Afternoon All, I have been dabbling in buying Napoleon TW and was hoping to find a decent clan to join if I did take the plunge. Now, where do I start? About 11 years ago I created a clan in STW with my then brother-in-law This was called 'The Masters Clan' I believe. Very soon we were one of the premier clans in the game. We had many famous 4v4 battles at Totomi, including a demolition of the Wolves. Myself, I actually won the fisrt 2 player world tournament of Shogun with MizuYuuki. Staying up until 6am GMT to achieve victory! The Masters as they were known then changed their name to The Dreadmaster Clan with Myself as Daimyo and 1Dread1 Star as 2nd in command. The Dreads created and oversaw the first ever multi division league of 1v1. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my demise came at the introduction of Medieval TW, while Star and myself were creating the Round Table Knights and the reigns were handed over to Star, whose name became 'Elrich Of Gaul', and led the clan extremely successfully for a number of years. A great man. I myself had a name change from 1Dread1 Boromir to Sir Rodney Of Peckham, but that is where my contribution really ended. I am very glad to see the clan is continually evolving and even take a little pride in the ethos that has rolled over from the Dreads to today. I am also glad to be remembered in the history section. I just thought I would try to add some history that you may not have known. I could add much more but that would be bordering on obsessional!! Anyway, hopefully I may be able to join you should I follow that path and in the meantime, happy hunting and honour to you all Boromir aka Rodney Of Peckham |

Hail good Sir! It is a pleasure to meet you, and we would surely be glad for your return to the castle you helped create. We've tried to maintain not only the clan's traditions, but the tradition of excellence in game and community. I'm probably most proud of the willingness of our members to contribute to the community over and again for years. Although it is hard to maintain an ideal level of activity over many epochs in TW, we have been active in every one of the series of games, as well as a couple mods. You might be happy to know that due to the ebb and flow of activity over a decade or so, one tradition we have changes is our willingness to allow the return of former members who retired with honor.... once anyway. NTW is a good game, and the community is about as active as ever, although Steam is a new frontier, in many ways. Sorry to be so brief... I have to run, atm... but I look forward to sharing some glory on the field honor and good times! Bows, Mercurius |

Hi there Boromir Of Gondor, Its an honor to see one of the founders return. True NTW might have a few issues but other wise i would say it would be a well worth it buy. Myself and about 4 others are about the onlys playing it at the moment however i am enjoy every minute of it. It would be great if you returned and got it as well seeing as how we could really use some help on the battlefield. We are fielding a team for the CWC and we have two playing in a 1v1 tourny, so as you see RTK is still being represented on the TW field. but of course we could use some help. You are not aware of me but of course i am aware of you. I started TW about 6 months or so of the release of Medieval TW. The first clan i ever joined was Mokum Knights and there is where i learned of RTK and Dread Masters on the battlefield. So the history and makings of RTK are well to known to me ![]() Here is a bit more of a history update for you about the Dread Masters. The Dread Masters ended up becoming the Prophets and then joined with the Hunters. Bachus is still around and plays for the Hunter clan, even though most of them play Viking Invasion. T1Master aka UglyGoat is also with the Hunters as well along with UglyElmo. I hope you do get NTW and cant wait to see you on the battlefield. |

Alas, the old members have dispersed, but if you wish to give NTW a go with RTK, here's our Steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/rtktotalwar/members You'll probably want to talk to somebody actively playing the game, like Merc, Abu or Jai ![]() -- Eh.. when I say Jai, I of course mean Sir Lambert of Whatnot. |

Hail Rodney! I remember you though I think we never played neither in STW or in MTW. It is always good to hear about old RTKs. Feel free to share more details about the past. I always planned to write up a more detailed history of the clan and while I know the late STW and early MTW period I have no knowldge of the earilest STW period and on the origin of the clan. Elrich always was kinda shy about it ... and about our first King. Anyway, feel home, you are always welcomed here. Lional |
