Yeah... that's the truth. We're on the cusp of fusion, nanotechnology, bioengineering, genetic modification, cloning, etc.... all game changing technologies. Of course, "the cusp" could take a long time..... |

There's a cool new show here in America called I've been watching 'The Dean of invention' They take a 30 minute look at futuristic gadgets and medical breakthroughs. There's been several shows on bionics and micro-machines used in surgery. http://planetgreen.discovery.com/tv/dean-o...-invention.html Truly incredible stuff... |

This is mind blowing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ9V5oYetnE When 'Big Dog' starts slipping on ice @ 2:55, the moves it makes to recover seem so organic it's amazing. The number of calculations it makes in real time to do this is mind boggling. Very impressive. |

It's ok, the real breakthroughs in robotics won't come until they start using natural selection effectively in a computer model to design the AI software as it is too complex for the human mind to design compared to feedback. |

Told you AI was gonna conquer the world this decade. hah. WHat a boring world it'd be anyway, knowing there's something out there that can do everything better than you apart from dance and make babies. |
