Zaibach once a mighty nation had fallen in upon itself at the death of the Emperor at the end of the Destiny Wars. Power hungry Dorynkirk did everything he could to immortalize himself and rule with an iron fist. Ironically it was a little girl by the name of Jordan who would restore the country to its former glory. However had the Emperor known how devious and non power hungry his only daughter was, he still would have cried at the changes that had been made to his empire...

As usual the room was packed with politicians, advisors, General's and attendants. A typical morning when The Empress was holding court. It had been several years since that foolish war had caused rife and dirision in Gaiah, but even now people still screamed out for Zaibach blood. She had done everything in her power to help and appease but the latest incident would not go untouched. Her advisors wanted her to marry into a strong country, thus giving her titles to a strong man who would lead Zaibach into a glorious future.

She bit back an irritated sigh as one of her advisors told her what to say and do in this meeting. She marched into the room complelty ignoring him and sat at the head of the table. Ignoring all but the king of Fanalia and the Duke of Freid. She had become friends with them both during the war, having purposely subterfuted her fathers men in order for them to survive. Van had literally become her big brother, Chid the annoying little brother.

Looking around she took in the room her green eyes displaying nothing as she looked around the room. it was a typical board room with chairs and a raised dias at the front, where she sat in a strong wing backed black chair. Her mohagany hair was pulled up in an elegant bun and she wore a gorgeous scarlet red and black dress. Normally she refused, but today she wanted to throw them offguard before she attacked.

The windows were thrown open allowing the scent of the ocean to makes its way through the room and as each person sat in either their assigned seat or in the gallery. The Empress sat demure and straighbacked.. proud in her seat. Her Generals taking seats to the left and right of her, save for Albatou who stood just to the left of her chair at attention. She smiled grimly as the last few people came in and took their seats.

She waited another two seconds before standing and stepping forward her eyes landing first on Van and his companion Merle and then on Chid. A half nod passed between all three unnoticed by the others as the Empress focused her attention to the center of the room where her boldest advisor stood, awaiting her permission to speak. She closed her eyes and focused her attention inward, hiding her emotions and body language. Opening her eyes she nodded once before taking her seat again.

Let the games begin...

Jordan hated anything to do with politics, but as the reigning monarch she was not about to see this country or world plunged into war again. It had cost the people of Gaiah too much already. She attempted to listen as her advisors droned on and on about things she really didn't care about. That is until they came to their favorite topic. Marriage. Her eyes lit up with barely contained fury as she stood suddenly. A hush fell over the assembled room as she strode forward. Dilandau shadowed her.

"I will not marry just because you men demand power. This country and our world is finally recuperating from the war my own Father started for profit and gain. I am no ones pawn, nor will I marry into a power hungry nation. I am not some weak nor demure female and you all would do well to remember that, just because I don't do anything, doesn't mean I can"

Van was the first to stand and publicly acknowledge me, Chid followed as did all of my generals. I smirked as my advisors slinked away knowing that my word was law. People always forgot how much of a bite I had. I turn from the crowd bowing to the visiting nations and walk out the door, content in the knowledge that they wouldn't bother me for a bit.
