DOES SOMETHING

We all know what it's like to start a new story - or a new chapter in an ongoing story - and feel completely lost as to how to actually get it moving. Or, worse than that - we get halfway through the chapter and realize that we've written ourselves into a corner.

In Prompts, the goal is for a member to write their story situation and the sticky place they have gotten stuck; Whether it be the beginning, middle or end.

Here are the rules for Prompts

 • Any prompt that you receive is credited to the prompter. (Most prompts are general, rather than story specific, however, one should always give credit where credit is due)
 • Fill out the below form when requesting a prompt.
 • Anyone may answer a prompt request.
 • Do not feel obligated to use any prompt tossed at you. It's your story.
 • Prompts are meant to get the creative juices flowing - not write the story for you.
 • If you take a prompt, why not give one?

Genre of Story
Mood of prompt
General or Specific Prompt?
If General - Give a briefing of the characters (male/female? old/young?)
If Specific - give the names of the characters and the situation they are going through:
Anything else that might be helpful?

Prompts can include, but do not have to be limited to: a title or theme and/or a short scenario. If you want something specifically geared toward your fic, be sure to give as much information as possible. It is always possible to bend a generic prompt into a specific prompt if you don't want to give too much away about your story. ;)
