Except you're probably actually best of not updating yet, let other people be the guinea pigs for a month or so.. |

I'm going to buy a new PC these days, any suggestions what card would be good? What technology it should have as a minimum (And which CPU it likes most, should i go for intel or amd) Needn't be a budget one, altough most local retailers don't usually have the very best technology available for the few hundred sales they could make here. If you know any "don't"s, or things I should look for as minimum, tell me. I don't know anything about this stuff, but want something that lasts over a year with good relative performance, no junk. |

If you're going to go and buy a new PC.... then start with the brains... the motherboard. This is what will determine what upgrades you'll be allowed to do in the future.... Check out the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe .... it can support the new PCI express Video Cards.. As for CPU... I'm an AMD man myself so If you're on a budget and still want a good CPU.... look at the AMD64 3700+ or bigger... not lower For Video Card.... minimum of an 8 pixel pipeline 128 mb vid card. |
