As posted on the =LDS= site...

I run a ladder/tournament site that has been active for 4 and a half years now called "The Battlefront Community" or frequently referred to as the BFC. You may have met Kratos and Destroya, who help me out currently. I no longer play SWBF2, but created the site when I got a PS3 for those who could not afford a PS3 or still enjoyed the SWBF2 gameplay and community. We would love to have any and all European clans join us on the ladders.

We are working on rules to help make gameplay fair (based on lag issues) so both Europeans and Americans can host and we can stil determine a fair winner. If you would like to put in some input, please visit http://swbfc.forumotion.com and let us know what you think. I look forward to a competitive USA vs. EU match sometime in the future.

A brief overview of things on the USA side. I bought Battlefront II the day it came out after enjoying SWBF1. I am the most senior member you will find left on SWBF2 by far, although I can no longer player it because my PS2 has broken down and my PS3 is not backwards compatable. However, I have kept in touch with many of my friends from SWBF2 and host the current BFC site for competition among clans and individuals. We welcome EU clans joining our ladders as soon as we figure out how to do battles between the USA and Europe. SWBF2 dies off during the school year (I'm 19, but most of the current SWBF2 players are still in high school, not yet in college), but always seems to make a come back with 8-10 clans or more in the summer.

The BFC has been hosted at many sites between trying to upgrade to nicer .com sites (and deals that have gone bad with sponsors) as well as our fair share of hackings. The current modern generation BFC is http://bfc.forumwise.com and there is a library there of the past couple seasons on the BFC, but certainly not all of them. Much of our history has been lost at different websites. The current BFC is trying to make a come back on Black Ops right now.

I understand this was a long post, but I wanted to introduce myself and I hope to see more of you around.

SoF are registered, so does every battle go through the BFC? Because in Europe, we don't have a mediator, the leaders just organise without a BFC type of thing. I also heard about summer tournaments, but I will talk with you about these issues or questions in chat.

Since about 4 years ago, almost every battle has gone through the BFC. It used to be straight up clan-to-clan for years (we had a couple other ladder sites, but they weren't nearly as successful). Now, there is rarely a battle outside the BFC in the USA. Our first summer tournament will be grunt (trooper) class only battles.

We have opened up ladder competition to the EU clans. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. One rule that we stick by is your MUST battle for ONLY one clan. You cannot battle for LDS and RoR/SoF at the same time. Pick one to battle with all season.
