosts - Njet. Vampires - Of course! (do not apply if 'vampires' are the wimpified Twilight version. In that case, see Ghosts.) |

Ya the mechanical limbs are somewhat inspired by FMA :p As well I've been playing the new Deus Ex game so ive got mechanical limbs on the brain XD I like the idea of risk to the limbs, very interesting. As for the vampire thing don't worry I'm a firm believer in real vampires, no glitter skin here. I really appreciate the feedback though, definitely confirms the stuff I'm planning will be received positively. Thanks a bunch ![]() |
