Big soccer/football countrys will always win the world championship in theory, however the most problematic those teams got it that they are made out of top-notch ego's with an iq around 60. Good teams like england or italy always get team-problems if the tourney takes to long. They will have social-fight behind the field what will lead to lesser results. As an example i can give holland, i think holland is a really supreme soccer nation, who will always play nice at official tourneys for around 2-3 matches, after that, the problems come. They get 'tired', their ego's come in, they dont know what to do in the sparetime they got (as woman are forbidden and leaving the campzone is also forbidden), all in all, good nations with those ego's who earn 4 million a year cause trouble if they are with more then 2, so thats why always 1 or 2 minor pathatic nations suprise every championship. Those small nations, like south korea have nothing to loose, they got 1 goal, they are all poor individuals so must work together to survive and so work harder in the matches. I give the usa a good chance, no real ego's, much nationalism and a winning spirit (we dutch dont want to win, we want to see good soccer and win only if we got good soccer, if we dont saw good soccer, we fire the coach, we're stupid!) |

Italy vs Spain final? not all that unlikely is it. But I think portugal will knock spain out, and italy won't have an easy time against cameroon. Brazil will get knocked out by chile, england will beat germany in the penaly stage, lol. etc etc. Got an accumulator on englands games for 2-2, 2-1, 2-1, 2-2 (pen), 3-1, (mexico) 2-2 (pen loss) (spain) Actually i lie, I have no idea and I only bet on poker. Spain vs Chile (2-2 ET Chile) |

Friend of mine won 1100 quid during the summer on a 1 quid accumulator... 13 games, 9 away teams winning... lucky sob... lol Italy just dont have the legs for tournaments anymore, they and france will do very poorly in this one i reckon (with the referees watching henry a bit closer hopefully!). Germany always do well and portugal will make 1/16. Brazil were shocking against an incredibly shocking England B team, so unless their performances jump up 10 notches they wont be seen anywhere. The US and England will get through but US will be dumped out by ze germanz, with England winning against Ghana via a 80+ minute free kick from beckham... we will subsequently get owned by someone in the 1/16 (havent checked who we would face) via another harsh referee decision and a red card. Ivory Coast to top their group, that is all. |

I was at that game in the supporters section. We played a horrible game but we have to keep in mind that Honduras had their starting 11 while we had a bunch of scrubs and not one player from our starting lineup. ur kidding right din? lol |

In holland we are very pissed on clubs like Real Madrid, they dont got a biljonaire to support them as Chelsea, but the legal system in spain makes it possible for companies to lend as much money as they want, if they can show they can pay it back within 50 years or so , also, the tax they need to pay in spain and portugal is low and the government isnt giving to much restrictions to companies. Real madrid can lend as much money as they want, even while half of europe understand they wont pay the 900 million euros back threy already in debt. In a way, its competetion falsification with other countrys. A club like Ajax cant lend 500 millions here, mostly because companies in Holland need to show that they are healthy, but spain and portugal are different stories seemingly. So clubs who are healthy like Ajax cant buy the same players as those big clubs, and so our best players go spain and italy (where they get paid over the 5 million euro a year). However, i am sure that with the crisis of greece, portugal and spain the rules will become a bit harder, especially because those countrys are almost broke now and the IMF will force them to change the system. |

There's alot of reasons why they have so much money: 1) They're the most popular club in the world so can generate much more revenue from commercial sales around the world, aswell as their business model being centred around buying the top players who will bring in more money from merchandising and effectively fund their own moves as RM have a reported 287m worldwide fanbase. This is most prevelant in the emerging east asian markets where fans are fickle and would swap their allegiance from Man U to Real when Beckham joined them, who actually allowed them to move into asias as he was so popular there at the time. 2) They did some dodgy stuff with the government in 2000:
This basically gave them a government hand out that payed off their debts and an extra 200m Euro's for a better training ground that wasn't on such valuable real estate/new players. 3) The taxes in spain mean players pay alot less than in other countries so the clubs can afford to pay the same wages as elsewhere but the players pay less tax on it making it a lucrative place to play football. 4) Spanish teams arrange their own television rights while most leagues in the world are bundled together with each team getting a share. This means as Real Madrid are so poular and can arrange their own television deals they get considerably more money than everyone else except Barca, their television deal in 2006 for the following 7 seasons was 1.1bn Euro's. In the future this will be even greater with the asian markets still expanding rapidly. This is why they can win ###### all for years and still be the richest club in the world, also why they will continue to win ###### all and Mourinho will be sacked within 2 seasons because they have to buy and play trophy players insteads of building and playing a team to win things. Take Higuan for example, he had a fantastic season but Pellegrino was under pressure to play Benzema instead who flopped, simply because he was one of their marque signings last summer. Perez controls who they buy and play and the manager has very little say in it... |
